Consumer Rights Protection on Sugar Content Information in Ready-to-Eat Food Products: An Analysis of Consumer Protection Law and Health Government Regulation Implementation

    No full text
The increasing prevalence of non-communicable diseases in Indonesia, particularly diabetes and obesity, correlates with excessive sugar consumption. Ready-to-eat food products often lack comprehensive sugar content information, potentially violating consumer rights. This study analyzes consumer rights protection implementation regarding sugar content information on ready-to-eat food products under Indonesian Consumer Protection Law and Health Government Regulations. This normative legal research employs statutory, case, and comparative approaches. Data were collected through literature review of primary legal sources and secondary materials, analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods. Significant implementation gaps exist despite comprehensive legal frameworks. Only 37% of surveyed outlets provide complete nutritional information. While Article 4(c) of Consumer Protection Law guarantees information rights and PP 28/2021 mandates nutrition labeling, enforcement remains weak. Key obstacles include regulatory inconsistencies, limited institutional capacity, high compliance costs, and low consumer literacy (42% urban, 18% rural). Substantial gaps between legal mandates and actual practice require multi-faceted solutions: regulatory harmonization, institutional strengthening, economic incentives, and massive public education campaigns

    No full text
Primary dysmenorrhea is common among adolescent girls and affects their quality of life and daily activities. Therefore, effective and safe treatments are needed. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of red ginger consumption in reducing the intensity of primary dysmenorrhea pain in adolescent girls. The research design used was a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study was conducted at SMK "P" Batu City from September to December 2024, involving 32 adolescent female participants selected through a total sampling technique. The independent variable was the consumption of red ginger, 200 ml, twice daily (morning and evening), and the dependent variable was the intensity of dysmenorrhea pain. Pain levels were measured before and after the intervention using direct observation instruments. Data analysis was performed by calculating the frequency distribution and the Wilcoxon statistical test. The results showed that before the intervention, most respondents experienced moderate pain (59.4%) and severe pain (21.9%). After red ginger consumption, there was a significant decrease in pain intensity. On the first day of intervention, 68.6% had mild pain, and 25% had moderate pain. On the second day, 46.8% reported no pain, and 40.6% experienced only mild pain. Wilcoxon test results revealed a significant difference in pain intensity between the pre-intervention and post-intervention periods (p < 0.001). Thus, red ginger consumption is proven to be significantly effective in reducing primary dysmenorrhea pain intensity in adolescent girls

Effect of Chest Physiotherapy on Respiratory Effectiveness in Children with Pneumonia

    No full text
Pneumonia remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in children, especially those with weakened immunity due to factors such as insufficient breast milk, malnutrition, HIV or measles infection, premature birth, or incomplete immunizations. Environmental exposures—including dust, cigarette smoke, and air pollution further elevate the risk. This study aimed to systematically review literature (2019–2024) on the effectiveness of chest physiotherapy in improving clinical outcomes, specifically respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, length of hospital stay, and symptomatic recovery in children with pneumonia. We conducted electronic searches on Google Scholar, NCBI, and accredited Indonesian journals using the keywords “chest physiotherapy” and “pneumonia in children.” From approximately 60 initially identified articles, eight met our inclusion criteria and were reviewed in full. Most studies were quasi‑experimental; one was a randomized controlled trial. Study populations ranged from infants (0–5 years) to older children (6–12 years). Interventions comprised postural drainage, clapping, vibration, percussion, deep‑breathing exercises, and effective coughing techniques. Results from eight studies indicated modest improvements in oxygen saturation and reductions in respiratory rate in some small trials. However, findings were inconsistent, with substantial heterogeneity in methodology, intervention protocols, and outcome reporting. Overall evidence quality was low to moderate. Chest physiotherapy may offer potential benefits in terms of oxygenation and respiratory rate in pediatric pneumonia patients. Nevertheless, current evidence remains limited and heterogeneous. High‑quality randomized controlled trials using standardized protocols are needed to establish stronger recommendation

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of efficiency in the use of production factors in rice farming, to analyze the income levels obtained by farmers, and to provide input in the form of strategies and recommendations for farmers to improve their productivity and efficiency in the future. This research employed a descriptive quantitative method with a survey approach. Data were collected directly from farmers through interviews using questionnaires, and supplemented with secondary data from relevant institutions. The respondents were rice farmers in Sijambi Village, selected based on specific criteria. The collected data were then analyzed using the Cobb-Douglas production function model to measure the extent of efficiency in the use of production factors, as well as income analysis to determine farmers’ profitability. The results show that farmers in Sijambi Village are generally quite efficient in utilizing production factors, particularly in the use of labor and fertilizers. However, inefficiencies were still found in the use of seeds and land management. The income levels obtained by farmers were relatively profitable, although there remains room for improvement to achieve more optimal results. The study recommends the adoption of modern agricultural technologies, the enhancement of farm management skills, and greater institutional support to increase rice production efficiency in the study area

The Relationship Between Self-Esteem and Narcissism With Self-Presentation on Social Media Among Generation Z

    No full text
Intense social media use among Generation Z has led to idealized self-presentation behavior that often does not align with reality. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-esteem and narcissism with self-presentation on social media in Generation Z, both partially and simultaneously. The subjects of the study were 151 respondents from Generation Z who were active on social media platforms. Using a quantitative approach, the data were analyzed through a regression test. The results showed that narcissism had a significant correlation with self-presentation (t = 2.397, p = 0.018), while self-esteem did not show a significant relationship (p = 0.270). Simultaneous analysis showed that self-esteem and narcissism together influenced self-presentation with a sig value of 0.010. Although the contribution of narcissism is more dominant, with a practical contribution of 4.6%, overall, these two variables only explain a small part of the factors that influence self-presentation (R² = 0.060). Thus, narcissism is a dominant factor in self-presentation behavior, while the contribution of both to the model is still limited. This study recommends exploring additional psychological variables to gain a more comprehensive understanding

Constructivist and Humanistic Learning Theories in Islamic Religious Education (IRE): Student-Centered Learning Approaches

    No full text
This study examines the application of constructivist and humanistic learning theories in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) through a student-centered learning approach. Constructivist theory posits that knowledge is actively constructed by learners through experience, reflection, and environmental interaction, while humanistic theory emphasizes the holistic development of human potential encompassing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, aligned with the Islamic concept of humans as vicegerents on earth. The integration of these theories in IRE pedagogy creates an interactive and meaningful learning environment that honors individual uniqueness. Within this framework, teachers function as facilitators, mediators, and motivators who guide students toward self-actualization through contextual and collaborative learning activities. The constructivist-humanistic approach demonstrates significant advantages in enhancing learner autonomy, critical thinking skills, and the formation of religious character. However, its implementation faces substantial challenges, including limitations in teacher competency, instructional time constraints, and availability of contextual learning resources. Therefore, professional development initiatives for educators and the development of adaptive IRE curricula are essential to ensure effective implementation of both theoretical frameworks in learning practice
