EXCEL through IoT (Exploring Cognitive and Emotional Learning through IOT)

    Get PDF
Cognitive Learning is a process that involves learner’s knowledge into consideration. It involves the use of human brain. These days understanding students’s emotional state of mind is one of the research area where student face problems in tackling academic tasks. It has been observed that emotions are a crucial part of students' psychosomatic life, and that they may strongly influence academic motivation, cognitive strategies of learning and achieving the desired results. So, our research is to augment student learning and teacher instruction by giving the real-time reaction of students' state of mind, so that teacher can engage students in the learning processes, help them to learn or use the brain in much and far better way to relate thing with the previous one while learning something new.

Predictive Switching Control for Multilevel Inverter using CNN-LSTM for Voltage Regulation

    Get PDF
Now-a-days, model predictive control (MPC) is very commonly used for three phase inverters. But conventional MPC suffers computational complexities as well as unstable switching frequency issues. To address these issues related with conventional MPC model, this paper aims to use the benefits of deep learning model for predictive switching control. In this paper, CNN-LSTM network based predictive control is proposed for three phase inverters. Along with predictive control LC filter is cascaded to reduce the harmonics. The model is simulated using SIMULINK under fixed and dynamic load condition. The result shows decreased THD under different load conditions. Finally, the result is validated with existing models and achieves better performance

This paper focues on Performance evaluation of conventional inverters driven PMSM drive using microcontroller. The purpose of this paper is to decrease the ripples in torque of Micro controllers based PMSM drive. The innovative method consists of conventional inverters, switched-mode power supply (SMPS), PMSM motor and Microcontroller. It is used to maximize fundamental component of torque also. The both the results of the suggested Micro controller are compared on the basis of torque and speed and improves that reduces the torque ripple and improve the dynamic response of the system in comparative analysis. This paper organizes introduction, mathematical model of the PMSM, proposed Microcontroller technique, hardware and simulation results and conclusion in different sections

FE Analysis of High Pressure Laminate Panel for High Rise Building

    Get PDF
:In present study, numerical analysis carried out on Aluminium, Duralcan and their composite (HPL-High pressure laminate) Panels, implemented through a finite element model (FEM) as a unique quasi-static solution for adequacy of HPL as cladding for high rise buildings. The HPL panel is multi-stiffened material made by bonding stiff between high strength skins facing to low-density material. In current study, different sizes and different materials stiffened panels analyzed under lateral and wind response at high-rise building. The details study on materials (Aluminium, Duralcan and HPL) provide losses during the shear strength due to buckling. The model is implemented and calibrated with a numerical model developed in previous studies. High Pressure Laminates provides resistance to environmental effects, more durable and cheaper for decor surface. An achievement in overall performance under cyclic loading and high wind pressure of HPL is observed as an infill panel, later on also utilized as cladding. Furthermore, thermal insulation study should be carried out to check full occupancy of HPL for in situ practices

    Get PDF
The goal of this work is to make a brief review on Fuzzy Logic along with its usefulness in several areas such as pattern recognition, control systems, knowledge-based systems, and medical diagnosis. Fuzzy Logic provides support in addressing imprecision, uncertainty, and vagueness etc, to make formalization of human reasoning. Because of its nature, it is widely accepted as a method of imitating the way of decision making in human thinking and natural language

Experimental and Numerical Analysis of Vertical Axis Wind Turbine

    Get PDF
The Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) is effective energy harnessing device in comparison with Horizontal Axis Wind Turbines (HAWT). The focus of the present study is to obtain a rotor blade shape which gives a high power at minimum wind velocity, minimum starting torque, and minimum cut in wind speed. Simulation of the model uses the different wind speeds to determine performance of the wind turbine. A 1200 mm high and 1000 mm swing diameter turbine includes eight blades. An experimental study is carried out for two different blade shapes viz.  U shaped blade and the Fan type blade. Experimental results are presented for different air flow velocities in terms of Revolutions per minute (RPM) of rotor, force exerted, and torque required to attain a specific rotor speed. The experimental results reveal that fan type blade gives better performance than U type blade. Power characteristics are also studied for the Fan type blade rotor. The numerical study confirms the experimental results for fan type blade rotor. FAN type blades are analyzed for the different bend angles from 130° to 140°.

Chloride Permeability and Abrasion Resistance of Self-Compacting Concrete Incorporating Iron slag

    Get PDF
The dumping of industrialized by-products is a primary burden because of ironclad environmental rules. Adoption of industrial by-products as an alternative fine aggregate in the concrete is the only quick fix. This study shows the exchange of iron slag with fine aggregate (sand) in self-compacting concrete (SCC).  Percentages of iron slag 0, 15, 30 and 45 were incorporated. Rice husk ash (15%) was used to prepare control mix in addition with cement. Experimental tests were conducted to check the fresh properties, strength and durability properties of SCC with iron slag. Tests were conducted for slump flow, V-funnel, U-box, L-box, compressive strength, rapid chloride permeability and abrasion resistance. The test finding (up to 90 days) of compressive strength and chloride ion permeability indicate that iron slag can be suitable used in making SCC. SCC mixes containing up to 45% iron slag gave lower permeability values than control SCC mix. The results of compressive strength of SCC are significantly better than control SCC.Keywords: Compressive strength, Chloride permeability, Abrasion, Iron Slag
