The Construction of Ecological Images of Ant Forest From the Perspective of Ecological Discourse Analysis
Ecolinguists contend that language serves as a bridge between human beings and the natural environment, reflecting human’s attitudes toward the environment while also shaping people’s environmental behaviors and perspectives. In corporate annual reports, details addressing corporate-nature interaction reveal the company’s attitude toward ecological conservation and also demonstrate its social responsibility concerning this issue. Based on the analytical framework of transitivity for international ecological discourse proposed by He and Wei in 2017, the paper combines both qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze the “Ecological Protection and Restoration” section in Ant Group’s 2023 Sustainable Development Report. The analysis focuses on two dimensions: transitivity structures, participant roles, and classifications of ecological discourse. The study aims to explore how Ant Forest constructs diverse ecological identities, such as being a supporter of national ecological strategies, a proactive practitioner, a global advocate for ecological conservation, etc., thereby encouraging public and social participation toward achieving the Beautiful China initiative
Virtual Coworker and Intelligent Tutor: Research on AI Agent-Driven Innovation in Contextualized Teaching Models for Higher Vocational Education
Higher vocational education has long grappled with the structural dilemma of the schism between the “school field” and the “work field.” Traditional skills training often prioritizes the replication of operational procedures while neglecting the complexity of social interactions inherent in professional scenarios. With the maturation of AI Agent technology empowered by Large Language Models (LLMs), a digital subject capable of simulating autonomous behavior, memory, and planning has become feasible. Grounded in social constructivism—specifically Situated Learning and Cognitive Apprenticeship theories—this paper proposes a dual-agent pedagogical model comprising a “Virtual Coworker” and an “Intelligent Tutor.” This model aims to re-”contextualize” the learner’s cognitive process by constructing a high-fidelity network of professional social relations. Through horizontal collaborative interaction and vertical expert guidance, it facilitates the transformation from mere knowledge acquisition to the generation of professional competency

The analysis seeks to inform the development of a distinctive Chinese paradigm for higher vocational English teaching
The Predicament and Path Forward for University Teachers’ Digital Literacy from the Perspective of Large Model Security
Artificial intelligence technologies, represented by Large Language Models (LLMs), are profoundly reshaping the educational ecosystem, presenting new era-specific demands for teacher digital literacy. However, LLMs are not purely empowering technological tools; their inherent security risks, such as “hallucinations,” privacy leakage, and prompt injection, pose systemic challenges to the authenticity, security, and ethical boundaries of educational activities. This paper, from the perspective of large model security, analyzes the dual effects of LLMs in the educational field. On this basis, it delves into the four-fold predicament that currently confronts the development of teacher digital literacy: cognitive, competency-related, practical, and systemic. The study posits that addressing these challenges requires the construction of a four-dimensional development strategy centered on “Prudent Integration”: at the cognitive level, fostering a critical view of technology; at the competency level, constructing an integrated skill chain; at the practical level, deepening contextualized pedagogical innovation; and at the ecological level, cultivating a multi-layered, collaborative support system. This paper aims to provide theoretical references and practical pathways for the professional development of teachers in the age of artificial intelligence, emphasizing that the core role of the teacher will shift from that of a knowledge transmitter to a prudent constructor of knowledge and a guide of wisdom within a human-AI collaborative environment
Parents’ Beliefs About the Causes of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Their Relationship to Educational Qualifications
The current study aimed to describe parents’ beliefs about the causes of autism spectrum disorder and their relationship to educational qualifications in Jordan. The study sample included 100 parents of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. The researchers developed a study tool consisting of 10 belief statements and verified its validity and reliability. A descriptive survey approach was employed to address the study questions. The results indicated that the overall distribution of beliefs was within the “average” level, with mean values ranging from 2.71 to 3.01. This suggests that most participants’ opinions ranged from moderate agreement to neutrality regarding the various perceived causes of autism. The standard deviations also reflected moderate variation in responses across all belief statements, with an overall mean score of 2.85 (standard deviation = 0.33), indicating that most participants generally held moderate neutral views about the causes of autism. Furthermore, the results revealed statistically significant differences in the means, showing that parents with higher levels of education held significantly more scientifically grounded beliefs compared to those with lower levels of education. The study recommended raising awareness of autism spectrum disorder and its causes, and emphasizing the importance of collaboration between families and specialists
Research on the Influencing Factors of College Students’ Knowledge of Payment Intention in an Information Overload Environment
From the perspective of information overload, this study applies fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) to map the factors influencing college students’ knowledge of payment intention, exploring the interdependent effects shaping their intention to pay. [Method/Process] Based on protection motivation theory and targeting university students, this research collected 215 valid responses through an online questionnaire and conducted data analysis using fsQCA 3.0 software.[Results/Conclusions] Findings reveal that within information overload environments, college Students exhibit heightened threat assessment levels, constituting a core determinant of payment intention. Notably, students demonstrate willingness to incur costs to mitigate adverse conditions, whereas their perceived degree of information overload does not serve as a primary factor influencing payment intention. [Innovation/Limitations] The study offers a novel perspective for explaining the internal mechanisms of payment intention in knowledge services, while also providing practical insights for enhancing payment rates and promoting the development of information services
Wives as Sex Gifts? Interrogating Sexuality in the Tiv Matrimonial System
This paper examines sexuality within the Tiv matrimonial system. It is informed by the fact that Tiv men of Central Nigeria are known to have offered their wives to guests as sex gifts for midnight entertainment during the pre-colonial and colonial periods. These claims have gained currency among scholars, celebrities, and non-Tiv speakers in Nigeria. The paper examines gifting and sexuality in the Tiv matrimonial system from a historical perspective. Using both primary and secondary sources of historical data, the paper argues that sex gifting was alien in the Tiv matrimonial system. While men during the pre-colonial period were offered young girls as marital gifts, such opportunities were not accorded to women, as polyandry was and is considered a sinful act in Tivland. It concludes by not only deconstructing this misconception about Tiv men and sexuality but also offers plausible solutions that address stereotypes in Tiv and African historiography.
Labour Turnover and Organizations’ Productivity of Banks in Delta State, Nigeria: A Study of Selected Banks in Ughelli, Delta State, Nigeria
The study focused on “Labour Turnover and Organizations’ Productivity of banks in Delta State, Nigeria”. The purpose was to examine the extent to which the high rate of labour turnover affects organizations’ productivity in five selected banks in Delta State, Nigeria. The study adopted the Firm Specific Human Capital (FSHC) Theory. A sample size of 327 was drawn using the purposive , question and interview methods. The study employed Purposive, Simple Random sampling and Convenience sampling techniques in the selection of the respondents. Primary and secondary data were used in the collection of data. Three research questions were raised that matched with the specific objectives which were derived from the aim of the study. The data was analyzed with the use of simple table percentages and descriptive method. The findings of the study includes: that high labour turnover affect organizational productivity in the selected banks studied. 2. Revealed that reduction in the wages or salaries of workers is a major cause of labour turnover in the selected banks and this also affects productivity in the selected banks studied. 3. Organizations’ conflict causes labour turnover in the selected banks. The study made some recommendations: 1. That the banks and other organizations should try to avoid various cases that can lead to high labour turnover such as; wages reduction, factors that cause frictions among employee’s relationship, develop a good policy on staff recruitment and dismissal and introduce incentives that encourage workers to stay instead of leaving the banks. 2. That promotions and incentives should be used as a tool to reduce labour turnover. 3. That organization must learn to stop hiring and firing as these could make workers to lose confidence in many organizations. 4. That organizations should make room for training and development of staff. This will encourage staff growth and full confidence and a sense of belonging
State Sovereignty and the Protection of Internally Displaced Persons under the Kampala Convention: Lessons from Cameroon’s Anglophone Conflict
This paper highlights the interplay between State sovereignty, State obligations and the sustainable protection of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) under the African Union Convention for the Protection and Assistance of Internally Displaced Persons in Africa, with special focus on Cameroon’s ongoing anglophone conflict. It highlights how Cameroon’s use of sovereignty both as a shield and a tool has undermined its obligations to protect IDPs, especially in conflict settings. This is done by assessing the fairness with which the state of Cameroon juggles its right of sovereignty in the face of its obligations under the Convention. The paper finds that, because of different reasons, the right of sovereignty is used either consciously or unconsciously, legally or illegally, by the state of Cameroon, adversely affecting the protection and assistance of IDPs. Consequently, the state has been unable to transparently and fully incorporate its obligations under the Convention into domestic law. The paper proposes possible solutions aimed at improving the protection of IDPs as required under the Convention
The Fifteenth Amendment of the Constitution of Bangladesh: A Review
In Bangladesh’s history of constitutional amendments, the Fifteenth Amendment to the Constitution represents a major turning point. This extensive amendment provoked intense debates and discussions among stakeholders, including scholars, political parties, constitutional experts and the public. The amendment sought to align the core principles of the 1972 founding constitution with the constitutional framework but with some major modifications. This qualitative study uses document analysis to understand the wide-ranging effects of this amendment. The research aims to thoroughly assess the Fifteenth Amendment’s implications, focusing on its main distinctive additions, drawbacks, competing concerns, and potential impact on the country’s democratic system. The assessment concentrates on a few developments, such as the restoration of fundamental principles, environmental sustainability, fifty seats reserved for women in parliament, incorporating the speech of 7th March and declaration of independence, reformation of the election commission, and so on. However, it also delves into contentious areas, such as restrictions over amending some articles, the dissolution of the caretaker government system, and debates about secularism vs. religion so on. The study also provides pragmatic recommendations to strengthen democratic values, covering a wide range of topics from environmental preservation to gender representation in the constitution. Finally, this research sheds light on the complex correlation between religious beliefs, societal objectives, and democratic values within Bangladesh’s evolving constitutional framework, marking a significant turning point in the nation’s democratic development
