Amidst intense competition, companies must maintain innovation and service excellence to the public. Employee job satisfaction plays a crucial role in enhancing innovation and company performance. This study aims to analyze the role of leader openness and tolerance of ambiguity as mediators in the relationship between leader intellectual humility and employee job satisfaction. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through surveys of employees and leaders at PT Jaya Prima Express, a logistics company in Medan City. The research variables include intellectual humility as an independent variable, openness and tolerance of ambiguity as mediator variables, and job satisfaction as a dependent variable. Results from the GLM Mediation Analysis indicate that leader intellectual humility does not have a significant positive effect on employee job satisfaction. However, leader openness and tolerance of ambiguity were found to mediate the relationship, suggesting that these leadership traits foster a more inclusive and adaptive work environment. These findings provide theoretical contributions to leadership literature and practical benefits for organizations seeking to improve employee job satisfaction through leadership styles that support innovation and adaptability to change

PT Pos Indonesia as a state-owned enterprise in the field of postal and financial services faces challenges in the form of a decrease in mail volume. No full text
The main question in this research is how the shop signs owned by Chinese and Indigenous Indonesian communities in Ruteng represent ethnic identity and cultural values, reflect multicultural dynamics, and illustrate the process of acculturation within the public space. The objective of this research is to describe the forms of language representation used in the shop signs owned by Chinese and Indigenous Indonesian communities in Ruteng; to identify the cultural values reflected in the language choices and visual appearances of the shop signs; and to analyze how multicultural dynamics and cultural acculturation processes are manifested in the linguistic landscape of Ruteng City. This research used a qualitative approach, utilizing methods of observation, photography, interviews, content analysis, and literature study. The data were analyzed using content and thematic analysis techniques. The research results show that Indigenous Indonesian store owners tend to choose names and colors based on personal preferences and the concept of modernity. In contrast, Chinese store owners preserve cultural values by selecting names that carry meanings of luck, harmony, and feng shui principles. Chinese ethnic stores tend to have symbolic functions, whereas Indigenous Indonesian stores tend to be informative. The language used in Chinese ethnic stores is monolingual, while Indigenous Indonesian stores use both monolingual and bilingual languages. The multicultural dynamics, viewed through the lens of the linguistic landscape in Ruteng, show an acculturation process characterized by harmonious social integration, where cultural identity is preserved without constraining social interaction. Ruteng City emerges as an example of inclusive and dynamic multiculturalism

Analysis Of Determining Legal Status And Distribution Of Inheritance In Polygamous Marriages (Study Decision No. 1491/Pdt.G/2022/Pa Stb)

    No full text
Stabat Religious Court Case Number 1491/Pdt.G/2022/PA.Stb describes an inheritance conflict involving a husband with two wives (previously divorced from his first wife) and six children. This case demonstrates how the unclear status of joint property, unilateral claims by one party, and the refusal to distribute inheritance according to Islamic law can trigger legal disputes. A crucial point, which gave rise to legal irregularities, was that the trial facts did not find evidence of permission from the religious court for the second marriage performed by the plaintiffs' father in 1982. This is despite the fact that Law No. 1 of 1974 was already in effect at the time, which expressly requires court permission for a second marriage. Strangely, despite the lack of permission from the religious court, the second marriage was still administratively registered by the Tebing Tinggi Religious Affairs Office and resulted in a marriage certificate. This study used a normative juridical method with additional data collection techniques through informant interviews. The results showed an error in considering the legality of a second marriage that lacked court permission. The court declared the second wife as the heir, even though the marriage did not legally meet the requirements for polygamy under the Marriage Law and the Compilation of Islamic Law. This violates the principles of legal certainty, justice, and legal protection for the other parties (the first wife and her children), who have a stronger legal position. This decision demonstrates the need for consistency in the application of legal norms so that legal principles, particularly justice and certainty, can be fully upheld
