    Pilots in aviation an important role in the safety of passengers while in flight. A case of drug use by a pilot is considerably shocking the aviation world. Drug use by pilots certainly something that can not be tolerated, because pilots are responsibility for the safety of passengers. In an effort to realize comprehensive aviation safety, it required an assessment of health surveillance forms that has been the basis for pilothealth surveillance forms that has been the basis for pilot health appraisal. Analysis were conducted using descriptive method and results show the unavailability of an effective form of health surveillance for pilots due to solely relying on the government’s role as a regulator to secure all aviation safety. It is expected that all parties including the government, privates, society and every flight practitioner will give their support.Pilot dalam dunia penerbangan memegang peranan penting dalam keselamatan para penumpang selama berada dalam pesawat. Terjadinya peristiwa penggunaan salah satu narkoba oleh pilot sangat mengejutkan dunia penerbangan. Penggunaan narkoba oleh pilot tentu bukanlah hal yang dapat ditoleransi, karena tanggung jawab pilot atas keselamatan ratusan penumpang. Dalam upaya mewujudkan keselamatan penerbangan yang menyeluruh, diperlukan pengkajian terhadap pengawasan bentuk kesehatan yang selama ini menjadi dasar bagi penilaian kesehatan pilot. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif dan hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa belum tersedianya bentuk pengawasan kesehatan yang efektif bagi pilot jika hanya mengandalkan peran pemerintah sebagai regulator untuk menjamin seluruh keselamatan penerbangan, diharapkan dukungan dari semua pihak, baik itu pemerintah, swasta, masyarakat serta para pelaku penerbangan itu sendiri

    Each aircraft produced by a factory is equipped with operating manual that contains technical data and operating conditions of the aircraft. One of the data is the basic length of runway that very much depends on the elevation and temperature as well as the slope of the airport runway. The basic length set up by the factory must be corrected. The corrected basic length will be summed up in cummulative. If the sum of the correction is bigger than 35%, the study must be done more specific.Setiap pesawat udara yang diproduksi oleh pabrik dilengkapi dengan manual pengoperasiannya, yang memuat data teknis maupun persyaratan pengoperasiannya. Data tersebut diantaranya adalah panjang landasan dasar/basic length dari landas pacu sangat dipengaruhi oleh elevasi maupun temperatur /suhu serta slope/kemiringan landas pacu di bandara. Panjang dasar yang ditemtukan oleh pabrik tersebut harus dikoreksi. Panjang dasar yang dikoreksi hasilnya dijumlahkan secara kumulatif dan bila hasil koreksinya lebih besar dari 35 % maka harus dapat dilakukan studi yang lebih spesifik lagi

In the law No. 1 of 2009 on aviation in paragraph 1 has stated that any business entity or unit of an airport operator is obliged to provide airport facilities that meet safety and aviation security and airport services in accordance with established service standards. Flight accident relief unit and fire Department (PKP-PK) is one of the units contained in the organizational structure of airport that are part of the field of ground operations, which have the task to rescue and firefighting aviation accident or fire during take off or landing. Condition of equipment facilities in the PKP-PK Haluleo the airport is currently still requires some facilities, as well as officer are still limited and in part have not been following the training. Bandara Haluoleo adalah bandara perintis yang dimiliki oleh provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Bandara ini sebelunmya bemama Bandara Wolter Monginsidi, kondisi bandara tersebut masih sangat minim dalam hal bantuan fasilitas peralatan pertolongan kecelakaan pesawat dan pemadam kebakaran (PKP-PK), sementara tugas pelayanan bandara setiap hari membutuhkan fasilitas yang lengkap Pertolongan Kecelakaan Pesawat dan Pemadam Kebakaran (PKP-PK) merupakan salah satu unit yang terkandung dalam struktur organisasi bandara yang merupakan bagian dari bidang operasi darat, yang memiliki tugas untuk kecelakaan penerbangan, pemadam kebakaran, penyelamatan dan tanggap darurat saat take-off atau landing.     In developing Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar, one of the efforts is by installing Approach Light System, a navigation tool installed at both runway edges used to improve flight security and safety. By installing Approach Light System at both runway edges, it can guarantee safety flight in order to develop air traffic system in the movement area that is safe, fast and smooth.The objective of Approach Light System is to provide clear guides to pilots when performing landing on the runways. The tool is also useful for making accurate landing of the aircraft.By using descriptive qualitative technical approach method in the analysis of this study, it can be concluded that by completely installing the Approach Light System at both runway edges in Sultan Hasanuddin Airport, it has met the regulation number SKEP/114/VI/2002 on the Airport Installation System Standard Blueprint (Airfield Lighting System) issued by the General Directorate of Air Transport so that safe and secure flight can be conducted optimally and aircraft movement can be increased as well.Approach Light System merupakan peralatan navigasi pada kedua ambang landasan untuk meningkatkan keamanan dan keselamatan penerbangan. Tujuan dan manfaat dari Approach Light system adalah untuk memberikan tuntutan kepada pilot/penerbang saat melakukan pendaratan menuju landasan dan manfaatnya untuk ketepatan pendaratan pesawat udara.Melalui metode pendekatan teknis deskriptif kualitatif dalam melakukan analisis pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan terpenuhinya kebutuhan Approach Light system pada kedua ambang landasan bandara Sultan Hasanudin Makassar, maka sudah sesuai dengan ketentuan yang berlaku yaitu SKEP/114/VI/2002 yang diterbitkan oleh Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Udara tentang Standar Gambar Instalasi Sistem Bandar Udara (Airfield Lighting System) sehingga dapat terselenggara keamanan dan keselamatan penerbangan secara optimal dan dapat meningkatkan pergerakan pesawat udara

    Security personnel are one of the air personnel who are responsible for the security in the flight activities. The quality of the security personnel’s performance certainly affects the quality of the security in the airports. Hang Nadim Airport Batam is one of the airports located in Indonesian borderlines. This condition encourages the airport authorities to improve the quality of the security personnel’s performance. This study is aimed at recognizing the factors that affect the security personnel’s performance in Hang Nadim Airport. The formed factors can be used as reference in creating policies to improve the security personnel’s performance. The method used in this study is factor analysis. This study uses security personnel’s perception data on factors that affect the employees’ performance in general. Based on the result of the study, there are 5 (five) main factors that affect the security personnel’s performance as follows: (1) management policy in protecting the security personnel; (2) cooperation and solidarity within the security personnel; (3) education, income and reward; (4) work regulations and disciplinary sanctions; (5) job difficulty level.Personel keamanan merupakan salah satu personel penerbangan yang bertugas untuk melakukan pengamanan dalam aktifitas penerbangan. Kualitas kinerja personel keamanan tentu mempengaruhi kualitas keamanan di bandar udara. Bandara Hang Nadim Batam merupakan salah satu bandara yang berada di perbatasan Negara Indonesia. Hal ini memacu pengelola bandar udara untuk meningkatkan kualitas kinerja personel keamanan yang baik. Pengkajian ini bertujuan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja personel keamanan di Bandara Hang Nadim. Faktor-faktor yang terbentuk dapat dijadikan sebagai acuan dalam merumuskan kebijakan untuk meningkatkan kinerja personel keamanan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengkajian adalah analisis faktor. Pengkajian ini menggunakan data persepsi personel keamanan tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan secara umum. Berdasarkan hasil kajian, ada 5 faktor utama yang mempengaruhi kinerja personel keamanan yaitu : (1) kebijakan pimpinan dalam mengayomi personel keamanan, (2) kerjasama dan kekompakan antar personel keamanan, (3) pendidikan, penghasilan dan penghargaan, (4) peraturan kerja atau sanksi disiplin, dan (5) tingkat kesulitan pekerjaan

    Air transportation has the highest energy consumption based on its speed among other transportation sector, such as land and marine transportation. Fuel cost is about 13-20 % of total operating cost of airline. PT. Garuda Indonesia is one of the national airline which high improvement. In 2010, PT. Garuda Indonesia has 67 unit of aircraft and will be increase to 116 unit of aircraft in 2014. The goal of this research is to estimate the energy consumption in PT. Garuda Indonesia until 2015. Result shows that in 2015, energy consumption in PT. Garuda Indonesia increase for about 33% or about 24.247 PJ of energy or 0,55 MegaTon of fuel compare to its fuel consumption in 2010.Transportasi udara merupakan sektor transportasi yang memiliki tingkat konsumsi energi paling tinggi berdasarkan kecepatannya. Pengeluaran maskapai penerbangan untuk bahan bakar minyak pesawat udara mencapai 13-20% dari total biaya operasional. PT. Garuda Indonesia merupakan salah satu maskapai penerbangan nasional yang mengalami perkembangan yang pesat beberapa tahun belakangan ini. Pada tahun 2010 Garuda Indonesia memiliki 67 armada pesawat udara dan ditargetkan menjadi 116 armada pada tahun 2014. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran kebutuhan energi di PT. Garuda Indonesia sampai dengan tahun 2015. Hasil kajian menunjukkan pemakaian energi di PT. Garuda Indonesia meningkat 33% atau sebesar 24.247 PJ atau 0,55 Mega Ton bahan bakar minyak dibandingkan pemakaian bahan bakar pada tahun 2010.&nbsp

The condition of Sultan Mahmud International Airport Badaruddin II - Palembang is now a airport passenger terminal has the capacity to category \u27medium \u27which for some major facilities for the public service has met the technical requirements of the operation. Development is needed only at the departure hall and the vast number of seats for the passengers in the departure terminal which must be added the amount. The results of forecasting the number of passengers using linear regression and time series data of the total number of annual passengers arrive and depart at the airport Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II - Palembang showed a linear trend increase is not so striking, the average increase per year increased only 174.631 people.Bandar udara internasional Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II – Palembang termasuk dalam katagori bandara internasional pengumpul sekunder karena jumlah pengguna jasanya antara 1-5 juta orang per tahun, telah melayani 2,1 juta pergerakan penumpang baik domestic maupun internasional, sementara terminal yang ada saat ini dengan luas 23.000 m2 disiapkan hanya untuk melayani 1 juta pergerakan penumpang per tahun, maka kondisi terminal bandara Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Palembang saat ini terbilang sudah cukup padat. kondisi Bandara Internasional Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II – Palembang saat ini merupakan bandar udara yang memiliki kapasitas terminal penumpang dengan katagori „menengah‟. Pengembangan yang dibutuhkan hanya pada luas hall keberangkatan dan jumlah tempat duduk untuk penumpang di terminal keberangkatan yang harus ditambah jumlahnya. Hasil peramalan jumlah penumpang dengan menggunakan regresi linier dan data time series dari jumlah total tahunan penumpang yang datang dan berangkat di Bandara Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II – Palembang menunjukkan trend linier yang peningkatannya rata- per tahunnya hanya bertambah 174,631 orang
