    The Effect Basic Training to Student’s Environmental Awareness Character

    The environmental awareness character needs to improve for all human. This paper aim is to determine the effect of basic training to the student’s environmental awareness character. The paper research type is free experiment with the subject of Undergraduate Geography Education students Class of 2016. The actualization was done from 16th August to 20th November 2018 in USN Kolaka. The research instruments are pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed using parametric inferential statistics through a test of one sample t-test with the help of SPSS 16.0 for Windows. The results of data analysis showed that there was an effect of Basic Training on the character of student’s environmental awareness character with a significance value of testing one sample t-test with the help of SPSS 16.0 for Windows at 0,000.     The Viability of Bali Cattle Epididymal Sperm with the Addition of Caffeine in Tris-Egg Yolk Diluents

    The research aimed to examine the effect of caffeine's addition on diluents on Bali cattle epididymis' survival or sperm viability to get the right amount of caffeine. The epididymis collection was taken from the Slaughterhouse of Ternate City. Analysis of sperm vitality or viability was carried out in the Biotechnology Laboratory of Universitas Khairun. The methods in this research were by preparing egg yolk Tris solution treated with caffeine P0 (0 mg/ml), P2 (2 mg/ml), P4 (4 mg/ml), and P6 (6 mg/ml) with four replications, and then the epididymal sperm was inserted into each treatment. The epididymal sperm viability was calculated by evaluating the percentage of the number of living sperm.  It compared to the dead sperm, which were observed microscopically by eosin-nigrosin staining. The data obtained were analyzed by one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) to see if there were significant differences (P0.05) or very real (P0.01), the analysis were then continued with the Tukey-W-Procedure test with SPSS 18. The results show that administration of caffeine 2 mg/ml and 4 mg/ml  (86.95% and 86.95%) have a significant effect on the sperm viability of epididymis compared with 0 mg/ml and 6 mg/ml (69.38% and 69.91%) treatments

    High Lycopene Tomato Breeding Through Diallel Crossing

    Tomatoes are known as one of the natural source of antioxidant, which is a compound that can inhibit and reduce oxidative cell and biomolecule damages, such as lipid, protein, and DNA. Health benefits from lycopene made this compound a tomato breeding subject for increasing its nutrient content. Tomato breeding is an environment friendly and sustainable method in agriculture biofortification methods, hence making the efforts for increasing tomato lycopene content to be possible. The aim of this research was to produce tomato hybrid with high lycopene and yield. This research was conducted in Experimental Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin Univerisy, Makassar throughout June-Septermber 2020. This research was done in full diallel analysis using Griffing 1 method. Hybrid characters are highly determined with the presence of maternal effect. Lycopene has no correlation with productionCharacters correlated with lycopene are plant height, number of leaves, number of fruits per bunch, fruit length and fruit diameter, whilst productivity is correlated with number of leaves, stem diameter, and fruit diameter. The population of the research are all the students of physical education health and recreation halu oleo university amunted 226 people taken by 70 students. Then selected based on control variable. Firtly selected on gender at 43 people of male, then selected by horizontal swings ability and getting 34 people. Then 34 students by random to be sample of 20 people. The results of data analysis by using t-test statistical techniques at significant level of 0,05. The research can be concluded that "there is an effect of horizontal swings training toward discus trowing ability, where tcount = 6,837 ttabel = 2,093 at the experiment group

    The Effectiveness of Mind Mapping Learning Models Based on Contextual Learning on Mathematical Problem Solving Ability

    This research is an experimental research with the aim to find out: (1) mathematical problem solving abilities of SMP Negeri 3 Kolaka students taught by using contextual based mind mapping learning; (2) mathematical problem solving abilities of students of SMP Negeri 3 Kolaka who are taught using conventional methods; and (3) the effectiveness of context-based mind mapping learning on mathematical problem solving abilities. The data analysis technique uses descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The conclusion in this study is the mathematical problem solving abilities of students taught using mind mapping learning model based on contextual learning consisting of 20 students showing a mean value of 60.71. While students taught with conventional learning consisting of 17 students showed a mean value of 50.14. Furthermore, the results of inferential statistical analysis of hypothesis testing using the t-test have obtained a value of tcount (2.889) ttable (1.68957). From the results of the research, it can be concluded that the mathematical problem solving abilities of students taught by mind mapping learning model based on contextual learning are more effective than the mathematical problem solving abilities of students taught with conventional learning in class VIII of SMP 3 Kolaka

    The results of mathematics learning in class XI IA1 students are still relatively low, especially in many tribal material. In many tribal materials there are still many students who have difficulty determining the remainder of the division of terms by quadratic form using the remainder theorem and the difficulty of determining the roots of a many-term equation. So the purpose of this study is to improve student mathematics learning outcomes in many tribal materials through the Reciprocal Teaching approach in Class XI IA1. The subjects in this study were all students of class XI IA1 SMA Negeri 2 Kendari. The instrument used was a learning achievement test in the form of an initial test, a first cycle test, and a second cycle test, as well as an observation sheet for teachers and students for the conditions of action. The results showed that the mathematics learning outcomes of students increased based on the results of each test given. The results of the first cycle test showed that of 39 students, 24 students scored above the KKM. In the second cycle test there were 31 students who were able to get a d score on the KKM. Based on work indicators, it was concluded that student mathematics learning outcomes in many tribal materials could be improved through the Reciprocal Teaching approach in Class XI IA1 SMA Negeri 2 Kendari

Therefore, the waste of sago pulp is important to be researched by academics in order to improve people's welfare. Through a touch of engineering from the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Halu Oleo University, sago pulp waste can be made as an added material for concrete brick. This research has a positivistic paradigm. This study uses a survey method with a qualitative approach. Data were analyzed and processed with mathematical formulas for brick strength and water absorption.     SINHAS-1 Maize Seed Production Through Male-Female Ratio and Pruning Technique

    The research was aimed to obtain male and female rows ratio and best pruning technique towards SINHAS 1 maize production. This research was conducted in Experimental Farm Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University, Tamalanrea District, Makassar, South Sulawesi with elevation of 22,4 meters above the sea level throughout May – August 2020. The experiment was carried out in the form of Split Plot Design with male-female row ratio as main plot, which consisted of three levels: 1:2 ratio, 1:3 ratio, and 1:4 ratio. Sub plot was pruning techniques: no pruning, male parent pruning and leaf pruning under the cob of female parent. The result showed that the favorable male-female row ratio towards SINHAS 1 maize production was 1:4 ratio. Male parent pruning was the best pruning technique for SINHAS 1 maize production. The interaction between male-female ratio and best pruning technique was 1:3 male-female ratio with male parent pruning technique.     The Impact of Cooperative Learning on Iranian Intermediate EFL Learners’ Reading Comprehension: The Case of Jigsaw Technique

    This study examined the effect of Jigsaw technique as a part of cooperative learning on Iranian EFL learners’ reading comprehension. To this end, 40 intermediate participants were selected out of 73 EFL learners based on the results of Oxford Quick Placement Test (OQPT). The participants were divided into two groups; control and experimental. Then, the participants of both groups were pretested on reading comprehension. After pre-testing, the cooperative learning activities (Jigsaw technique) were practiced with the participants of the experimental group during 5 sessions. The experimental participants were assigned to five-member teams to work on reading texts. Each team member read an assigned section and then members from different teams who had studied the same sections met in ‘expert groups’ to discuss their sections. Then, students returned to their own teams and taught their team-mates about their section. On the other hand, the control group received traditional teacher-fronted instruction throughout the classroom time. After the treatment sessions, a teacher-made reading comprehension post-test was given to the participants of both groups to measure their reading comprehension ability after the treatment. The results of paired samples t-test and independent samples t-test revealed that the experimental group outperformed the control group on the post-test. The findings also showed that there was a significant difference between the post-tests of both groups in favor of the experimental group

    Problems in the class indicate students are less active in learning. Students are more dominant in receiving one-way material. The low desire of students in learning participation in the form of asking, answering, or presenting. The outdoor study is the chosen learning method to overcome these problems. The outdoor study is useful for student knowledge, learning, and student motivation. This study aims to determine the effect of outdoor study on the activeness of high school geography students. This research is included in a quantitative methodology with a type of quasi experiment. The researcher determined purposely XI IIS 1 as the experimental class and XI IIS 2 as the control class. Research in Muhammadiyah 1 Babat High School, Lamongan Regency even semester 2015/2016 academic year. The data in this research were analyzed using descriptive quantitative with percentage. The results show that the application of outdoor study provides a change in student active; this can be seen from the category of the active per student in the experimental class, none of them get less active. The average overall active there is a difference of 12.43 from the control class.
