Get PDFBased on Morris’ s Semiotics, this thesis makes comparisons of traditional cultural expressions between《檀香刑》and Sandalwood Death from three aspects: syntactic meaning, semantic meaning and pragmatic meaning,revealing that Goldblatt has overcome the limitations in translation and achieved the balance between faithfulness and creation in representing Chinese culture in the source text. In this way, he has brought a new literary vitality to the English version of Sandalwood Death

Optimization of Blended Learning for Open Education From the Perspective of Instructional Interaction: A Case Study of English for the Humanities
Get PDFOne of the advantages of open education is the potential integration of online and offline learning. However, in practice, this integration has not been fully achieved. This study explores attempts to optimize blended learning for open education by promoting instructional interaction, which is essential for successful learning. Using English for Humanities as an example, the study found that interaction between learners and learning resources can be promoted by enriching materials and designing tasks with appropriate difficulty levels based on real-life situations. When an open discourse learning environment is established and daily communication is enhanced, students become more active in social interaction. The optimized blended learning approach has been shown to improve students’ learning participation and satisfaction. However, the study also revealed that the online interaction between students and resources remains at a relatively low level due to a lack of effective supervision and timely guidance. This practical study provides methods to promote instructional interaction and effective blended learning for open education.

Get PDFThis paper shall look into Religion, fundamentalism and globalization, the introduction, the meaning of Religion, the term fundamentalisms and globalization which presents a number of problems to the scholars of religion, both inclusivity and cultural explanations for religious phenomena have found themselves under attack from a number of fundamentalisms that have appeared in most of the worlds major faith traditions with growing popularity throughout the latter half of the twentieth century in particular strongly critical of pluralism, each fundamentalisms has developed and exclusive truth-claim, Chris partridge, on the other hand, takes a view that ‘fundamentalisms’ does not do justice to the diversity of religious traditions and their own unique historical development. Some scholars have attempted to define ‘fundamentalism’ more precisely than the popular usage of the term, these scholars tend to take two approaches. They either attempt to identify a more penetrating understanding of the phenomenon by seeking to define it or, alternatively, they provide a list of common features. The Hadden and Schupe, two sociologist of religion in 1989 provided the following definition: a pattern of contemporary socio-political movement” that share certain characteristics in their response to a common globalization process. The paper shall also look at an approach to fundamentalisms, which reactive to marginalization of religion especially secularation, selectivity, moral dualism, absolutism millennialism. Niels Nielsen consider that fundamentalist version of religious truth-claims are ‘first and foremost a negative response to what is seen as the spectre of modernity (Nielsen, 1993, p.3)

The standard language as established by the Holy Quran. The alphabetical script used for writing of Arabic probably since about the fourth century Ad and adopted with modifications by Persian, Urdu and many other language. A distinguishing feature of this script is the fact that etymologically short vowels are not normally represented as a successor to the Nigerian Association of University Teachers that was founded in 1965, ASSU was formed in 1978 to cater for the interest of all academic staff in federal and state universities in Nigeria. Although ASUU consist of many universities, there are several other universities that are not under ASSU as body. The union was active in struggle against the military regime during the 1980s. In 1988 the union organized a National strike to obtain fair wages and university autonomy. As a result, the ASUU was proscribed on 7th August, 1988 and all its property seized. It was allowed to resume in 1990, but after another strike was again banned on 23rd August, 1992

The Correlation Study between Business Models and Corporate Performance from the Perspective of Value Network: A Case Study of Listed Manufacturing Companies in Taizhou
Get PDFStrengthening cluster development is conducive to the collective improvement of urban manufacturing, but businesses will become more dependent on the value network. In order to explore the differences in performance between different business models under the value network and to investigate the business models suitable for specific enterprises, this article selects relevant data from the GEM-listed manufacturing companies. It includes an index system for classifying business models, the classification, and characteristics of business models. The relationship between the types of business models and performance is interpreted from the perspective of specific indicators of performance measurement, factor analysis, and variable explanation. Finally, the data suggests that processing-oriented enterprises with concentrated customers and low brand awareness are conducive to rapid development. However, focusing on research and development, innovative investment, and increasing the resilience of the industrial chain are beneficial for later growth and transformation
An Analysis of the Liberation of Eros in Updike’s Works
Get PDFUpdike’s novels often involve the survival dilemma of modern people, such as the lack of love, interpersonal tension, personal life depression, monotonous work and other contemporary problems. These problems have a variety of forms of expression, have deep social and historical roots, and involve the complex relationship between people, people and themselves. In the past, the academic circle has explored these issues, but there have been few discussions from the perspective of Eros liberation, resulting in a lack of research in this area. Based on Herbert Marcuse’s theory of the liberation of Eros, this paper explores the solutions contained in Updike’s works by discussing Rabbit’s development of individual potential, the sublimation of Eros, Rabbit’s mutual love and Caldwell’s fraternity, and analyzes these solutions from different aspects. Through these analyses, it is hoped that a new perspective can be provided to solve these problems and a new dimension can be added to the study of Updike’s works
