Get PDF器械体操部所属の男女高校生各10名と、一般高校生男女各10名の重心動揺（両足立ち、左右の片足立ち）を測定し、男女差と器械体操によるバランス能力のトレーニング効果について検討した。男子器械体操選手および一般男子と女子体操選手との間には左右の片足立ちの総軌跡長に有意差がみられた。男女器械体操選手と一般男女との間には総軌跡長の有意差は認められなかった。これは男子体操選手の経験年巣の少なさが起因していると推測される。女子は器械体操の経験年数の多い選手もみられ、一般女子よりもバランスがよくなる傾向がみられた。departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF近年、各自治体の保育職採用試験において実技課題の内容に変革が見られるようになっていることに着目した。従来、音楽実技については課題曲また任意の自由曲を”技術的にこなす”ことが最たる目標であったが、自治体の課題によっては、それに加えて保育職としての専門性が問われる内容が設定され、技術の鍛錬に加えて保育の一場面をいかに実際的な視点で捉え、制限時間内で自ら場面を設定する力量が求められるようになった。そこで、当研究では実際の発表に際して、目前に子どもいることを想定しながら（あるいは実際の子どもを目前にして）臆することなくパフォーマンスを繰り広げられるようにするためにはどのような準備と教員の指導が必要か、当該年度に同じ自治体を受験した4名の学生のアンケート記述と、筆者による実際の指導を通して考察した。その結果、当初は制限時間を超過してまとまりのない流れになっていた学生達が、詳細な計画を立てて自らのパフォーマンスを修正することで、全体的に改善することができた。departmental bulletin pape
What motivational strategies can teachers use to encourage reading in an L2 for pleasure?

There are an abundance of articles on the positive effects of ER on reading motivation but less widely reported in the literature are articles on the dynamic changes in motivation EFL learners experience during an ER course and the demotivating factors that obstruct learners from gaining success in a course. How to identify these factors and from this knowledge be in a better position to engage all learners in ER is in the interest of this author. Get PDF本研究は、保育者を取り巻く背景要因・子ども理解・保育者効力感の関連性を、保育者の熟達化の観点から検討することを目的とした。無記名式質問紙調査を実施し、因子分析及びステップワイズの重回帰分析を行った結果、保育者を取り巻く背景要因としての「園内協働性」は、保育者と子どもの関係を裏支えする社会的文脈として作用しており、特に保育経験10年目までの初任期や若手前後期の保育者にとって、子ども理解の「相互性」や「敏感性」に影響を及ぼすことが見出された。また、保育経験2年目以降の若手前期以降の保育者にとっては、子ども理解の「敏感性」の高さが、保育者効力感にポジティブな影響をもたらすことが明らかになった。したがって、保育者の初期キャリア段階において、職員間の協働的な園文化を整えていくことが、初任・若手期の保育者にとって子ども理解の「相互性」を高めていく一助となること、また、保育者自身の「敏感性」を高めていくような園内研修などの専門性育成を試みることによって、保育者としての自信や信念の獲得などに資する可能性が示唆された。departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF全日本大学選手権に常時出場しているチームの女子スポーツ選手に対し、指導者の教え方がやる気にどのように影響するかを調査した。調査の結果、やる気が高まる教え方は、「うまいプレーに対してほめる」、「自信を持たせてくれる」、「信じてくれる」などであり、指導者からほめられたり、自分自身のことを認められた時に選手はやる気を出すことが分かった。一方、「プレーを全否定される」、「決めつける」、「意見を言っても全否定する」など、指導者が選手に対して否定的であった場合にはやる気得点が低くなることが示された。departmental bulletin pape
A Replication of "Is Form-Focused Vocabulary Instruction Worthwhile?" (Mason and Krashen, 2004)
Get PDFStory listening is an instructional procedure developed by Beniko Mason in which teachers aim to provide compelling and comprehensible aural input bytelling stories and using pictures, gestures and L1 translations to help learners to understand the content (Mason, 2015). Studies have suggested that story listening is a more efficient way of developing vocabulary knowledge than more traditional and form-focused types of vocabulary instruction (Mason, 2007; Mason and Krashen, 2004; Mason, Vanata, Jander, Borsch and Krashen, 2009).
These short research notes present a loose replication of Is Form-Focused Vocabulary Instruction Worthwhile?" (Mason and Krashen, 2004), which reported a quasi-experimental study of two treatments and their relative effects on vocabulary growth. In both treatments, subjects listened to a story, but one of the groups also did supplementary vocabulary activities designed to teach the new words in the story. This group gained more words on a delayed post-test than the group that only listened to the story, but the latter gained more words per minute of exposure, suggesting that story listening alone is more efficient than combining story listening with traditional vocabulary activities.departmental bulletin pape
The Discourse of Professionalism in an Office Memorandum
Get PDFDiscourse in the context of the adult EFL Conversation school in Japan have changed as the more severe economic climate and population decline have depleted the numbers of those choosing to engage in English conversation as a hobby activity. While many instructors are neither TESOL trained nor have a background in education, there is a pressure to professionalize educational services. Institutional factors often minimize the opportunities for teachers to engage in self-reflective or professional development practices and consequently, EFL Conversation school teachers in Japan do not receive the status generally accorded to educators in mainstream educational contexts. Social practices and identities are constantly subject to change. The struggle to transform the practices of teachers (and hence, transmit a culture of professionalism) is on-going. This paper analyses both the generic structure and systemic functional lexico-grammatical choices of an office memorandum in order to reveal the construction of power relations in institutional discourse and how the discourse of professionalism is used to transform the practices of English conversation teachers.departmental bulletin pape
