    DAKWAH DIGITAL VIA WHATSAPP: STUDI KASUS REMAJA MASJID TAQWA JANGKAR SITUBONDO

    This research is motivated by the radical transformation in the digital communication landscape, where social media has shifted from a mere personal interaction tool to a strategic instrument for disseminating religious teachings (da\u27wah) in the modern era. This study aims to describe and deeply analyze the utilization of the WhatsApp application as a da\u27wah medium by the youth members of the Taqwa Mosque in Jangkar Village, Situbondo Regency. The primary focus lies on how this text-and-multimedia-based platform is optimized to maintain the continuity of da\u27wah at the grassroots level. The research method employed is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted through participant observation of the subjects\u27 digital activities, in-depth interviews with key youth mosque leaders, and documentation of the disseminated da\u27wah content. The findings indicate that WhatsApp serves medium for da\u27wah content through the Status and Broadcast List features; second, as an internal coordination space (Group Chat) to formulate religious agendas before they are disseminated to the wider community. This study also reveals that the use of WhatsApp carries significant implications covering four main aspects: (1) Social Aspect, namely the strengthening of social cohesion among members; (2) Religious Aspect, in the form of increased digital religious literacy; (3) Psychological Aspect, the growth of self-confidence among youth in preaching; and (4) Technical Aspect, regarding the efficiency of real-time information distribution. In conclusion, WhatsApp is not just a communication tool but a digital sacred space that is effective for mosque youth in maintaining the relevance of da\u27wah amidst the currents of modernization

    This research was conducted to address the critical issue of Arabic reading anxiety, which hinders students\u27 motivation, participation, and academic achievement. The main reason is that learning approaches specifically designed to reduce emotional and cognitive complexity in Arabic language learning are not yet optimal. The research uses a mixed methods approach with a sequential explanatory design. The quantitative stage consists of a quasi-experiment (pretest-posttest control group), while the qualitative stage includes participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Quantitatively, the interactive book-based gamification intervention successfully reduced reading anxiety by 50%, increased motivation by 57.5%, and raised the average score from 70 to 85. Qualitative findings reveal that gamification creates a low-threat learning environment, fulfils the psychological needs of autonomy-competence-relatedness, and facilitates cognitive processing. However, 20-25% of students were less responsive, indicating variations in individual needs. Integrating gamification with interactive textbooks has proven effective as a transformative strategy to reduce Arabic reading anxiety while simultaneously increasing engagement and learning outcomes. This research recommends the implementation of an adaptive learning model that considers students\u27 personal needs, as well as the need for further research with a broader scope

    Reconceptualizing the Validity of Cross-Paradigm Research through a Critical Review of Reliability, Credibility, and Trustworthiness

    The This study aims to reconceptualize the validity of cross-paradigm research through a critical examination of the evolution of the meaning and function of reliability, credibility, and trustworthiness in the methodological literature. This study departs from the problem of conceptual fragmentation and epistemological tension that arise due to the application of validity criteria ahistorically and procedurally in various research paradigms. The method used is  a non-systematic literature review of conceptually relevant Scopus indexed journal articles, with a thematic-conceptual analysis approach and cross-paradigm critical synthesis. The results of the study show that validity has shifted from technical-instrumental attributes to epistemic justification processes that are contextual, reflective, and paradigmatic. Reliability no longer serves as a universal prerequisite for validity, but rather as a technical mechanism whose relevance depends on certain epistemological assumptions. Credibility develops as an interpretive justification mechanism in qualitative research, while trustworthiness serves as a reflective evaluative framework that emphasizes transparency and accountability. This study also found epistemological tensions, conceptual inconsistencies, and theoretical limitations in the use of these three concepts across paradigms. In conclusion, the validity of research needs to be understood as a dynamic practice of epistemic justification and not reduced to a methodological checklist. This research contributes to the development of research methodology by offering a conceptual synthesis that goes beyond the classical dichotomy of validity–reliability and trustworthiness–credibility

    Studi Perbandingan Kelembagaan Ekonomi Islam di Berbagai Benua: Dinamika, Peluang, dan Tantangan

    Abstrak: Meskipun kelembagaan ekonomi Islam idealnya menjadi pilar yang menjamin keadilan, transparansi, dan keseimbangan ekonomi global, kenyataannya penerapannya di berbagai benua masih menghadapi kesenjangan tata kelola, regulasi yang belum harmonis, serta keterbatasan adaptasi terhadap dinamika globalisasi ekonomi. Permasalahan utama yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana kelembagaan ekonomi Islam dapat diadaptasi dan diperkuat agar tetap relevan, berdaya saing, dan berkelanjutan di tengah tantangan regulasi, disrupsi teknologi, serta perbedaan konteks sosial di Asia, Amerika, Eropa, Afrika, dan Oseania. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui studi literatur dan analisis data sekunder yang bersumber dari laporan lembaga keuangan, publikasi ilmiah internasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tantangan kelembagaan ekonomi Islam di berbagai benua meliputi lemahnya kepatuhan syariah, keterbatasan regulasi, dan rendahnya literasi keuangan syariah; (2) penerapan kelembagaan Islam di setiap benua berbeda sesuai konteks sosial, hukum, dan ekonomi masing-masing wilayah; (3) strategi penguatan kelembagaan menekankan pentingnya integrasi tata kelola syariah, inovasi digital, serta dukungan kebijakan lintas negara; serta (4) kelembagaan ekonomi Islam memiliki dampak terhadap pertumbuhan inklusif, stabilitas keuangan, serta keadilan sosial di tingkat global. Dengan demikian, penguatan kelembagaan ekonomi Islam lintas-benua menjadi kunci membangun sistem ekonomi global yang etis, resilien, dan berkelanjutan

    Dinamika Penguatan Umkm Dalam Meningkatkan Ketahanan Ekonomi: Studi Kualitatif Di Kabupaten Pamekasan

    Bisnis kecil dan menengah (UMKM) merupakan bagian penting dari ekonomi masyarakat Kabupaten Pamekasan dan memiliki peran strategis dalam meningkatkan ketahanan ekonomi lokal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari dinamika penguatan UMKM, masalah struktural, dan pembuatan model penguatan berbasis konteks lokal yang berkaitan dengan karakteristik Pamekasan. Meskipun UMKM memiliki potensi besar berbasis budaya dan sumber daya lokal, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data dari jurnal SINTA, buku, laporan resmi, dan literatur akademik terkait pemberdayaan UMKM, ketahanan ekonomi lokal, dan ekonomi Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan modal ekonomi, modal manusia, modal sosial, dan kapasitas digital pelaku UMKM menentukan ketahanan ekonomi lokal. Terbukti bahwa nilai-nilai budaya dan religius orang-orang di Pamekasan meningkatkan ketahanan mental dan sosial pelaku UMKM. Selain itu, melalui prinsip ekonomi Islam seperti keadilan, amanah, dan keberlanjutan, mereka memberikan landasan etis. Studi ini menyarankan model penguatan UMKM berbasis lokal yang menekankan pertumbuhan potensi daerah, penguatan modal sosial, transformasi digital, dan kebijakan yang adaptif dan berbasis lapangan. Diharapkan penelitian ini akan memberi pemangku kebijakan rujukan konseptual dan praktis untuk membangun ketahanan ekonomi lokal yang lebih tahan lama dan berkelanjutan. &nbsp

    Pengelolaan Dana Zakat Dalam Pemberdayaan Ekonomi Masyarakat

    This study aims to analyze the management of zakat funds in supporting community economic empowerment through a case study at the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Situbondo Regency, Indonesia. Zakat, as a key instrument in Islamic economics, serves not only as a religious obligation but also as a mechanism for income redistribution that can reduce poverty and improve the long-term welfare of zakat beneficiaries (mustahik). This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with BAZNAS management and staff, and institutional documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with validation ensured through source and method triangulation.   The findings indicate that BAZNAS Situbondo has implemented a structured zakat management strategy covering the stages of zakat collection, distribution, and utilization in accordance with Indonesian Law No. 23 of 2011. Zakat collection is carried out through public awareness programs, strengthening Zakat Collection Units (UPZ), zakat pick-up services, and digital payment systems. Zakat distribution follows the eight categories of eligible recipients (asnaf) mentioned in Qur’an Surah At-Taubah verse 60, ensuring accurate targeting. Furthermore, zakat utilization is not limited to consumptive assistance but has been expanded into productive empowerment programs, including micro-business capital support, educational scholarships, healthcare services, and religious development initiatives.   The study also identifies key challenges such as limited public awareness of zakat obligations and uneven distribution coverage in certain areas. Nevertheless, competent zakat administrators and well-designed empowerment programs serve as major supporting factors. This study confirms that productive zakat management through BAZNAS Situbondo holds significant potential as an instrument for sustainable local economic development and community empowerment.

    Penetapan Harga Jual Beli Pohon Bonsai Di Desa Curah Kalak Kecamatan Jangkar Kabupaten Situbondo Dalam Perspektif Ekonomi Islam

    This article analyzes the determination of buying and selling prices of bonsai trees in Curah Kalak Village, Jangkar District, Situbondo Regency from the perspective of Islamic economics. The study employs a qualitative approach using normative–conceptual analysis supported by empirical data obtained from field observations and documentation. The analysis focuses on the conformity of pricing practices with Islamic economic principles, particularly fairness (‘adl), transparency, mutual consent (taradhi), and benefit (maslahah). The findings reveal that the pricing of bonsai trees is largely influenced by factors such as plant age, aesthetic value, maintenance costs, and market demand. From an Islamic economic perspective, the pricing practices generally reflect acceptable principles, as prices are determined through mutual agreement between sellers and buyers. However, certain practices still require improvement, particularly in ensuring clearer information disclosure to avoid potential uncertainty (gharar). This study contributes to the discourse on Islamic economic practices at the community level and provides practical insights for strengthening sharia-compliant pricing mechanisms in local trade activities

    Education, Innovation, and Knowledge Economy in Advancing Sustainable Development Goals: A Multidisciplinary Study

    The study investigates how key elements of the knowledge economy, human capital, innovation systems, ICT infrastructure, and institutional frameworks shape the performance of selected Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Drawing on theoretical insights from Endogenous Growth Theory, Schumpeterian Innovation Theory, and Institutional Theory, the research adopts a quantitative design using data obtained from 218 respondents across academia, public-sector agencies, and private organisations. A combination of exploratory and bivariate analyses, with multiple correlations, was applied to investigate these connections. The results reveal that human capital is the most influential determinant of SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). At the same time, ICT infrastructure is the strongest driver of SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure). Institutional fitness significantly contributes to SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and also moderates the effect of innovation systems on SDG outcomes. Reliability indices (mean Cronbach’s α = 0.87) and sampling adequacy tests (KMO = 0.81) confirm a robust measurement structure. The study concludes that strengthening the pillars of the knowledge economy facilitates broad-based progress toward multiple SDGs simultaneously. Consequently, policymakers should prioritise investments in education, digital technology, innovation ecosystems, and governance reforms to foster inclusive, knowledge-driven, sustainable development

    KOMUNIKASI DAKWAH KUA DAN HARMONISASI UMAT DI KECAMATAN SANDUBAYA

    This study aims to analyze and describe the communication strategies applied by the Sandubaya Subdistrict Religious Affairs Office (KUA) in promoting religious moderation to create harmony among religious communities in the region. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through participatory observation, indepth interviews with KUA officials and community leaders, and documentation. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to ensure the validity of the findings. The results showed that the Sandubaya Subdistrict KUA\u27s da\u27wah communication was carried out through the integration of two main approaches: da\u27wah billisan (verbal communication) and da\u27wah bil-hal (concrete actions). This strategy is implemented through three pillars of activity, namely: 1) Massive socialization in the “Kampung Moderasi Beragama” (Religious Moderation Village), 2) Institutionalization of moderate values in the social structure, and 3) Integration of inclusive creed material. This approach has proven effective in minimizing extreme understandings and strengthening tolerance in a pluralistic society. This study emphasizes the role of the KUA not only as an administrative unit for marriage, but also as a strategic facilitator in da\u27wah communication based on strengthening religious moderation at the grassroots level

    ARABIC LANGUAGE LEARNING FOR QUR\u27AN MEMORISERS

    Arabic language learning plays an important role in Islamic education, including in the context of Al-Qur\u27an memorisation programmes. However, Arabic language learning applied to Al-Qur\u27an memorisers is generally conducted in a generic manner and has not been designed according to the specific needs of the memorisation process. In fact, huffaz require a pedagogical approach that can support accuracy of pronunciation, strengthen memorisation retention, and facilitate recognition of language patterns in the text of the Al-Qur\u27an. This study aims to examine the urgency of developing Arabic language learning specifically designed for Qur’an memorizers as a supporting approach in the tahfiz process. This study uses a qualitative method with a library research approach through analysis of relevant literature on Arabic language learning and Qur’an memorisation. The results of the study indicate that Arabic language learning that is oriented towards Qur\u27anic vocabulary, recognition of sentence structure in verses, and contextual basic meaning is more relevant to the needs of huffaz than general Arabic language learning. Arabic language learning in this context is not intended to replace other disciplines of Qur’anic studies, but rather serves as a pedagogical foundation that supports the effectiveness and sustainability of Qur’an memorisation
