Assessing the impact of country risk on Non-Bank Financial Intermediation and Traditional Banking credit in African countries: A comparative analysis

No full text
This study examines the impact of country risk on Non-Bank Financial Intermediaries (NBFIs) in Sub-Saharan Africa and their role in credit intermediation between 2000 and 2022. NBFIs, crucial to emerging economies, provide credit to individuals and businesses, especially where formal institutions fall short. Using a fixed effects model with corrected standard errors on panel data from 30 Sub-Saharan African countries, the study compares the effects of country risk on NBFIs and traditional banks. Findings show that while country risk negatively affects NBFI lending, the impact is insignificant, contrasting with its significant negative effect on traditional bank credit. Financial development has a divergent effect, boosting traditional banks credit but hindering NBFIs. Furthermore, regulatory quality positively influences credit growth in both sectors, while the banking sector enhances NBFI activities and vice versa. These findings offer valuable insights for policymakers and regulators, highlighting NBFIs' vital role in sustaining credit flow amid rising country risk in Africa's evolving financial landscape

ABSTRACT Adolescent pregnancy under the age of 20 is a problem of adolescent reproductive health which is of concern to various groups. The prevalence rate of adolescents who have had sexual intercourse in Poso Regency is 86.1% and some of them experience unwanted pregnancies. The purpose of this activity is to educate adolescents about the importance of preparing for the pre-conception period in an effort to improve the quality of future generations. The type of research used is quantitative with pre-experimental methods. The planning used is one group pre-test and post-test design. The total population in the study was 154 respondents. The number of samples is 34 respondents. The sampling technique uses Simple Random Sampling. The research instrument used a questionnaire and snakes and ladders media. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test with a significant α<0.05. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed that the p value was 0.000 which was less than the significant value (p<0.05) indicating that reproductive health education using the snakes and ladders method increased knowledge about preconceptional preparation. Education with the snake and ladder method is very effective and must be implemented to students in increasing the preparation for the preconception period

The immunization program is a form of basic health efforts in an effort to accelerate breaking the chain of transmission of PD3I (Immunization-Preventable Diseases). Factors related to the completeness of immunization are very important to understand as one of the efforts to increase the coverage rate of basic immunization completeness. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge about basic immunization and the completeness of basic immunization in the Tenga Community Health Center Work Area. The study used a cross-sectional approach. Samples were taken by purposive sampling totaling 70 respondents. Data analysis using chi square in the SPSS V.25 computer program. The analysis results showed no relationship between knowledge and the completeness of basic immunization (p = 0.001). Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the completeness of basic immunization is not influenced by maternal knowledge about basic immunization

This research aims to determine the factors that influence tuberculosis infection in children with close contact with adult pulmonary tuberculosis sufferers. This research is an analytical observational study with a consecutive sampling method at the Glugur Darat Health Center in November 2024 until January 2025. Bivariate analysis using chi-square to determine whether there is a relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The type of test used is the Fisher Exact and Kruskal Wallis Test. There is no multivariate test because there are no significant variables in the bivariate test. In total, in 42 samples there were 10 children with positive Mantoux tests. Of the 23 female children there were 7 (30.4%) with positive results and of the 19 male children there were 3 (15.8%) positive results. Of the 39 children with a history of BCG immunization, there were 10 (25.6%) with tuberculosis infection. Of the 37 children with parents whose income was <UMR, 10 children (27%) had tuberculosis infection. 37 children whose parents had junior high school education, 9 people (24.3%) had tuberculosis infection. 10 children aged 1-5 years and 6-10 years, there were 2 (20%) each with tuberculosis infection. 26 children aged 11-18 years, there were 6 people (27.3%) with tuberculosis infection. There was no significant relationship between age, gender, immunization status, nutritional status, parental income and parental education level in this research

No full text
Diabetes is a metabolically complex disorder characterized by chronic hyperglycemia caused by abnormalities in insulin production and function. Diabetes is classified into type 1 and type 2. Type 1 diabetes is triggered by an autoimmune process that damages pancreatic beta cells, whereas type 2 diabetes is characterized by insulin resistance. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between diabetes mellitus education and stress levels among patients with diabetes mellitus at UPT Puskesmas Sei Agul. This research employed a correlational design with a descriptive approach, using a cross-sectional method to examine the relationship between two variables: the independent variable and the dependent variable. The sampling technique used was total sampling, involving 50 respondents. The results showed a significant relationship between the provision of education and stress levels among respondents. Specifically, 10.0% of respondents with poor education experienced severe stress, while in the good education category, 78.0% experienced mild stress and 12.0% experienced moderate stress, with no cases of severe stress. Statistical analysis revealed a p-value of 0.001, indicating that the level of education significantly influences respondents’ stress levels. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between education and stress levels, suggesting that effective counseling and education play an important role in reducing stress among patients

Designing a Web-Based and Mobile Attendance Information System to Improve Operational Efficiency at CV Bengkel Teknologi Indonesia

No full text
The conventional attendance system at CV Bengkel Teknologi Indonesia leads to administrative inefficiencies and is vulnerable to fraud. To address these challenges, this study develops an integrated web and mobile-based attendance information system. The system incorporates photo validation and geofencing capabilities, implementing the haversine method to ensure data validity. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology to accelerate the system development process through short iterative cycles. The results demonstrate significant efficiency improvements, particularly in the data recapitulation process, which was reduced from 3-5 hours to 1-5 seconds. Additionally, employee attendance validation now requires only two steps per data entry. The system delivers a centralized solution, connecting employee mobile applications with administrative web dashboards via API integration to enhance operational efficiency
