The results of the SWOT matrix show that from several IFAS internal factors and EFAS external factors, P4S has quite large strengths with a score of 1.971 which is higher than the weakness score of 1.536. However, there is a threat to the score1,882whose value is close to the strength score and greater than the opportunity score of 1.653. The position of P4S Wanua Lampoko is in quadrant II, which means that even though it faces various threats, P4S Wanua Lampoko still has strength from an internal company perspective. The strategy that must be established is to use strengths to take advantage of long-term opportunities with a diversification strategy. P4S Wanua Lampoko, which is based on the ST (Strength and Treats) strategy, is expected to be able to control product prices to increase people's purchasing power, use quality seeds to increase production and quality of vegetables sold

Analysis of Amilum Containment in Tomat Leaves (Solanum lycopersicum) Based on The Sach Test

    Get PDF
Photosynthesis is the process of preparing organic substances H2O and CO2 into complex organic compounds that require light. Photosynthesis can only occur in plants that have chlorophyll, a pigment that functions as a catcher of sunlight energy which will later be converted into amylum. Amylum as a complex carbohydrate resulting from photosynthesis, plays an important role in various important physiological processes in the leaves. The purpose of this study was to determine the amylum content in tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) leaves. Qualitative descriptive method was carried out by referring to Sach's method by measuring the starch content of leaves using foil and betadine (Iodine) on tomato leaf samples. The results showed the presence of amylum in tomato leaves that were not covered with aluminum foil after being tested with Iodine solution. This is evidenced by the change in leaf color to blue-black on the surface of the leaves. While in tomato leaves covered with aluminum foil the color of the leaves turns pale and there are only a few blue-black spots, this indicates that leaves that are not exposed to direct sunlight and do not undergo photosynthesis normally have little amylum content in them. Keywords: Amylum, Solanum lycopersicum, Sach Tes

The extreme climate change on the earth's surface in recent years is a serious issue. Agricultural sector has been affected by climate change because it causes crop failure and decreases crop productivity, especially food crops, namely corn. The climatic conditions of the Takalar Regency are generally characterized by high rainfall and drought, particularly at dry times. The purpose of this study is to: (1) Analyze the opinions of corn farmers; (2) Analyze the adaptation pattern of corn farmers; (3) Analyze the factors that influence the adaptation pattern of corn farmers. The first and second objectives were analyzed descriptive quantitatively, and the third objective was analyzed using ordinal logistic regression. The results on 39 farmers being interviewed showed that (1) Corn farmers' opinions regarding changes in temperature, rain intensity, drought have increased in recent years; (2) Adaptation patterns carried out by corn farmers in facing climate change are improving water management, soil management technology, integrated pest control, changing cropping patterns, and adjusting planting time; (3) Factors that affect the pattern of adaptation of corn farmers to climate change are land area, number of dependents of the household head, income, and access to information on climate change

    Get PDF
This study aimed to investigate the improvement of students’ speaking ability through the use of picture media. The participants were 25 second-grade students of SMKN 1 Watunohu. The study employed a classroom action research (CAR) design, which was conducted over two cycles. Each cycle involved planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting stages to identify the effectiveness of picture media in enhancing students’ speaking skills. Data were collected through speaking tests, classroom observations, and field notes, focusing on students’ ability to introduce someone, retell the profile of a picture, and describe someone based on the picture’s profile.  The findings revealed a significant improvement in students’ speaking ability across the two cycles. In the first cycle, the average speaking score was 55.4, indicating a moderate level of proficiency. After implementing the second cycle with refined strategies and feedback, the average score increased to 77.6, demonstrating substantial improvement. Observational data also showed that students were more confident, engaged, and able to express ideas fluently when supported by visual aids. The results suggest that picture media serves as an effective tool for developing speaking skills by providing contextual and visual support, stimulating students’ ideas, and facilitating meaningful communication.  In conclusion, the use of picture media in the teaching and learning process significantly enhances students’ speaking ability, particularly in tasks such as introducing others, retelling profiles, and describing people based on visual cues. This study provides evidence that integrating visual media into English language teaching can increase learners’ motivation, participation, and overall language proficience

Politeness Strategy in the Usage of Language Among Young People

    Get PDF
The purpose of this research is to study the Politeness Strategy by Penelope Brown and Stephen Levinson that is used by young people to communicate with community members and other peers. This is a fact that can be claimed that young people are easily provoked because of a lack of politeness when solving or facing problems that often might be considered foul and taboo like death, illness, different bodily functions and gender problems. Although such complaints are unprecedented in the way young people use their language, this research began to examine older people by obtaining various Politeness Strategies that allow young children to communicate with various groups of people. The study notes that the language used by young people who have politeness in speaking depends on the level during communication.Â
