Preservation of Jogja Batik Which Is Influenced by Naturalist Motifs
Jogja batik is an important part of Indonesia's cultural heritage which has high historical, artistic and cultural value. The focus of this article is the preservation of Jogja batik by adopting an art sociology approach to understand the interaction between art, culture and society in this context. Jogja batik conservation involves various stakeholders, including artists, craftsmen, cultural institutions, government and the community. This article identifies several key aspects in conservation efforts, including the central role of arts actors in maintaining traditions and promoting innovation, community involvement through education and cultural awareness, as well as cooperation between arts actors, cultural institutions and the private sector to expand the market and promotion of Jogja batik. The people of Jogja also prefer original batik motifs to motifs that have been deformed. For the people of Jogja, naturalist forms are more attractive, clear and easy to understand regarding the motifs used. The importance of education in understanding the cultural values contained in batik and developing innovation in design and batik production are also highlighted in this research. The sociology of art approach provides deep insight into how Jogja batik conservation is not only about preserving works of art, but also about maintaining cultural identity and encouraging active community participation in caring for this cultural heritage. Thus, preserving Jogja batik is not only the responsibility of artists, but also the entire community and stakeholders who are committed to maintaining the sustainability of this valuable tradition in an ever-changing era

Restorative Justice and Juveniles in Afghan Law
Methods for the resolution of disputes and offenses in Afghanistan have a long history. Although this field of study is considered modern in the contemporary era, informal methods continue to resolve the majority of cases to this day. An examination of the substantive and procedural laws of Afghanistan in light of restorative thinking reveals that Afghan legislators, by instituting necessary reforms within local councils, have sought to recognize *Jirgas* and reform councils, thereby facilitating the resolution of minor disputes through them. Consequently, this approach is most frequently utilized in matters concerning juvenile delinquency. The distinctive characteristics of children, such as their lower levels of discernment, understanding, and capacity for self-defense, necessitate enhanced protections compared to those afforded to adults. To prevent the labeling, victimization, and criminalization of children and adolescents, justice must be applied in a manner that better implements this differential system of justice. Restorative justice programs, by strengthening the sense of responsibility and the feeling of shame in the juvenile offender, facilitate reintegration into society and prevent their harm within the criminal justice process. The origin and foundation of restoring the criminal incident stem from the traditions and indigenous customs of various tribes throughout the world. Indeed, restorative justice has been a prominent model of criminal justice throughout human history and for all peoples globally. The Afghan legal system, under Article 25 of the Law on the Treatment of Offenses Committed by Children, proposes the use of reconciliation with specific limitations, such as the consent of the parties. These limitations include the offender's apology, the victim's agreement, and compensation for damages... This present article is the first scholarly work concerning restorative justice and juveniles in Afghanistan. Utilizing a descriptive-analytical method, it concludes that many of these restrictions conflict with the restorative perspective in restorative programs for juvenile proceedings on one hand, and with practical procedures in the courts on the other. Consequently, it is imperative for the legislator to act in accordance with criminal justice when drafting restorative laws, issuing decisions appropriate to the restorative nature, and utilizing such justice, ensuring alignment with criminal justice
AI Chatbots in Education: Benefits, Risks, and Misuse Prevention
Technological advancements, particularly the rise of AI chatbots like ChatGPT, are transforming educational landscapes, offering both significant opportunities and challenges. This paper explores the dual nature of AI chatbots in education, particularly focusing on their impact on students' writing skills and academic integrity. AI chatbots are found to enhance writing proficiency by assisting with organizing content, improving grammar, refining vocabulary, and fostering critical thinking. They also aid students in managing revision processes, providing instant feedback, and generating ideas, which helps in producing polished and comprehensive academic work. However, the widespread use of AI tools raises concerns about plagiarism, over-reliance on technology, and the potential for generating inaccurate or misleading information. These risks highlight the need for clear policies and strategies to ensure the responsible use of AI in academic settings. The paper advocates for AI literacy programs, transparent guidelines, and a balanced approach to AI integration, urging educators to use AI as a complement to, rather than a replacement for, traditional teaching methods. It calls for further research on the long-term effects of AI on cognitive development and creativity, as well as the ethical implications surrounding its use in education
The Role of Civic Engagement in Sustaining Wetland Environments: Evidence from North Banjarmasin District
The research aims to examine how civic engagement is actualized in the daily lives of riverbank residents and how the local government supports this process. It employs a qualitative case study method with data collected through field observations and interviews involving 32 informants. Supporting literature and administrative documents were used as secondary sources, and data validation was conducted using triangulation of techniques and sources. The findings show that Civic engagement in North Banjarmasin’s riverbank communities is reflected in collective action, deliberation, and communication, but faces challenges such as socioeconomic limitations, inadequate facilities, and low environmental awareness. Government programs provide a foundation, yet their impact is weakened by limited follow-up and inconsistent participation. Strengthening wetland sustainability therefore requires responsive government communication, better infrastructure, systematic follow-up, and the cultivation of collective awareness, enabling more consistent collaboration between institutions and local residents
A Literature Review on Islamic Banking Law: A Comparison with Conventional Banking Law
Islamic banking and conventional banking have fundamental differences in their principles and operations. Islamic banking focuses on justice, transparency, and risk-sharing, while conventional banking prioritizes efficiency and profitability. This research aims to analyze the comparison between both banking systems, the challenges faced, and their impacts on social welfare and economic stability. Based on the findings, Islamic banking offers a more ethical and sustainable solution, although it is still limited by public understanding and insufficient regulations. On the other hand, conventional banking, while more practical and accessible, often overlooks social and ethical values
The Conflict Between the Principle of State Sovereignty and the Enforcement of International Criminal Court Judgments
The conflict between the principle of state sovereignty and the enforcement of International Criminal Court (ICC) judgments arises when states perceive that the implementation of these judgments harms their sovereignty or diminishes their power and jurisdiction. Although in the 19th century, states voluntarily granted the Court jurisdiction to prosecute international crimes to establish international order, security, and peace in their relations, some countries consider the enforcement of ICC judgments to be contrary to their interests and thus do not implement them. Therefore, examining the conflict between the principle of state sovereignty and the enforcement of the Court's judgments is crucial in the international arena. Ensuring international order and security necessitates research on such a topic. The objective of this research is to identify the interveners in international order concerning the enforcement of the Court's judgments, in order to determine their conflict or interaction with the enforcement of ICC judgments. The present study, by examining the principles of state sovereignty and the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court, employs a descriptive-analytical method and utilizes library and internet resources to answer the question of whether the enforcement of the Court's judgments conflicts with the principle of state sovereignty. The research findings indicate that the enforcement of the Court's judgments is not only not contrary to state sovereignty but is also essential for respecting human rights and maintaining international order. States that do not act in accordance with the Statute and judgments of the Court do so due to their pursuit of power, economic interests, and the preservation of their political ideologies in interactions with other countries
