D.H.Lawrence’s Works on Love Ethics and their Moral Significance

Lawrence advocates a return to natural human instincts and the pursuit of harmony between the spirit and the flesh. This reflects a respect for human nature and the recognition of natural desires, which is in line with ethical principles that uphold the dignity of the individual. In his works, Lawrence criticized the intervention of false rationality and morality in human nature, advocating for the pursuit of authentic and sincere love. This embodies the moral and ethical values of honesty, authenticity, and candor. According to Lawrence, true love should be genuine and unfettered, not constrained by hypocritical moral norms. This aligns with ethical principles that prioritize truthfulness and sincerity.Lawrence believed that true love should be based on mutual respect and equality, not one-sided control or oppression. This resonates with ethical principles that emphasize equality and respect. Lawrence saw healthy personalities and a pure, beautiful natural environment as essential stages for love relationships. This embodies moral and ethical concerns for nature and the environment. He was critical of the polluted environments created by industrial civilization, arguing that they were unfavorable to the occurrence of perfect love. This aligns with ethical views that promote harmony between humans and nature and the protection of the environment

Mediated Dreams, Lived Realities: A Cross-Cultural Grounded Theory Study of Chongqing’s Image Construction among German Residents

In an increasingly interconnected yet polarized global landscape, this study critically investigates how German residents in Chongqing, China, cognitively construct perceptions of the city’s image. Employing a constructivist grounded theory, we analyzed in-depth interview data from 17 German residents, triangulated with online public data. Findings reveal a dynamic transition from an initial, online-mediated, symbolically charged “conceptual Chongqing” to an offline, sensorially-engaged “perceived Chongqing.” Online exposure, characterized by prominent visual symbols (e.g., nightscapes, hot pot), simplifies the image, fostering initial impressions. This symbolic cognition, however, often leads to cognitive capture by aestheticized narratives, potentially reinforcing stereotypes. Conversely, offline experiences, involving multi-sensory engagement and direct social interactions, profoundly enrich perceptions, rendering the image vivid and nuanced. Critical points of cognitive dissonance arise where idealized online symbols clash with complex offline realities, prompting emotional fluctuations and perceptual recalibration. This dialectic highlights how mediated representational logics are culturally embodied and negotiated through lived experience, foregrounding active audience roles in critically re-negotiating ‘Other’ representations within a complex intercultural landscape. The study proposes a novel theoretical model of cross-cultural image construction, offering insights into how global narratives, power dynamics, and situated cultural interpretations dynamically converge in shaping place perception in the digital age

Research on the Pathways and Mechanisms of AI Agents Empowering Teacher TPACK Development

With the increasing penetration of artificial intelligence technology in the educational field, AI Agents, as intelligent entities characterized by autonomy, adaptability, and interactivity, are presenting new opportunities for teacher professional development. Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) is the core competency that determines whether technology can be effectively integrated into teaching practice. This study aims to explore the multi-dimensional pathways through which AI agents empower teacher TPACK development, with a focus on discerning the deep-seated mechanisms behind this empowerment. Theoretically, the research deepens the understanding of a threefold mechanism: “Diagnosis-Feedback,” “Situation-Reflection,” and “Collaboration-Generation.” It further constructs an implementation strategy framework encompassing micro (Human-Agent collaboration), meso (organizational support), and macro (ecosystem construction) levels. This study endeavors to provide theoretical support for understanding and designing teacher professional development intervention programs based on AI agents.

Cultural Competence as a Tool for Conflict Resolution and Social Cohesion in Adult Learning Contexts

This paper examines cultural competence as an essential tool for conflict resolution and social cohesion in adult learning settings. Using conceptual analysis, literature review, and illustrative case studies, the study emphasises how cultural competence helps educators and learners navigate diversity, reduce bias, and turn potential conflicts into opportunities for dialogue and collaboration. The research applies Intercultural Competence Theory to show how attitudes, knowledge, and skills promote inclusivity, trust, and positive conflict transformation in multicultural environments. Two case studies, an interethnic miscommunication during the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and a classroom conflict related to cultural differences in hierarchy and egalitarianism, illustrate the practical use of cultural competence in resolving disputes. The paper states that adult learning environments, increasingly influenced by globalisation and diversity, need deliberate policies, institutional support, and ongoing professional development to integrate cultural competence into curricula and practice. It concludes that cultural competence not only helps reduce conflict but also advances equity, peacebuilding, and social cohesion in adult education
