Ketertindasan Masyarakat Melayu Riau dalam Bulan Kabut dan Sengketa Tanah Ulayat
The research aims to uncover condition of forest and community in Riau caused by annual forest fires disaster found in short stories of M. Badri’s “Bulan Kabut” and Sy. Bahri Judin’s “Sengketa Tanah Ulayat”. It is a descriptive qualitative research applying socio-literary approach. The data taken in the short stories and community were described and analyzed. Based on the analysis of the two short stories, it can be concluded that both of M. Badri’s and Sy.Bahri Judin’s short stories describe the real condition of forest and community in Riau. The community has lost the forest as well as communal reserved land and obtained negative impact of annual forest fires in Riau. Both short stories are intended to criticize government and plantation companies that are regarded to be responsible for forest fires and taking over communal reserved land from Riau community
Choragraphy Tubuh Nyai dalam Novel Mirah Dari Banda Karya Hanna Rambe: Kajian Politik Ruang Pascakolonial
This research examines how the representation of choragraphy of Nyai’s body in Hanna Rambe’s “Mirah dari Banda”. The theory used is the politics of Sara Upstone's postcolonial space that states that bodies and places are politically related to each other. The research uses a qualitative research method. The result of research reveals two findings. Firstly, there are choragraphy and ambiguity of self-meaning. There is no meaning or ideas on Nyai’s space and body. Secondly, there are choragraphy in space and body in between. The result of a cross between Nyai and his master is Indo-European children. Both conditions occur due to her Indo’s child in European-Dutch power
Perbandingan Legenda Ciung Wanara dengan Cindelaras serta Kajian Budaya Lokal
This research aims to compare the story of Ciung Wanara (West Java) and Cindelaras (East Java). In addition to comparing the two stories, this study also explores the cultural values contained in each story. The research applies a qualitative method with comparison technique and content analysis. A comparative study uses an analysis of one literature with another, or comparing literature with other field of art. The result of the research shows that, despite being similar, the cultural background causes the two stories to have differences. A folktale has a cultural tradition inherent to the habit undertaken by the society in which the story develops. In the Ciung Wanara story, there is a tradition of cockfights, naming babies based on natural events, and belief in mythology. While in the story of Cindelaras, besides having the same things, we also find the representation of culture, especially the image of the king’s mistress as instead of the queen
Repetisi dan Fungsinya dalam Novel Di Tanah Lada Karya Ziggy Zezsyazeoviennazabrizkie: Analisis Stilistika
This research aims to describe repetition and its function in Ziggy’s “Di Tanah Lada”. The research applies a qualitative descriptive approach with content analysis strategy to discuss linguistic phenomenon in novel, especially repetition as a figure of speech. The technique of collecting data is literary study and interview. Data validity is triangulation theory and source of data triangulation. The writer applies Keraf’s, Al-Maruf’s, and Nurgiyantoro’s language style theory. The research uses a purposive sampling. The result of the research indicates two findings. First, the repetition used by Ziggy in “Di Tanah Lada” novel includes anaphora, mesodiplosis, tautotes, and anadiplosis. Second, the repetition used by Ziggy describes the character’s feeling, clarifies the meaning, and gives a certain atmosphere and impressions
Sĕkar Cina Gambuh: Anomali Metrum Gambuh pada Teks Swara Sĕstra
The writing of sastra kapujanggan (poetry literature) is always used the meter as rule should be obeyed. However, the study of meter as the rules poetry is rarely found. If we are given the necessary attention, there are many meters that have not been identified or it lost along with the loss of literature. The main aim of this research is to reveal the Cina Gambuh meter in the text of Swara Sĕstra as an anomaly meter of Gambuh song pattern. This study is done by focusing on discipline of philology and codicology as the method. While, the method of codicology is done by comparing an alphabet pattern of the Swara Sestra with another text from Pakualaman's scriptorium in a similar script style to identify the text. The other aim of this study is to identify another variety meter and add the list meter of Gambuh. At the end of the study, the anomaly song pattern of Gambuh, in fact, is a creativity of the writer Jayengminarsa from Pakualaman

CERITA SI KABAYAN: TRANSFORMASI, PENCIPTAAN, MAKNA, DAN FUNGSI
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kayanya cerita si Kabayan yang transformasi. Cerita si Kabayan pada awalnya hanyalah sastra lisan/tradisi lisan. Akan tetapi, mengalami transformasi dalam tradisi tulis. Bahkan si Kabayan mengalami transformasi pula dalam kelisanan kedua. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh gambaran tentang struktur cerita si Kabayan dan transformasinya, penciptaan, makna, dan fungsinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Artinya, seluruh cerita dideskripsikan dari segi struktur dan transformasinya, proses penciptaan, makna, dan fungsinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur cerita si Kabayan umumnya sederhana, baik dari alur, tokoh, dan latar. Transformasi yang terjadi berupa ekspansi dan konversi. Penciptaannya didasari oleh skema. Maknanya umumnya ialah kearifan menghadapi hidup. Fungsi ialah umumnya berkaitan dengan pengesahan kebudayaan, alat pemaksa berlakunya terhadap norma-norma sosial, alat pengendali sosial, alat pendidikan, hiburan, dan protes ketidakadilan dalam masyarakat
TEMA SEKS DALAM LIMA NOVEL YANG DITULIS OLEH NOVELIS PEREMPUAN INDONSIA
Akhir-akhir ini dunia sastra Indonesia diwarnai oleh kemunculan novel-novel yang ditulis oleh novelis perempuan. Novel-novel para novelis perempuan yang muncul antara tahun 2002—2004 pada umumnya secara gambling menyampaikan berbagai hal tentang seks. Kehadiran Larung (Ayu Utami), Ode untuk Leopold von Sacher Massoch (Dinar Rahayu) Wajah Sebuah Vagina (Naning Pranoto), Garis Tepi Seorang Lesbian (Herlinatien), Tujuh Musim Setahun (Clara Ng), di samping mengundang decak kagum karena memperlihatkan terkembangnya layar estetika baru juga menuai kritik. Semua itu tak lain karena dampak dari karya sastra yang telah mengeksplorasi tema seks dengan narasi yang vulgar, binal, dan sarkastik..Dalam kelima novel tersebut penokohan perempuan dan tema seks begitu terasa mendominasi. Para perempuan dalam novel-novel tersebut semuanya dililit oleh permasalahan cinta dan seksual. Permasalahan tersebut di antaranya, perselingkuhan, penindasan, budaya patriarkat, dan feminisme. Bahkan, lebih dari itu seks menjadi sesuatu yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan perempuan yang disuarakan oleh perempuan pengarang. Meskipun beberapa novel menjadikan laki-laki sebagai tokoh sentral, tetapi secara umum cerita melibatkan begitu banyak tokoh perempuan. Dalam kelima novel tersebut kita juga melihat pergeseran cara pandang para tokoh prempuan terhadap eksistensi laki-laki. Para tokoh perempuan tersebut tidak lagi melihat laki-laki sebagai laki-laki, tetapi menjadi objek atau mangsa. Kata tersebut secara gambling disuarakan dalam kelima novel tersebut
TRANSFORMASI SANGKURIANG DALAM GODI SUWARNA (Transformation of Sangkuriang in Godi Suwarna’s)
Sangkuriang dikenal sebagai tokoh dalam legenda orang Sunda. Tokoh ini kemudian banyak ditransformasikan ke dalam berbagai karya sastra. Salah satu karya sastra yang mentransformasikan tokoh ini adalah fiksi mini karya Godi Suwarna. Enam karyanya dalam buku Lalakon Awon, Godi Suwarna mentransformasikan tokoh ini menjadi seorang tukang perahu. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan struktur teks, transformasi, dan pemaknaannya. Berdasarkan penelitian, diketahui bahwa struktur cerita Sangkuriang bentuknya sederhana, baik dari segi alur, tokoh, maupun latarnya. Selain itu, transformasi ditengarai terjadi berupa ekspansi dan konversi. Adapun makna yang didapatkan umumnya tentang kearifan memaknai hidup.Abstract: Sangkuriang is known as a main figure in the legend of the Sundanese people. The figure has been transformed into various literary works. One of the literary works transforming it is a short fiction by Godi Suwarna. In the six works in the book of “Lalakon”, he transformed the figure into a boatman. This study aims to describe the structure of the text, the transformation, and the meaning. The result of the research finds that the structure of the Sangkuriang story is simple in terms of plot, character, and its background. In addition, the transformations occur in the form of expansion and conversion. Moreover, the meaning of the stories is mostly about life wisdom
