Expert System for Detecting Ear Diseases Using Case Based Reasoning (CBR) Method

    No full text
The presence of innovation in the health sector generally experiences rapid changes and updates in various parts of human life. Data innovation is used to handle information in various ways to produce quality data, which is used for welfare purposes and is key data for direction. Earache is a disease of the inner or middle ear which generally causes different side effects on the ear. This ear infection generally attacks adults, adolescents, and children, causing high clinical costs. Therefore, we really need a tool or framework that can look like an expert in diagnosing a disease. The master framework is not used to replace expert capacity but is only used as an inseparable framework. An expert system is a structure that can imitate the thinking of a PC master and can handle problems that specialists generally solve. The procedure used in this master framework is the CaseBased Reasoning (CBR) strategy because this technique provides a comparability value for a case by remembering similar events that have occurred when using the data or information to overcome new or eventual problems. This issue can be resolved by applying the newly used settings. The best number of similarities between the third case shows that this new case practically has the same or equivalent side effects as the case with a higher score, especially the third old case, with a specific of 0.56, where the precision value of the similarity data for the current state is 4 %. This causes the data to be close between old cases and new cases

This study aims to see the antiaging activity of snake fruit skin extract (Salacca Zalacca) through the difference in collagen density between treatment groups 1, 2 and 3 with a concentration of snake fruit skin cream extract (Salacca Zalacca) of 10%, 20% and 30% and compare it with the control group without extract. This study is a True experimental study, with the selection of the type of research design used is Post Test Only Control Group Design, the methods used include phytochemical tests, antioxidant activity tests with the DPPH method, and observations of collagen density in the skin of mice exposed to UVB light. This study used test animals in the form of male white rats (Rattus norvegicus) Wistar strain weighing 150-250 gr. The test animals were divided into 4 groups. The results showed that snake fruit skin extract has strong antioxidant activity and can increase collagen density, so it has the potential as an active ingredient in antiaging cosmetic products

Hair loss is a widespread concern and affects skin quality. Hair loss can occur due to many factors. Based on previous research, clove plants can overcome hair loss problems. This is because cloves can be used as extracts and contain secondary metabolites in the form of flavonoids, saponins, tannins, and steroids. This study is a true experimental study, using a post-test only control group design. The sample in this study was 24 animals. The results of the study concluded that administration of clove extract cream (Syzygium aromaticum) affected hair growth. Based on the difference in average hair length in the groups after testing. The conclusion of the research results stated that the greatest hair growth was in test group 3 which was given clove extract with a concentration of 12%. The group with the least hair growth was in the control group which was only given base cream. Administration of clove extract cream (Syzygium aromaticum) in the group after testing with concentrations of 3%, 9%, and 12% extra affected the healing process of dermapen wounds in white rats (Rattus norvegicus) Wistar strain. Based on phytochemical tests, it was shown that clove extract (Syzygium aromaticum) contains secondary metabolites in the form of flavonoids, saponins, tannins, and steroids. These compounds, especially flavonoids, help heal dermapen wounds and stimulate hair growth

The Effect Of Giving Cloves Extract (Syzygium Aromaticum) On Kidney Function And Kidney Histopathology Of Male Wistar White Rats Infected With Staphylococcus Aureus Bacteria

This research aims to test and analyze the effectiveness of administering clove extract (Syzygium aromaticum) on the kidney function of male white rats (Rattus norvegicus) of the Wistar strain infected with Staphylococcus aureus and how the histopathological picture is. The research sample, namely 24 male rats (Rattus norvegicus) of the Wistar strain were divided into 4 groups and received different treatments. The treatment group was given an infection with a suspension of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and clove extract (Syzygium aromaticum) with different doses of 150 mg/KgBW, 350 mg/KgBW, and 450 mg/KgBW. The results of the observation showed that clove extract contains secondary metabolites in the form of saponins, tannins, flavonoids, and steroids that help repair damaged kidney cells and decrease kidney function due to Staphylococcus aureus bacterial infection. The active compound that plays the most role in improving kidney function is flavonoids. Administration of clove extract at a dose of 450 mg/KgBW is effective in improving kidney function in white rats (Rattus norvegicus) of the Wistar strain infected with Staphylococcus aureus. This improvement can be seen through the levels of urea, creatinine, and the histological structure of the kidneys that have improved. The results of histopathological observations of kidney tissue in treatment group 3, namely clove extract with a dose of 450 mg/KgBW, experienced the most significant improvement and approached the control group compared to the other groups

The Role Of The Specular Microscopy In Endothelial Cell Changes Before And After Phacoemulsification

    No full text
Cataracts remain one of the leading treatable causes of blindness around the world. Phacoemulsification is the most frequently used technique for cataract extraction. The ultrasound (U/S) power needed for traditional or longitudinal phacoemulsification poses ongoing risks for endothelial cell loss and tissue damage. The examination of endothelial cells before phacoemulsification surgery is very important in determining the prognostic factors for visual acuity after cataract surgery. Specular microscopy is a non-invasive tool that is essential in ophthalmology, facilitating the evaluation of the corneal endothelium, a crucial aspect in eye health assessment and surgical planning. It provides detailed images that showcase the size, shape, density, and overall condition of the endothelial cells

Patient satisfaction is an important indicator of the quality of health services, it is crucial to ensure the sustainability of medical services at the health center. The author aims to analyze the factors that influence outpatient satisfaction at the Puskesmas Olak Kemang Jambi City during 2024. This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The average outpatient population per month was 503 people, and a sample of 295 people was selected using the Lemeshow formula with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis included univariate analysis, bivariate analysis with chi-square test, and multivariate analysis with multiple logistic regression. The results showed that physical evidence/manifestation, reliability, responsiveness, and assurance significantly influenced outpatient satisfaction at the puskesmas, while the empathy dimension did not. This study underscores the impact of physical evidence, reliability, responsiveness, and assurance on outpatient satisfaction. The reliability variable, in particular, played a dominant role, with patients who positively rated the reliability of medical personnel 5.4 times more likely to be satisfied than those who did not. It is recommended that Olak Kemang Polyclinic in Jambi City conduct a comprehensive assessment, improve service reliability and responsiveness, and strengthen service assurance to increase patient satisfaction

This research was carried out with a cross-sectional design using a quantitative descriptive approach. The sample size used for the STBM program facilitator population was the total population, namely 4 people. The population of residents taken using probability sampling, namely multistage random sampling, was 124 families. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and searching for secondary data from the health service, subdistrict, and community health center. The STBM program in the Muara Hemat Community Health Center Working Area, Batang Merangin District, Kerinci Regency is included in the "less successful" category. The value of the recapitulation of interview questionnaire data and observations of residents' latrine rooms is 22.5. Meanwhile, based on the STBM program facilitator interview questionnaire, it is with a score of 21. Variables that need to be improved include input, process, output, and outcome variables. Suggestions that can be given to the government are to provide support in developing appropriate technology for the STBM program. Suggestions to the facilitators are to increase knowledge, assist residents, and make efforts to support each other. Advice to residents is to get used to defecating only in healthy latrines, washing hands with soap, and increasing hygiene efforts in latrine
