Conceptual Framework of Conceptual Problem Based Learning (CPBL) Model to Facilitate High School Students’ Critical Thinking Ability
 Learning to facilitate critical thinking requires a set of specific learning models that aims to trains critical thinking skills that in this study is the development of conceptual problem based learning model. This study aims to develop a conceptual problem-based learning model to facilitate high school students’ critical thinking skills. This study is a development research that will produce a model of learning products, namely a valid Conceptual Problem Based Learning Model to facilitate high school students’ critical thinking skills. Validation of CPBL learning model includes two components namely content validity and construct validity. The result of data analysis shows that the CPBL model can be declared valid with reliability percentage of 97% (reliable) based on syntax model assessment that is: 1) prior knowledge; 2) organize; 3) investigate; 4) analyze; 5) evaluate; to facilitate critical thinking skills
The Acquisition and Learning of EFL in A Non-formal English Education in Indonesia
The acquisition and learning of English as a Foreign Language differs from that of English as a Second Language. In the EFL setting, it is not sufficient if the teaching and learning processes only depend on formal institution. Because of that, the non-formal education plays an important role to support the processes. This research aims at exploring (1) how Kampung Inggris Kebumen – as one of non-formal educations in Indonesia – was built; (2) what the teaching method used to make the learners in Kampung Inggris Kebumen speak English without any reluctance; and (3) how the learners in Kampung Inggris Kebumen acquire and learn English. This research applies qualitative method i.e. a descriptive case study by means of observation and interviews. The result shows that (1) as one of non-formal institution, Kampung Inggris Kebumen plays a significant important role in the success of English teaching and learning in Kebumen Regency, in terms of their collaboration with MGMP Sekolah; (2) Kampung Inggris Kebumen applies the combination of direct method and audio lingual method which are confirmed supportive in the process of acquiring and learning English as a Foreign Language; (3) The students feel that they can decrease their affective filter since the instructors of Kampung Inggris Kebumen use many fun learning activities, provide rich exposures, and intensive time to apply the English in students’ real life. Keywords : acquisition, learning, EFL, non-formal educatio
Link and Match Model in Vocational High Schools
The Education System currently processes the Vocational School of Electric Power Engineering in DUDI. Produce a model of implementation of apprenticeship between Vocational School majoring in Electric Power and DUDI with work readiness of Vocational students after implementing internship. This research applies development focusing on the model link and match through apprenticeship. The development model modifies the development of Borg and Gall, ADDIE, and Dick and Carey. Development is carried out by stages, namely; need assignment, design, development, evaluation; and dissemination. The results showed that the development of the model link and match validation was declared valid. Products in the form of industrial manuals are declared feasible to be used by all aspects of learning in the good category. Based on the results of the research obtained, it was concluded that the development of the model link and match through the apprenticeship developed had met the categories of validity, practicality and interest so that it was feasible to be developed
IDENTIFICATION OF VULNERABILITY AREA OF MASS MOVEMENT USINGSTORIE METHOD IN BONE BOLANGO REGENCY, GORONTALO PROVINCE
Based on the analysis result, the research sites are divided into three levels of mass movement vulnerability; low as much as 10,98, moderate as much as 84,41, and high as much as 4,61% out of the entire research areasMass movement occurs due to the natural process in the changes of surface structure, in which there is a disturbance of stability in the soil or rocks making up the slope. The disturbance is caused by some conditions such as a relatively steep slope, the condition of rock or soil making the slope, high rainfall intensity, uncontrolled human activity in exploiting the nature as well as the state of geological structures. The research site is located in three sub-districts in Bone Bolango District; Suwawa Timur, Suwawa Tengah, and Suwawa Selatan. These three sub-districts have a history of mass movement during the rainy season. The availability of up-to-date data is required to reduce the impact caused by the mass movement. This research aims to identify the areas prone to mass movement. One of the approaches applied to identify the areas prone to mass movement is Storie Index method by calculating the parameter, which is considered influencing the mass movement. Among others, the parameters are steepness of the slope, rainfall, type of soil, land usability, and lineament density as the parameter of geological structures
The Effect of Fermentation Feed Combination with Commercial Feed on Growth of Super Native Chicken
This study was aimed to determine the effect of providing a combination of tofu dregs fermentation with commercial feed on the growth of super native chickens. The research was being conducted in June-September 2019 at the Integrated Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry, University of Sembilanbelas November Kolaka. The materials were used in this study were super native chicken, fermented feed, and commercial feed (Malindo). The fermented feed consists of tofu dregs, yellow corn, fine rice bran, starch, molasses. Tools that used were digital scales, pans, tarpaulins, cages, feed containers, drinking containers, cables, lamps, sacks, plastic polybags, sacks, feed grinding machines, gas, hoses, buckets, basins. This research was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) 4 treatments three replications with each test consisting of 8 super native chickens. The parameters observed were Weekly Consumption, Weekly Body Weight Gain (WBWG), and Feed Conversion. The results showed that the influence of feed consumption was not significant (P 0.05), while the WBWG and Feed Conversion were significantly different due to treatment. So it can be concluded that the use of a combination of fermented tofu pulp and commercial feed with a ratio of 60% and 40% can increase weekly body weight gain and decrease feed conversion so that the use of feed is more efficien
Relationship of Hatching Egg Weights with Egg Weight Loss and DOC Weights of Chickens from Bangkok Male Crossbreeding with Pelung Chicken Broodstock
This study aims to determine the correlation between hatching egg weight with egg weight loss and DOC weight of Bangkok male crossbreed chickens with Pelung broodstock. This research uses a unit of automatic digital hatching machines (temperature regulation and automatic turning). The research material is Bangkok rooster chicken, amounting to two tails and four Pelung broilers. The chicken is crossed, and then the eggs are collected to be hatched eggs. This study uses digital camera tools, digital scales, and calculators. The coded eggs are hatched for 21 days. The parameters measured in this study were: Hatching egg weight (grams), egg weight of day 18th hatching, egg weight loss (%) / egg shrinkage, DOC weight, the correlation value between the weight of hatching eggs with egg weight loss, the correlation value between the weight of hatching eggs with the weight of DOC. Data analysis using correlation. The results obtained were the average hatching egg weight of 45.91 ± 3.75 grams, the average of hatching eggs on the 18th day 41.13 ± 3.43 grams, egg weight loss 10.40 ± 0.56%, weight DOC 35.36 ± 3.33 grams, correlation of hatching egg weight to DOC0.98 weight, hatching egg correlation with egg weight loss -0.25. Based on the results of the study,  it can be concluded that the characteristics of Bangkok crossbreed hatching eggs with Pelung brooders are in the normal range. The correlation of hatching egg weight with very high DOC weight and positively correlated, correlation of hatching egg weight with low egg weight loss and negatively correlated
Growth and Production of Pakchoy Under Various Type of Organic Fertilizer
This study was conducted in Wiringpalenna village, Tempe sub-district of Wajo district, with the aim to determine the effect of the type of organic matter on the growth and production of pakchoy plants. The study was arranged based on a Randomized Block Design with five treatments namely: without organic matter, chicken manure, Blotong (Filter press mud), bokashi common water hyacinth, bokashi rice straw. Character Selection and Tolerance Screening Efectivity on Static Hydroponic Method Under Drought Stress in Rice
This research was aimed to evaluate the efectivity of screening method and identification of tolerance screening selection character in statis hydroponic system towards drough stress. The research was carried out in Hydroponic Screenhouse Perdos Unhas, Tamalanrea, Makassar which throughout February-April 2020. This research was conducted in factorial design in nested patterns, where environment was the nested replication. Environments used were normal (0% PEG) and drought stress (10% PEG). Five rice varieties were used: Inpari 34, Ciherang, IR29 and Jeliteng. Research result showed that canopy height and fresh weight were the suitable selection character in drought tolerance screening through statis hydroponic cultivation. Grouping consistency was found between drought and salinity stress. Inpari 34, Ciherang, Jeliteng and Inpari 29 was considered to be have drought tolerance, whilst IR29 was examined to be responsive to drough stress in hydroponic culture. The Vigor and Viability Seed Testing of Three Tobacco Varieties on Various Seed Germination Media
Seed viability is one of the most important physiological quality benchmarks of seeds. The use of appropriate germination media can affect the results of seed viability testing. This study aims to determine the optimal germination media in tobacco seed viability testing. This research was conducted at the Seed Laboratory of the Indonesian Sweetener and Fiber Crops Research Institute, Malang in January - March 2019. The research method used a two-factorial randomized block design (RAK). The first factor is tobacco seed varieties consisting of Kasturi in 2007, Bojonegoro in 2012 and Kemloko in 2014. The second factor is the seed germination media consisting of straw paper, cotton, towel tissue, paperboard and newspaper. The results showed that the Kemloko variety of tobacco seeds germinated in the towel tissue had the best seed vigor and viability percentage. Seed germination media with paperboard, towel tissue and straw paper can be used to test the viability of tobacco seeds because they have a percentage of simultaneous growth, percentage of the growth speed, percentage of germination, percentage of the growth potential maximum and normal seedling dry weight which are equally wel
Spatial Distribution of Traditional Market in Padang City
This study aims to spatial distribution of traditional markets in Padang City that which consist of: 1) Distribution spatial of traditional market, 2) Spatial patterns of tradional market, and 3) Range pattern of traditional market. Type of this research is descriptive research with spatial analysis technique. Population in this study are all traditional markets in the Padang City. Sample of this study was that all traditional markets in Padang were taken with a sampling technique. That is total sampling where the number of samples is equal to the population. The data analysis technique uses the analysis of the nearest neighbor index and buffer zone. The results of this study were found that: 1) Spatial Distribution of Traditional Markets in Padang City, there are 21 traditional markets spread across 9 Subdistricts: Koto Tangah District, Padang Utara District, Padang Barat District, Padang Timur District, Padang Selatan District, Lubuk Begalung District, Lubuk Kilangan Subdistrict, Kuranji Subdistrict, and Nanggalo Subdistrict, 2) The distribution pattern of traditional markets in Padang City is included in the pattern of uneven distribution (random), 3) Range pattern of traditional markets in Padang City with a radius of 5Km are more likely to focus in the city center or the western and northwestern parts of Padang City
