    This research is a need for benchmarks for the ISMUBARIS learning method in Muhammadiyah schools. In this case the focus is on curriculum development and approaches to learning language skills. In order to strengthen students with the tools to study Muhammadiyah Islamic knowledge, science and technology. The number of schools in Muhammadiyah with various qualities of teaching human resources means that the results of ISMUBARIS learning cannot be measured. Quality that is not measured properly results in educational outcomes at Muhammadiyah schools whose specialty is Ismubaris education (Islam Muhamamdiyah in Arabic and English) and even its development now into ISMUBARISTIK (Islam Muhamamdiyah in Arabic and English and information technology and computers) has not yet achieved expectations as a characteristic. typical skills that can be excelled

    English Teacher Agency in Implementing of HOTS-Based Learning: A Case Study at a State Islamic High School in Mataram

    Higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) are crucial for students when dealing with intense global competition. In the Indonesian education context, the recent high school national curriculum requires that students develop HOTS an important component of Pancasila student character. The curriculum implies the importance of the agentive role of teachers in implementing HOTS-based learning. However, studies on teacher agency in HOTS-based English language learning, especially in the Indonesian context, have remained under-examined.  This study aims to explore teacher agency in responding to a policy mandate to implement HOTS-based learning in local English language classrooms in Indonesia.  This study uses a sociocultural theoretical lens to examine teacher agency in responding to HOTS-related policy. Using a case study approach this study was conducted at a state Islamic high school in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara. Two English teachers were purposively selected to be the participants of this study. This qualitative study employed observations and interviews as the techniques of data collection. The result found that the teachers exercise their agency by partially implementing HOTS-based learning as influenced by their knowledge of HOTS, experiences and pedagogical skills, and sociocultural condition of the students and the implication of this study is that support from policymakers, school leaders, and colleague teachers is needed for teachers to play their role actively in the HOTS policy reform

    It quite a lot of efforts for teachers to create a fun environment in the english classroom, especially for young learners. It's thought that young learners learn in their own unique ways. Teachers must effectively manage and arrange the class since youngsters differ in their traits from one another. Storytelling is one of the most efficient strategies for raising young learners’ reading ability in the teaching of languages. For the reason storytelling is entertaining, captivating, and increases students' interest in both hearing the stories and recounting them, it has been shown to be more successful in teaching languages than typical teaching materials. In the meanwhile, reading is an essential part of life as it enhances cognitive function, expands knowledge, and sharpens memory. This study of the literature critically focuses at the storytelling strategies that have been indicated in the literature to be useful for helping young learners advance their reading skills. By examining empirical studies and theoretical frameworks, this review identifies key factors contributing to The impacts of storytelling strategies and Storytelling as a strategy in advancing reading ability. The outcomes from this comprehensive analysis enrich our comprehension of how storytelling influences the diverse aspects of reading skills among young learners

    Biography of Allᾱmah Sayed Abdullah Bilᾱdῑ Bushehrῑ and Introducing the Commentary of "Ᾱyᾱt al-Takwῑn"

    Allᾱmah Sayed Abdullah Bilᾱdῑ Bushehrῑ was one of the jurists (faqῑh) of Bushehr in the 14th century AH, whose student Ayatollah al-'Uzmᾱ Mar'ashῑ Najafi had permission of narration by him in 1256 AH. Great sheikhs such as Muhaddith Nourῑ, Sheikh Muhammad Tahᾱ Najaf, Sheikh Muhammad Hassan Najafῑ Sᾱhib Jawᾱhir, and Kulainῑ are seen within his narrative ways. Allᾱmah Bilᾱdῑ had more than eighty works, of which Ᾱghᾱ Buzurq Tehrani has mentioned forty-one titles in Al-Zarῑ'a ilᾱ Tasᾱnῑf al-Shῑ'a. Based on library sources and descriptive-analytical method, this research has dealt with a comprehensive introduction of the character of Allᾱmah Bilᾱdῑ Bushehrῑ, his biography, as well as, the commentary of "Ᾱyᾱt al-Takwῑn". Findings indicate the abundance of his writings in different fields, showing the extent of his knowledge, his involvement in various sciences, his high scientific status, and his attention to day issues, so that he has writings on most Islamic subjects and even experimental sciences. Study of his commentary of "Ᾱyᾱt al-Takwῑn" also shows that Allᾱmah Bilᾱdῑ's method in the thematic interpretation of the Qur'anic verses is a combination of the methods of the Qur'an to the Qur'an, traditional and scientific interpretations. He has also used Imams' supplications, especially Al-Sahῑfah al-Sajjᾱdῑyyah and poems of poets such as Movlavi. In fact, this commentary discusses scientific issues and expresses day points in various scientific fields such as chemistry, physics, biology, geology, and medicine, which shows his mastery of modern sciences

    Gender Injustice Againts Bimanese Women and Their Resistence in Nika Baronta’s Novel

    This research aims to explain the form of gender injustice experienced by Bimanese women during the Japanese colonial period (1942-1945) and the form of resistance in the novel Nika Baronta by Alan Malingi as a research source. This research type is qualitative research with descriptive method. The data collection is done with three stages, namely categorization, tabulation, and inference. Analysis of the data used feminist literary criticism with a focus on looking at literary works as a female reader. The results showed that there are gender injustices in the form of stereotypes, violence such as verbal violence and sexual violence, subordination, and marginalization of Bimanese women as depicted through the main female characters in the text. In addition, there is also resistance to gender injustice against Bimanese women such as the Bima sultan's policy of Nika Baronta as a form of macro resistance and dressing up like grandmothers and hiding in the attic as micro resistance

    Child marriage remains a challenging issue in Indonesia to this day. Childhood should be a critical period for physical, emotional and social growth before they enter adulthood. To prevent the occurrence of these cases, especially child marriage, various institutions in Indonesia provide counseling facilities or become a place to consult about family problems. One of these institutions is the Family Learning Center (PUSPAGA) which is under the auspices of the Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection and Family Planning (DP3AKB).This study aims to analyze the use of feminist therapy as an effort to prevent child marriage in the community of Bantul Regency, which has experienced a fairly high increase every year. This research method is qualitative with data collection through interviews. The results and discussion of this research are analyzed by the researcher and presented as follows:1. Based on the understanding of the concept of gender by the counselor, Gender is considered as a social formation that regulates the roles and interactions between men and women through the socialization process, establishing roles, rights, obligations, and responsibilities in the context of production and reproduction. 2. Feminist Therapy in Child Marriage Prevention, Counselors who have a gender orientation and use a counseling approach create feminist counseling, an approach that emphasizes the importance of equality and efforts to achieve it

The purpose of this research is to analyze and explain the form of ecocide that occurs in the novel Cerita Bumi Tahun 2683 and to reveal the impact of ecocide through the theoretical study of ecocritical discourse analysis. This research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing data from the novel Cerita Bumi Tahun 2683 as its primary source. The result of this research is that the novel Cerita Bumi Tahun 2683 contains a form of ecocide and the impact of ecocide that threatens the environment and other living things.

    This article discusses the Arabic language learning strategy for elementary school graduates at Pondok Pesantren Yusuf Abdussatar, Kediri Lobar, West Nusa Tenggara. The background of this research is based on the importance of mastering Arabic as a means of communication and understanding religious texts in Islamic boarding schools. However, elementary school graduates who enter pesantren often have limitations in Arabic language skills. Therefore, effective learning strategies are needed to facilitate their understanding. This article examines the various methods used, ranging from the communicative approach, context-based learning, to the use of interactive media and a supportive learning environment. This research uses qualitative methods with observation, interview and document analysis techniques. The results show that the applied learning strategies succeeded in improving students' learning motivation and their Arabic language skills, especially through the combination of theory and hands-on practice. In addition, the active involvement of teachers and the support of an intensive boarding school environment play an important role in the success of the learning process. This article recommends further development on the integration of technology in Arabic language learning to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of learning in Islamic boarding schools

    The Correlation Between Students’ Anxiety and Their Speaking Ability in EFL Classroom

    The objectives of this study were to identify students' anxiety levels and to investigate the relationship between students' speaking anxiety and their speaking ability in EFL classes. This study is quantitative research in the form of correlation research. The participants were 30 eleventh-grade students at one of senior high school in Yogyakarta. The data were collected using a questionnaire and a speaking test. The questionnaire was employed to assess the student's level of anxiety, while the speaking test was utilized to gauge the extent of their speaking proficiency in the EFL lesson. In addition, the researcher employed SPSS 27 to examine the correlation between students' anxiety levels and speaking proficiency.The results of the questionnaire showed that most students have a high level of anxiety when speaking in the EFL Classroom. Some factors that cause students' anxiety when speaking English in EFL classes are lack of confidence, shyness, fear of speaking inaccurately and fear of negative evaluation. Furthermore, the result of the hypothesis test showed that the significant value is 0.025. It showed that the significance value is lower than 0.05. It can be said that Ha is accepted where there is a relationship between students' anxiety level and their speaking ability. The relationship between the two variables is a negative relationship with a Pearson Correlation coefficient value of -409. It indicated that when students have a high speaking score, their anxiety level will be low. Conversely, if students have a low speaking score, it shows that they have a high level of anxiety. Moreover, the strength of the relationship between variable x and variable y is a moderate correlation because it has a coefficient value of 0.409, which is between 0.40 - 0.59
