Study of concrete cloth used in Civil Engineering Works
In this paper properties of flexible concrete sheet have been developed. The traditional concrete has a property of high brittleness and low flexural strength so to improve this deficiency flexible concrete sheet is prepared. We have used traditional ingredients of concrete and the results have proved to be increased flexibility of concrete
Analysis of Water Content in Bricks Using FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) Analyzer
Each body, structure and material vibrates with certain frequency. It is necessary to know the nodal frequency of certain body, structure or material to know its certain characteristics like damping, resonance frequency, density, body features etc. It is useful for improving the design of a structure and reliability of the structure in design point of view. The vibrating characteristic of a specific body depends on its geometrical features like its length, breadth, height etc. Such a material in construction industry is brick.Brick is one of the most used structural materials, so it is necessary to identify its durability and reliability before use in construction. Water absorption is one of the property of all types of bricks, the allowable water absorption for standard brick, after immersion in cold water for 24 hours, should not be more than 20 percent of its weight up to 2nd and 3rd class bricks and 15 percent by weight for higher class brick. So it is necessary to measure the water content of bricks before using in field of construction to avoid any problems. The system we are using to measure the water content of brick is natural frequency, which is new in field of construction. Natural frequency is defined as the frequency within which the system vibrates when it is not intended to a repeated or continuous cycle of external force. The basic idea behind this technology is that modal parameters of brick like (geometrical parameters, material properties) are the functions of the physical properties of the brick. Variations in the physical properties will cause in the variations which are measurable in the modal properties. By use of natural frequency to detect water content will be very useful for onsite detection of moisture
Testing Tool: Offensive Server Side Security Analyser
The main purpose of making this tool is that administrators are not aware of many recent attacks like Symlink attack, obfuscated back dooring etc. So, our tool will effectively help them in finding the vulnerabilities. We have planned to design a server side penetration application that will effectively analyse all loopholes and help the server side administrator to secure his server. Ideally, this tool will work on local host and will operate through web browser. This tool will be able to test vulnerabilities in any server hosted on windows or any flavour of Linux
Bluetooth Based Optical System for E-Measurement (Bose)
To ease the measurement of electrical parameters while troubleshooting and testing the system is made easier with the help of Bluetooth based optical system. Parallel actions like monitoring and measuring are quite risky while working on electrical circuits. There are chances for loss of focus which may lead to inaccuracy or even physical damages. Visualization can be enhanced, when the readings are projected at the glasses worn by the operator. It supports the operator to concentrate on the circuit. Our project aim in developing such device which can be used for Visualizing the parameters as then multimeter reads
Design and Manufacturing of steering system for ATV
Steering system is used to steer the vehicle according to need. In order to design a steering system it is important to recognise and compensate the forces due to tracks. Steering system of an ATV needs to be efficient as far as the parameters like rigidity, weight, spaces are concerned. As we are designing a steering system of ATV we need to consider a rough terrain. All the forces and torques encounter during the run are considered in order to design the mechanisms which will sustain these rough terrains. As the vehicle needs to be frequently steer in any direction so it is necessary that the mechanism should be responsive and also sustain the fatigue loads due to terrain. Also the steering wheel is designed with consideration on steering force. All the findings and values of the steering report is given in this paper
"SHAPE OPTIMIZATION OF ‘PANCAKE’ TYPE LOAD CELL USING TAGUCHI METHOD"
This paper emphasizes onthe shape optimization of ‘pancake’ type load cell to reduce its weight without exceeding the permissible strain. A simple model of strain gauge based ‘PANCAKE’ type load cell is considered for finite element method (FEM) and Taguchi method was employed for performing optimization to find outthe maximum sensitivity and minimum volume. This paperpresents the model of 'PANCAKE' type load cell before optimization and finally obtained optimized Model. Then, the results are validated using Photo elasticity technique with a suitable instrument. By using these tools the designer can develop and modify the geometry of ‘pancake’ type load cell before finalizing
Analysis and Modeling of Human Body When Exposed to Automotive Vehicle
Vibration is one of the important considerations in design. Nowadays, almost every family has the car. So, it becomes most important to study the vehicle vibrations. Analysis of human body physical model experimentally when situated in automotive vehicle. The model fabrication is done on the basis of comparing real human body parameters with human physical models used in the ISO 10068:2012 standard. This article revealed effect of vibration transferring to the specific parts of human body due to vibration transferring from Seat to Height (STH) and from Hands on steering. The focus of the present study was to determine the vibration output from fabricated model. The vibrations as input to the model are from automotive vehicles. The input verses output vibration characteristics will be useful to study effects of vibration on human health. The human body is considered as a simple spring, mass, damper system for analysis. This multi body model representative of the automotive postures found in the literature were investigated, one with and the other without a backrest support. The model was modified to suitably represent the different automotive postures with and without backrest supports, and validated by various experimental data from the published literature pertaining to the same postural conditions on the basis of the analytical study and the experimental
Design of Suspension System for an All-Terrain Vehicles
The main agenda of this paper is to study the different parameters or characteristics of suspension system of an ATV. It is very much important for the suspension system that the wheel should be in contact with road surface, because there are some forces acting on the vehicle from downside, is referred as ground forces or road forces. We have designed front suspension as an A-Arm type and that of rear as an H-Arm type. Both the suspension systems are independent suspension systems. For these types of suspension systems, we required to calculate the important parameters like ride rate, roll rate, natural frequency, wheel rate, motion ratio, spring rate, damping ratio and factor of safety. By calculating all the parameters further we have done analysis of this parameters by solid work software and LOTUS Shark
Object Recognition Using Perspective Glass For Blind/Visually Impaired
Perspective glass is wearable pair of glass which is designed for blind people which helps them in resolving a major difficulty they face such as identifying the objects or obstacles present before them during walking. The Perspective glass consists of a raspberry pi board, 5mpcamera, ultrasonic sensors, buzzer, headphone, power source. This glass is controlled by a Power button which when pushed ON, will take pictures of the surroundings with respect to the position of the person wearing it. The clarity and the resolution of the picture purely reside on the camera used. The captured information is transferred to the application software which is manually built with the help of Fire Base application. The transferred data is then analyzed with the help of library files that are interfaced to the application via Neural Network “Tensor Flow”. Finally the captured image is recognized with the help of Tensor Flow, and the information regarding the object is given out as a voice output to the person via speaker/headphones. All the components are interfaced to the Raspberry pi board which act as the central processing unit. It has the overall control on this setup. In addition to that an Ultrasonic Sensor is connected to the setup which when sensing an obstacle within a particular distancze of 3 meter, will produce a buzzer sound instantly giving a caution alert to the blind person. The overall setup is powered through an external power source (power bank). These Smart Glasses for Blind people is a portable device, easy to use, light weight, and user friendly. These glasses could easily guide the blind people and help them in better handling of obstacles.
Review on Cross Layer Design Approach
Internet has become everyday utility. Internet is ubiquitous. Cross-layer approach is considered hugely in mobile networks because of the layered approach inability to give the required performance. There are many trade-offs associated with the use of Cross-layer approach. It breaches the basic principles of layered approach and may compromise the robust nature of the Internet. In this article, justification the role of Cross-layer approach is presented, and difficult analysis of it is done to identify its limitations
