にあるものではなく、日々の遊びや生活の中にあるということが重要である。そのことを踏まえて、保育内容「表現」の授業では、子どもの表現の捉え方から学ぶようにしている。また、近年、学生の感性や人と関わる力の低下が感じられるようになった。保育内容「表現」の授業内容を探る中で実習に着目し、実習という生きた学びの中で子どもと直接関わり、心を動かす経験は大きな意味があると考えた。子どもとのやりとりの大切さを実感することにも繋がると考え、実習において「ごっこあそび」の中での表現を捉え記録することを課題とした。本稿では、ごっこあそびを「もの」「動作」「言葉」の3点で子どもの表現を捉えた学生の記録と、ごっこあそびの捉え方や「もの」「動作」「言葉」の3点での表現の捉え方に関するアンケート調査の集計を合わせ読み取ることで、学生の意識と実態を調査し、これからの学生の学びに何が必要であるのかを考察した。departmental bulletin pape
Promoting Second Language Learning in Older Adults
Get PDFWith the unprecedented global increase in the number of people over 60 years old, governments, communities and organisations are now considering how they will need to develop and evolve in order to manage, care for and support older people in the new demographic order. Ageing has many detrimental effects on the health of individuals both physically and psychologically. To improve the quality of life and reduce the burden on both families and communities, it is essential for elderly individuals to have an active lifestyle after passing the age of retirement. This article will show the benefits of learning a foreign language particularly in older age and its results on ensuring healthy cognitive functions. Research shows that being able to communicate in a foreign language not only delays cognitive decline but can also protect against the onset of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease. This article will further demonstrate that despite common thought to the contrary, older adults learning a second language can achieve levels of proficiency affording opportunities not only to communicate effectively to other cultures and peoples, but also opportunities for self-development through greater knowledge and self-awareness, and increased confidence. Study Habits of Students at a Two-Year Tertiary Institution
Get PDFUnderstanding our students’study habits can contribute to how we teach, what we teach and what we designate as home learning. Little research appears to exist on Japanese university students’ study habits and it is through this study that the researcher presents her findings regarding the study habits of students at an all-female two-year junior college. These results show the data collected from 104 first and second year students who participated in an anonymous questionnaire. A Learning of early childhood education and care students in child health: Focus on the motivation of learning and establishment of knowledge
Get PDF本研究は、子どもの健康に対する学習について、幼児教育・保育専攻学生を対象として、本人の学習歴やボランティア経験など学習者の背景と学習の動機づけとの関係を明らかにし、知識の定着を図るための方策や授業改善のポイントを探ることを目的とした。子どもの保健ⅠAおよび保育内容指導生活と健康の受講者を対象として、自記式のアンケートを実施した。その結果、回答者は当該科目について、学習すべき内容の多さなどを感じている一方で、「保育者や母親になった時に役立つ」や「子どもの健康管理には不可欠と思う」と回答している。それ故、授業の中で学習している内容が、どのように将来役立つのか、また必要であるかの具体例を折に触れて示しながら進めていくことが、学習の動機づけの一助になるのではないかと思われた。また、学習の動機づけは幼稚園や保育園においてその知識を活用することと関係していることが明らかになったので、保育現場でのボランティア経験を積むことが学習の動機づけの面でも勧められる。departmental bulletin pape

Evaluation of the Relationship between Bone Density and Physical Characteristics, Meal and Physical Exercise in Infant
Get PDF幼児の骨密度は加齢とともに急激に増加するが、測定する骨の大きさや測定装置の特性などの関係で研究報告は多くない。本研究では乾式超音波法骨評価装置(AOS100ALOKA社）を用いて5～6歳の子ども128名の骨密度を測定し、身体特性や身体運動との関連性について検討した。幼児の身長、体重、BMI、性差、体力水準と骨密度の間には有意な相関は見られなかった。食品群別摂取頻度と骨密度との関連性は、明確な結論が得られなかった。測定した骨密度の３園間の比較では、女子のみ有意差が認められた。骨密度が有意に高かった園では、園庭の構造から日常的に脚の骨に対する垂直方向の力が加わるような形式の遊びが多く展開されていることが推測され、その結果女子の骨密度が他の２園と比較して高くなったと推察される。departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF本論文では、「問い」とは何かを問うことで出合った満洲開拓についての史実を扱ってきた。そこで筆者であるわたしたちが何よりも心がけたのが、歴史への真摯さ、である。記憶を後世へ伝えていくためには記録しなければならない。そのとき、記録の伝え手は、まず記憶の受け手としてのあり方を問われることになる。どのように歴史が書き換えられることになろうとも、その叙述が書き換えられるかぎり、そこにその出来事があったということを、まずはそのままに受けとめること。この誠実さを貫徹するにあたっては、何が正義で悪なのか、被害と加害を分断する境界線、運命の別れ目―あるいは、「仕方がなかった」で済まされはしないすべてのこと―に対しての解答などないと弁えること。リルケのいう「問い」にある忍耐を受けとめることを何よりも謙虚に受けとめていくべきではないかと考察した。departmental bulletin pape
