A Study on the Relationship Between Preschool Education and Society -Focusing on Tanaka Fujimaro's Perspective on Education During the 'Kyoikurei' Period-
This study aims to elucidate the relationship between the schooling system and society in the early Meiji period. Generally, changing a system is challenging, particularly in the field of education, as it requires a certain level of continuity and stability to be effective. Even the most ideal system may fail to take root or become purely nominal if its recipients lack the understanding or the foundational conditions necessary for its implementation. This study focuses on the relationship between preschool education and society, which forms the basis for the expansion of elementary education.departmental bulletin pape
departmental bulletin pape
A study on the possibility of improving productivity by improving the efficiency of athletic club activity guidance-Improving the coaching efficiency of athletic club activities at the national tournament level and examining the productivity of Araki method co-ordination training-
Currently, club activities in Japanese schools are facing a variety of problems, one that is attracting particular attention is the issue of local leaders providing instruction. We believe that the essence of this problem is not to reduce teachers' workloads, but to view it as a problem of sports culture in Japan. Furthermore, we looked at the productivity of instruction methods.
In addition, discipline and spirituality are emphasized in sports in Japan, which is natural from an educational perspective. When club activity instruction is entrusted to local sports instructors, this point is also a very important factor. Therefore, in this study, we grasped the actual situation of the competitive level and activity time of sports clubs, and considered the state of sports instruction in club activities, taking into account differences in sports and age. In particular, the first objective was to consider how to improve productivity, such as making practice menus more efficient and shortening activity times. Secondly, based on previous research, we examined the utilization and productivity of co-ordination training based on Araki's theory.
This study used case studies from various schools and teams to suggest that co-ordination training based on Araki's theory could potentially lead to solutions to various problems currently occurring in sports club activities.departmental bulletin pape
Knowledge and Skills Required for Special Needs Education Regarding the Psychology, Physiology, and Pathology of Children with Physical Disabilities -Focus on Educational Needs and Reasonable Accommodations-
This paper explores the psychological, physiological, and pathological aspects of children with physical disabilities, focusing on their educational needs and reasonable accommodations. These children face not only motor impairments but also psychological and cognitive challenges, such as low self-concept and social isolation during school years. Addressing these requires appropriate support and collaboration with medical professionals. Key strategies include using ICT, barrier-free environments, and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Enhancing "activities for daily living" fosters self-understanding and promotes social participation, expanding future opportunities. Strengthening teacher expertise through training and improved licensing systems is also essential. This study highlights pathways to help children with physical disabilities reach their full potential and thrive in an inclusive society.departmental bulletin pape
The Imaginative First-person: "Yo" and "Sakusha" in "Yokyo-shu"
Yokyo-shu by Natsume Soseki consists of seven short stories: "London-tou", "Carlyle Hakubutsukan", "Maboroshi no Tate", "Koto no Sora-ne", "Ichi-ya", "Kairo-kou", and "Shumi no Iden".
This paper examines the narrative techniques of each short story to elucidate that "Yokyo-shu" is a text that grapples with both the limitations and possibilities of first-person narration. Building on this, it demonstrates that "Yokyo-shu" symbolizes the shift in early Soseki's literature from the first-person to the third-person perspective.departmental bulletin pape
The Effects of Early Intervention on Children with Down Syndrome -A Case Study of Parenting by a Special Education Professional Mother-
Down syndrome is a congenital condition caused by chromosomal abnormalities, often leading to developmental delays and intellectual disabilities. Early intervention is crucial in mitigating these delays and enhancing social and cognitive abilities. This study examines the case of a mother who is a special education professional and the effects of her expertise on the development of her child with Down syndrome. Through qualitative analysis of interviews, this research highlights the impact of specialized knowledge on early intervention practices, such as sensory integration and step-by-step developmental support. The findings reveal how professional expertise can improve a child's quality of life and developmental outcomes while addressing challenges in educational settings and community support systems. This study offers valuable insights for educators, parents, and policymakers aiming to optimize early intervention programs and inclusive education.departmental bulletin pape
Research on the social integration of primary and compulsory education -Focusing on the records of educational Affairs Supervisor in the early Meiji period-
The purpose of this research is to understand the factors and processes of school education reform in the early Meiji period. In general, it is difficult to change a system. This is especially true when it comes to education. This is because education requires a certain continuity and stability in order to be effective. Why is school education being reformed in spite of this? As we all know, educational establishments are put into place by a social request; thus, an educational establishment is “part of the social system” since the social consensus sets it up. However, educational reform is also conducted by a social request. This research draws focus to this point. In this article, we will focus on the records of school inspectors who inspected various regions in the early Meiji period from the standpoint of promoting school education.departmental bulletin pape
A Study on the Present Situation and Teaching Methods of Craft Subjects in Elementary School Arts and Crafts -Focus on subjects that make use of the “mechanism”-
In this study, we conducted a survey on how craft education is handled at the early childhood education and elementary school levels. The survey used textbooks used in childcare teacher training programs, textbooks used in elementary schools, and instructional plans available on a website. The results showed that in the lower grades of elementary school, many of the activities involved making usable objects and making use of mechanisms. These activities decreased as the students moved up through the grades. Instead, crafts that convey information and decoration were found to increase. The general teaching method in craft education is to first understand the mechanism and then expand the image, but we proposed that depending on the purpose of the class, the flow of thinking about the mechanism in accordance with the image may be more suitable.departmental bulletin pape
