    Kualanamu Medan Airport Construction is an alternative to overcome the operational limitations and the land that was experienced Polonia Airport. Airport security enhancement program Kualanamu Medan when operating include airport security aspects of the provision of facilities consisting of: X-Ray facility 12 units, Walk Throught Metal Detector (WTMD) 14 units, Hand Held Metal Detector (HHMD) 24 units, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV , Explosive Detection System 2 units, 2 units Liquit Scan Detecto,, Detector Nubikara 2 units (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, Radio Active), Body Scane 1 unit, Body Inspector, Airport For Perimeter Surveillance, Security Inspection Car and Motorcycle 4. The security officer in Medan Airport Kualanamu totaling 204 personnel consisting of 124 personnel from the PT. Angkasa PuraII, 40 BKO-military personnel who assisted and 40 staff personnel outsoursing. The system and airport security procedures will refer to the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation No. 9 of 2010 about the National Aviation Security Programme and ICAO in Annex17 on Security and Document-8973 on the Security Manual for Safeguarding Civil Aviation Against Acts of Unlawful Interference, that the safety and security systems at airports should be the maximum, using equipment and adequate procedures that ensure safety and smooth flight. Pembangunan Bandara Kualanamu Medan merupakan alternatif untuk mengatasi keterbatasan operasional dan tanah yang dialami Bandara Polonia. Program peningkatan keamanan bandara Kualanamu Medan saat dioperasikan meliputi aspek keamanan bandara, penyediaan fasilitas yang terdiri dari: 12unit fasilitas X-Ray, 14 unit Walking Through Mental Detector (WTMD), 24 unit Hand Held Metal Detector (HHMD), 2 unit Closed Circuit Television (CCTV)dan sistem Deteksi peledak, 2 unit Liquit Pindai Detecto, 2 unit Detector Nubikara (Nuklir, Biologi, Kimia, Radio Aktif), Badan Scane 1 unit, Bandara Untuk Surveillance Perimeter, 4 Mobil Keamanan Inspeksi dan Sepeda Motor petugas keamanan di Medan Bandara Kualanamu sebesar 204 personel yang terdiri dari 124 personil dari PT Angkasa Pura II, 40 BKO-personil militer yang dibantu dan 40 personil staf outsoursing. Sistem dan prosedur keamanan bandara akan mengacu pada Peraturan Menteri Perhubungan Nomor 9 tahun 2010 tentang National Aviation Security Program dan ICAO dalam Annex-17 tentang Keamanan dan manual dokumen-8973 tentang Keamanan Penerbangan Sipil upaya pelanggaran hukum, bahwa keamanan dan sistem keamanan di bandara harus maksimal , menggunakan peralatan dan prosedur yang memadai yang menjamin keamanan dan kelancaran penerbangan

    Evaluation of air side facility (runway sweeper) maintenance at Juanda airport in Surabaya is to know whether the air side facility (runway sweeper) maintenance system at Juanda airport in Surabaya meets the maintenance standard which is set by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and still qualify to be operated. Assessment method used is descriptive qualitative method; detailed explanation based on the compilation of primary data and secondary data which have been processed. The results show that runway sweeper equipment maintenance done by technician at Juanda airport in Surabaya is still less than the maximum level according to the procedures established by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation about equipment maintenance

    Adequate drainage system for disposal of water on the surface and subsurface is important for the safety of aircraft and pavement age. In the context of penerbanga safety, evaluation of the effectiveness of the implementation of the drainage system in Kualanamu-Medan airport, is important. Extensive evaluation was conducted by comparing the dimensions of the channel with the channel dimensions calculated using n formula field with a rational method of flood discharge. Calculation results show that the dimensions of the main drainage channel Kualanamu airport lines 1, 2, 3, 4 5 and the South line has been quallfied as having a greater dimension of the calculation. The results confirms that the drainage system Kualanamu-Medan airport able to accommodate the rain water runoff as well. Sistem drainase yang memadai untuk pembuangan air pada permukaan dan dibawah permukaan adalah penting bagi keselamatan pesawat dan umur perkerasan. Dalam konteks keselamatan penerbangan, evaluasi efektifitas penerapan system drainase di Bandar udara Kualanamu- Medan, adalah penting. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan membandingkan luas dimensi saluran hasil perhitungan dengan dimensi saluran dilapangan menggunakan rumus debit banjir metode rasional serta menurut kaidah-kaidah teknis dalam perencanaan saluran. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa dimensi saluran drainase utama bandara Kualanamu jalur 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 dan jalur Selatan telah memenuhi syarat karena mempunyai dimensi yang lebih besar dari hasil perhitungan. Hal tersebut menegaskan bahwa system drainase Bandar udara Kualanamu-Medan mampu untuk menampung limpasan air hujan dengan baik.&nbsp

Pesawat tersebut mendarat dan diarahkan ke remote area, dekat hanggar milik maskapai Batavia Air karena fasilitas parking stand pada bandar udara ini belum mampu menerima pesawat ini. Terkait dengan hal tesebut diatas, perlu dilakukan penelitian terhadap pengaruh divert landing pesawat A-380 terhadap beban ijin total pesawat (pta) dari nilai PCN (Pavement Classification Number) di Bandar udara Soekarno Hatta.Dari hasil analisis terlihat bahwa beban ijin total pesawat (Pta) yang dapat mendarat di runway Bandar udara Internasional Soekarno Hatta adalah 1.468.866 lbs atau 666.757 kg. Sementara itu, pesawat Super Jumbo A-380 yang telah melakukan divert landing di bandar udara ini menurut aircraft-info.net mempunyai spesifikasi teknis dengan gross weight beban kosong 275.000kg / 606.000lb)

    Karawang, located in Jakarta Capital Region area, has a good prospect in building a new airport. Beside the availability of land, Karawang regency is also a well-developed industrial area. In accordance, it is possible to build a multi-functional airport such as aerospace park in this area. Aerospace park is a compact industrial area provided as a centre for aircraft maintenace and has been owned by several neighbouring countries such as Malaysia and Singapore. One of the parts of environmental technic appropriateness is the soil condition in the new airport area. From several areas in Karawang regency, Cimalaya is good enough for building airport airside facility because it is located near shore. From the calculation, the new airport in Karawang will be able to provide landing for a Boeing 747-200 if it is planned to have the Pavement Classification Number of (PCN) 80 F/C/X/T. Thus, aircrafts that can perform landing in the airport must have the Maximum Take Off Weight (MTOW) of 394.744 kg. Karawang yang terdapat di area Jakarta Capital Reagon memiliki prospek yang cukup baik untuk pembangunan bandar udara baru. Selain ketersediaan lahan yang masih cukup luas, kabupaten Karawang juga merupakan area industri yang cukup maju. Oleh sebab itu, pada area ini sangat memungkinkan dibangun bandar udara yang multi fungsi seperti aerospace park yang merupakan kawasan industri terpadu sebagai pusat kegiatan perawatan pesawat terbang dan telah dimiliki oleh beberapa negara tetangga seperti Malaysia dan Singapura. Salah satu dari bagian dari kelayakan teknis lingkungan adalah kondisi tanah lokasi pembangunan bandar udara. Dari beberapa area di wilayah kabupaten Karawang, area Cimalaya cukup baik untuk pembangunan fasilitas airside bandar udara, karena berada di sekitar pantai. Dari hasil perhitungan, bila direncanakan bandar udara baru di Karawang dapat didarati pesawat dengan tipe Boeing 747 seri 200, maka dapat direncanakan landas pacu memiliki pavement classification number (PCN) 80 F/C/X/T. It can be realized if procedure, condition, number of baggage handling equipment in Hang Nadim Airport, Batam meet the standards although there are equipments that do not meet the standards.Baggage handling mempunyai peranan penting dalam usaha jasa penerbangan karena bagian ini yang menangani dan bertanggung jawab terhadap bagasi semua penumpang dalam suatu penerbangan. Untuk itu diharapkan agar semua bandara memiliki sistem baggage handling yang menerapkan efisiensi waktu dan selalu menjaga keamanan barang, tas yang dimiliki penumpang karena hal tersebut yang menjadi salah satu penilaian penumpang.
