Productivity is a critical measure of individual performance, particularly in the healthcare sector, where human resources play a pivotal role in achieving organisational and national development goals. This study examines the factors influencing work productivity among employees at the Aceh Provincial Health Office, focusing on education, motivation, discipline, work ethic, and work attitude. Using a descriptive quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, data were collected from 100 employees through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Univariate and bivariate analyses, including chi-square tests, were employed to assess the relationships between variables. The results indicate that 68% of employees demonstrated good work productivity. Motivation, discipline, work ethic, and work attitude showed statistically significant positive correlations with productivity (p = 0.000). Specifically, 95.2% of highly motivated employees exhibited good productivity, compared to only 25.2% of those with poor motivation. Similarly, 98.8% of disciplined employees and 81.5% of those with a strong work ethic demonstrated good productivity. A positive work attitude also correlated strongly with productivity (78.0% vs. 61.0% for negative attitudes). However, education level did not significantly influence productivity (p = 0.391), with 80% of highly educated and 66.7% of less educated employees showing good productivity. These findings highlight the importance of fostering motivation, discipline, work ethic, and positive work attitudes to enhance productivity in healthcare settings. While education level was not a significant factor, addressing the other variables can create a conducive work environment and improve service quality. This study underscores the need for organisations to prioritise these factors through incentives, recognition, and professional development opportunities to achieve optimal productivity and organisational success

Background: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is a significant health issue in Indonesia, where management relies heavily on patient dietary adherence. However, adherence levels are often suboptimal. This study aimed to identify the factors associated with dietary adherence among T2DM patients at a major hospital in Medan, Indonesia. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in December 2024 at Royal Prima General Hospital, involving 64 T2DM patients selected through total sampling. Data on demographic characteristics, knowledge, family support, and healthcare provider (HCP) support were collected via structured questionnaires. Dietary adherence was the dependent variable. Data were analyzed using chi-square tests and multivariate logistic regression. Results: A slight majority of patients (53.1%) were adherent to their diet. Multivariate analysis identified age as the most dominant predictor, with patients aged ≥45 years being 18.9 times more likely to be adherent than younger patients (AOR = 18.935, p=0.004). Male gender was also a significant predictor of higher adherence (AOR = 7.652, p=0.01). Paradoxically, good knowledge (AOR = 0.161) and HCP support (AOR = 0.109) were significantly associated with lower odds of adherence. Education and employment status showed no significant association. Conclusion: Age is the most critical factor influencing dietary adherence among T2DM patients in this cohort, with older individuals demonstrating significantly better compliance. Interventions should specifically target younger patients and women, who are at higher risk for non-adherence

Electric vehicles are an environmentally friendly alternative compared to conventional motor vehicles. Electric vehicles do not produce exhaust emissions, which can help reduce air pollution in major cities. Additionally, electric vehicles are more energy-efficient compared to conventional motor vehicles. However, a large-scale transformation in the automotive sector towards electric vehicles in developing countries will be challenging as it requires stronger knowledge, awareness, and attitudinal changes towards electric-powered transportation. This study utilizes the Multi-Objective Optimization by Ratio Analysis (MOORA) and Technique for Order Performance of Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) methods to assist in complex decision-making. The criteria used in this study include price, range, charging time, battery capacity, and additional features. The study results show that using the MOORA method, the Audi e-tron GT ranks first with a preference weight of 0.1511 while using the TOPSIS method, the Wuling Air EV ranks first with a preference weight of 0.6373

Infection is still a health problem for developed and developing countries. The pancreas is one of the organs that often experiences infection. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of giving clove extract (Syzygium aromaticum) on the pancreas function of male white rats (Rattus norvegicus) of the wistar strain infected with Staphylococcus aureus and how the histopathology is. The research sample was 24 male Wistar rats. This study uses a quantitative experimental research type, namely by using a true experiment or laboratory experimental design. This study uses a post-test only control group design to determine and analyze the effects before and after administration of clove extract in improving pancreatic function in white rats (Rattus norvegicus) Wistar strain infected with Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The results of the One-way Anova test on the results of observations of serum lipase and amylase levels showed a significance value of 0.000 or greater than 0.05. It was concluded that there was a significant difference between the control group, treatment group 1, treatment group 2, and treatment group 3. The Post Hoc LSD test showed that there was a significant difference between the control group and treatment group 1 (p = 0.000) and treatment group 2 (p = 0.000). There was no significant difference between the control group and treatment group 3 (p = 0.475). Clove extract contains secondary metabolites in the form of saponins, tannins, flavonoids, and triterpenoids that help repair damaged pancreatic cells due to Staphylococcus aureus infection. Administration of clove extract at a dose of 600 mg/kgBW is effective in improving pancreatic function in white rats (Rattus norvegicus) Wistar strain that experience Staphylococcus aureus infection. The results of histopathological observations of pancreatic tissue in treatment group 3 (600 mg/kgBW) experienced the most significant improvement and approached the control group (reference group) compared to other group

Antioxidants can stop the damaging actions of free radicals. Antioxidants are divided into two, namely enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidants. This study aims to test the effectiveness of antioxidants and anti-aging of methanol extract of sambiloto leaves (Andrographis paniculata) in preventing skin aging in Wistar rats exposed to ultraviolet light. This study is an experimental study using prepost test control group design. In this study, 24 male Wistar rats were used as samples which were divided into 4 groups. The results of the study showed that the active substances contained in the methanol extract of sambiloto leaves (Andrographis paniculata) tested through phytochemical testing contained secondary metabolites such as alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins. The results of the antioxidant test of the methanol extract of sambiloto leaves (Andrographis paniculata) through the DPPH test obtained an IC50 value of 53.65. So the antioxidant test of the sambiloto leaf extract (Andrographis Paniculata) showed that there was an antioxidant content in the sambiloto leaf extract (Andrographis paniculata) with a strong category. Seeing the antiaging activity of the methanol extract of sambiloto leaves (Andrographis Paniculata) with the best collagen density area were groups P3 and P2, namely the treatment groups given methanol extract of sambiloto leaves (Andrographis paniculata) concentrations of 5% and 10% because the collagen density was already very large and dense compared to treatment group 1 and the control group in skin tissue histopathology. These results indicate that the methanol extract of sambiloto leaves (Andrographis paniculata) has the potential as a natural antioxidant and anti-aging agent for skin exposed to UV rays
