There are several main indicators that can be used to assess the quality of sourdough starter, namely pH, dough volume, and the presence and diversity of Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB). Meanwhile, the addition of natural ingredients such as fermented Ambon bananas is considered to be able to improve the quality of sourdough starters, by increasing the number and diversity of LAB. This study is a comparative exploratory study that compares the quality of sourdough starters made with fermented Ambon bananas (Type III) and those made without Ambon bananas (Type I), and identifies the diversity of LAB in both. This study showed that all parameters are better in type III than in type I, where the pH is lower, the dough develops faster and has a larger volume, and the number of LAB is higher. Meanwhile, the LAB contained in Type III is more diverse (Lactobacillus pentosus, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Lactobacillus paraplantarum) compared to Type I, which only contains one isolate (Lactobacillus pentosus). Based on the results found, sourdough with the addition of Ambon banana fermentation can produce better starter quality and contains more diverse LAB, namely heterofermentative and homofermentative. Keywords: sourdough starter, fermented ambon banana fruit, lactic acid bacteria

This research investigated students’ use of Grammarly in completing academic writing assignments, focusing on their experiences and the tool’s effectiveness in improving writing. The study was conducted at Universitas Sembilanbelas November (USN) Kolaka with a mixed-methods design, combining questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with English Department students. The findings revealed that Grammarly was widely used by students, particularly to correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary. Students reported that Grammarly helped them polish their essays, proposals, and theses, with grammar correction emerging as the most dominant aspect. Moreover, Grammarly increased students’ confidence and motivation in writing, as they felt more assured of the accuracy of their work. However, the research also found several limitations. Students who relied on the free version faced restricted access to advanced features, while some experienced technical issues such as slow performance. More importantly, Grammarly could not replace human feedback, as it often lacked explanations for errors. Thus, students still sought guidance from peers and lecturers for deeper understanding. In conclusion, Grammarly served as a helpful support tool for academic writing by reducing surface-level errors and boosting students’ confidence. Yet, it worked best when complemented with human feedback and traditional learning. This study highlights the importance of integrating Grammarly mindfully into academic contexts, particularly in rural universities, to balance technology with pedagogy.

Indonesia is known as an agricultural country with abundant natural resources, but this condition does not necessarily mean that Indonesians have easy and affordable access to food. Indonesia has been known as a food importer in recent decades. However, serious problems remain in the agricultural workforce. The main problem is the shift in demographic structure that is unfavourable for the agricultural sector, namely the increasing number of older farmers (over 55 years old), while the younger workforce is decreasing. This phenomenon of ageing farmers (ageing farmers) and the decreasing interest of young workers in the agricultural sector. The purpose of this study is to examine how urbanisation, education level, income factors influence youth interest in agriculture. This research was conducted in Bulo Village, Panca Rijang District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency from November to December 2024. The population was 42 young farmers in Bulo Village aged 16-30 years. The data analysis technique used was Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The results of this study indicate that from the F Test (Simultaneous), all Independent Variables (X) have a significant effect on the Dependent Variable (Y). Meanwhile, the T Test (Partial) Urbanisation Variable (X1), Education Level Variable (X2), and Income Variable (X3) have a significant effect on the Interest (Y) of the young generation in Bulo Village, Panca Rijang District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency
