Genealogie di scrittrici in alcuni testi filogini Quattro-Cinquecenteschi della Querelle des Femmes
No full textThe work De mulieribus claris composed by Giovanni Boccaccio in 1361 represents a decisive moment in the Querelle des Femmes debate. Following the publication of Cristina da Pizzano's La città delle dame, many authors in the 15th and 16th centuries would use this text as a reference and starting point for the elaboration of catalogues and treatises dedicated to famous women. The aim of this article is to analyse the presence of women writers in some texts composed by authors and to observe how they contribute to the visibility of women of the past but also contemporary women, with a special focus on women writers. Retrieving and rereading the texts of these authors becomes fundamental for the reconstruction of a female genealogy and the redefinition of a non-androcentric literary canon.L'opera De mulieribus claris composta da Giovanni Boccaccio nel 1361 rappresenta un momento decisivo nell'ambito del dibattito della Querelle des Femmes. Successivamente alla pubblicazione de La città delle dame di Cristina da Pizzano, saranno molti gli autori che tra Quattrocento e Cinquecento utilizzeranno questo testo come riferimento e punto di partenza per l'elaborazione di cataloghi e trattati dedicati a donne celebri. Il presente articolo si propone di analizzare la presenza di scrittrici in alcuni testi composti da autori ed osservare come contribuiscano a visibilizzare donne del passato ma anche contemporanee, con un'attenzione speciale per le scrittrici. Recuperare e rileggere i testi di questi autori diventa fondamentale per la ricostruzione di una genealogia femminile e la ridefinizione di un canone letterario non androcentrico
Enjeux du silence dans Chanson douce de Leïla Slimani et Syngué sabour d'Atiq Rahimi
No full textSilence is one of the most recurring themes in literature. Taking on various forms and meanings, it asserts itself as a key element of literary discourse due to its ability to reveal complex realities that transcend language. Authors such as Albert Camus, Annie Ernaux, and Patrick Modiano have made unspoken words a powerful means of conveying human experiences that cannot be expressed through simple words. The works of Leïla Slimani and Atiq Rahimi belong to a literary tradition that grants silence a distinctive place. In both authors' writings, silence is often associated with concealed suffering and plays a fundamental role in exploring psychological and social tensions. Therefore, in this contribution, we will examine the various issues related to the writing of silence in Slimani and Rahimi's novels Chanson douce and Syngué Sabour.Le silence est l'une des thématiques les plus récurrentes de la littérature. Revêtant diverses formes et significations, il s'impose comme un élément clé du discours littéraire étant donné sa disposition à dévoiler des réalités complexes qui transcendent le langage. Des écrivains comme Albert Camus, Annie Ernaux ou Patrick Modiano ont fait des non-dits un moyen puissant pour traduire des expériences humaines qui ne peuvent pas être exprimées par de simples mots. Les oeuvres de Leïla Slimani et Atiq Rahimi s'inscrivent dans cette tradition littéraire qui accorde au silence une place particulière. Chez les deux auteurs, le silence est souvent lié à une souffrance dissimulée et joue un rôle fondamental dans l'exploration des tensions psychologiques et sociales. Nous oeuvrerons donc dans la présente contribution à examiner les différents enjeux relatifs à l'écriture du silence chez Slimani et Rahimi à travers leurs romans Chanson douce et Syngué Sabour
The Festival des politischen Liedes and the Soviet Bloc : Hungarian folk in East Berlin 1970-1980
No full textThe Festival des politischen Liedes (Festival of Political Songs), held between 1970 and 1990 in East Berlin, was the largest international folk festival in communist Eastern Europe. Over the past three decades, an increasing number of studies have thoroughly explored the event's history, especially its institutional background. However, much less attention has been paid to the Eastern European guests, for whom performing here offered a rare opportunity for transnational mobility. This article, drawing on extensive archival research as well as interviews with organizers and musicians, investigates the festival from a Hungarian perspective. It examines how Hungarian guests came to be invited, what kind of music they performed, and how they adapted to the festival's dominant musical and ideological currents. Finally, the article briefly explores what kinds of foreign influences these artists encountered and how the Berlin event contributed to their future careers
On using experiments on remember as evidence in formal semantics
No full textThe German memory predicates noch wissen ('still know') and sich erinnern ('refl remember') are each used to report two kinds of remembering that are commonly considered clearly distinct in philosophy and cognitive science: experiential remembering of personally experienced events and fact-only remembering of propositions. This methodological paper brings together my existing semantic and experimental work on memory reports involving these predicates. It discusses the questions (i) to which extent experiments on memory predicates can be decisive between formal semantic accounts and (ii) which methodological challenges arise from the multi-disciplinary nature of debates on different kinds of remembering. I argue that to do justice to the usage of memory predicates, individual judgements about other people's cognition must be given a place in the composition. However, any semantic account fulfilling this requirement becomes harder to falsify and the decision between many possible formal accounts is reduced to a modelling choice
The influence of the Council of Trent on Czech printed production in the second half of the 16th century and the beginning of recatholization
No full textThe study focuses on a hitherto understudied topic in the Czech printed production of the second half of the 16th century, namely the initiative of the Catholic intelligentsia after the Council of Trent. By probing into five categories of the very heterogeneous Catholic production, the study attempts to capture the main tendencies of its development. Categories which are taken into account are thus (1) the basic catechetical manuals, (2) popular patristic and pre-Hussite works, (3) works of the time translations of Catholic works, (4) polemics on brethren unity, and (5) original works. The issue is also viewed through the prism of three different generations of authors producing from the 1640s to the end of the 16th. While the first generation is characterized by a certain religious tolerance and an awareness of multilateralism, the middle generation is rather bland and concentrates on translations of the Catholic production of the time, while the last generation, which includes the first offsprings of the Jesuit order, is more reserved and concentrates on anti-brethren polemics

Literature for children and young people with environmental themes : social and literary-historical starting points of creation, contemporary literary production
No full textThe study reacts to the abundance of titles with environmental themes on the Czech book market, both the translated titles and works by Czech authors. The aim of the study is to comprehensive¬ly identify the impulses that prompted the entry and promotion of environmental themes into contemporary book production. The authors believe that, in addition to external impulses, the long-term experience with negative effects of the extensive economy and industrialization, passed down through generations, played and still plays a role in this process. These facts – processed as a reminder of the historical and economic changes of Czech society, especially the beginnings of the development of industry in our country – are reflected in the introductory passages of the study. They are followed by a reference to the traditions of natural prose in literary works for both adult and child readers. From contemporary literary works for children and young people, in which titles with environ¬mental issues are abundantly represented, the authors present a selected segment of works. For individual titles, they define the age spectrum of potential child readers, monitor which genres the environmental theme is most intensively connected to, and what possible changes occur in the given genres. They pay particular attention to narrative prose and non-fiction literature. Among the most prominent trends, especially in non-fiction of this focus, they include a change in the ratio of the textual and visual components of books, innovations in the connection of words and images, and in the graphic design of titles. The study introduces specific titles of male and female authors, in whose work the reflection of environmental issues is combined with the required ar¬tistic quality
