二重の虚構世界の詩学 : ペルグランとラモーの音楽悲劇『イポリットとアリシ』
The purpose of this study is to reveal how a masterpiece of French Baroque opera suggests in itself the origin of this new style of theater in particular by virtue of the elaborate coexistence of different theatrical genres in its structure. In 1733, the tragédie lyrique Hippolyte et Aricie (text by Simon-Joseph Pellegrin and music by Jean-Philippe Rameau) was performed for the first time. Earlier dramatized by Euripides, Seneca, Racine and Pradon, the story on which the opera is based concerns the forbidden and disastrous love of Phèdre, Thésée’s wife, for Hippolyte, her son-in-law. While recognizing a number of contributions by musicologists to the investigation of the remarkable musical innovations of Rameau, this study will place its focus on the preface and text by Pellegrin, further developing the study by C. Kintzler, who detected in the preface by Pellegrin the poetics of le merveilleux par excellence. This study emphasizes in particular the fictional duality of this opera with dual fictional genres, the tragedy and the pastoral, to which Kintzler has not given any sufficient attention. But it is this poetics of fictional duality, elaborated by Pellegrin and supported by the marvelous music of Rameau, which makes possible the mysterious pleasure of this opera, an aesthetic deep pleasure brought about by the reciprocal reflections between the tragic and the pastoral

This research investigates how financial support and caregiving for elderly parents are provided in contemporary Malaysia. Malaysia is an Islamic country where urbanization and globalization are having a marked impact. The percentage of the population over the age of 65 is still low; however, it is expected to exceed 7 percent by 2020.The questionnaire was administered to the students at University Putra Malaysia in February 2016. The resulting data regarding family responsibilities was analyzed by generation, gender, religion, and ethnicity. We found no significant differences by gender in providing financial support and caregiving. Also, regardless of ethnicity, there was no special expectation placed on the eldest child. The deciding factors regarding care responsibilities among the children are 1) who can afford to offer financial support, 2) who lives nearby or with the parent or parents, and 3) who is available to help.Malaysia has government-run universal health care. As for pensions, public employees benefit from an adequate old age pension. Also, the Employees Provident Fund(EPF), which is a voluntary retirement savings fund, covers employees who work for large corporations. Most elder care continues to be provided by families. For middle-income and wealthy families, it is quite common for live-in maids to take an important role in elderly care. Under these circumstances, children offer support to their elderly parents even if the parents are financially independent
『ロマン派』におけるハイネの両義性について
This thesis focuses on Heinrich Heine’s The Romantic School (Die Romantische Schule), written in 1835 in Paris with the intention of informing French readers about the history of literature in Germany, and attempts to illustrate various aspects of Heine’s ambivalent views on Germany and German culture.Already in his early years as the poet of Book of Songs (Buch der Lieder), for which he became well-known, Heine exhibited characteristics of ambivalence and dissociation of personality, which gave his poems sharp inner tension and distinguished them strongly. This ambivalence coupled with ironic style and bitter irony also lent the prevailing tone to The Romantic School. As a democrat, Heine did not hesitate to criticize without mercy the tradition and the culture of his own country. What his criticism mainly targeted were the remnants of the medieval and the firm control Christianity still held in Germany. Ironically, however, he could not help admitting that these things nourished him and that they remained indispensable parts of his own inner self.Heine’s ambivalence appears most clearly and most symbolically in his selfcontradictory evaluation of Goethe. Heine admonishes Goethe for his attitude toward the world and reprehends him by pointing out that he occupies himself only with literature and natural history research while being aloof from actual political processes. Despite this criticism, it did not prevent Heine from greatly admiring Goethe’s Faust and West-östlicher Divan as the most brilliant achievements of German literature.Heine’s ambivalence, with his affirmation and negation, can be criticized as a fundamental self-contradiction, but it cannot be denied that this ambivalence allowed him to avoid every dogmatism and gave his writings highly critical characteristics
