Combating drug trafficking has become an urgent global challenge, threatening not only public health, but also social, economic and political stability in many countries. In this context, international cooperation, particularly between Indonesia's National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), is crucial. In 2013, the number of drug cases revealed in Indonesia increased significantly, signaling an escalation of the problem that requires serious handling. Although narcotic drug cases increased, psychotropic drug cases decreased. However, the handling of hazardous materials is also in the spotlight with an increase in cases revealed. BNN's collaboration with UNODC in 2017 marked an important step in Indonesia's drug eradication efforts, covering various aspects from law enforcement to rehabilitation. An in-depth case study is needed to evaluate the success and complexity of the challenges in this cooperation. It is hoped that this research can provide a better understanding of the impact of the role of international cooperation between BNN and UNODC in drug eradication efforts in Indonesia, which has important implications in reducing drug trafficking and its negative impacts

    Get PDF
This quantitative study examined the impact of family influence, peer influence, social influence, subjective norm, financial literacy, and attitude toward saving on the saving behavior of 216 Gen Z respondents in Surabaya, employing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Moderated Regression Analysis using AMOS & SPSS 26. The findings reveal that family influence, peer influence, financial literacy, and attitude toward saving significantly impact saving behavior. However, contrary to expectations, social influence and subjective norm did not exhibit a significant relationship with saving behavior. Additionally, the moderation analysis indicated that there was a quasi-moderating effect on the variables of family influence, peer influence, social influence, and financial literacy, while attitude toward saving emerged as a predictor in the relationship between subjective norm and saving behavior. These results underscore the significant role of family influence, peer influence, financial literacy, and attitude toward saving in shaping Gen Z's saving behavior. Furthermore, although social influence and subjective norm did not directly affect saving behavior, the interaction between attitude toward saving and social factors proved crucial in shaping saving habits within this demographic. This research highlights the complexity of factors influencing saving behavior among Gen Z, particularly the financial aspects influenced by the environment and the way individual perceptions and attitudes respond

The Epistemological Foundations of Jihad Based on the Theory of Human Nature by Ayatollah Shahabadi

    Get PDF
The issue of jihad is one of the important topics in Islamic defensive thought, especially in Shia Islam, which has been referred to in numerous verses and hadiths. The jurisprudential works of scholars have addressed this issue due to its nature and the responsibility of jurisprudence in issuing fatwas and determining the duties of Muslims in the face of the onslaught of Islamic enemies. The conditions, limits, and dimensions of its structure have been investigated as a jurisprudential issue in light of textual and rational evidence. For this reason, serious criticism of this issue is not observed in Shia theological books. Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Muhammad Ali Shahabadi is one of the Shia jurists who has addressed this issue from a theological perspective in his books, and based on his renowned theory of human nature, he has considered jihad as a form of self-defense rooted in human nature. This article, with an explanatory and analytical approach using library sources, seeks to answer the question of whether, according to Ayatollah Shahabadi's theory of human nature, jihad in Islam has its roots in human nature as a defensive and deterrent strategy against aggressors, protecting Muslims from attacks on their lives, property, and honor, which God has placed like humans. Muslims, based on their principles, reject any use of jihad for the imposition of force and violence against their opponents who do not intend to attack them, by accepting the principle of respecting the rights of other religions and religious minorities
