Figurative Language and Its Emotional Impact in YOASOBI\u27s The Book 1 Lyrics: A Semantic Approach
This study analyses the use of figurative language in The Book 1 album lyrics by YOASOBI through a semantic approach. Figurative language, including metaphor, personification, simile, and hyperbole, is crucial in enhancing song lyrics\u27 emotional depth and artistic expression. This research explores how these figurative elements contribute to meaning-making and emotional engagement in the songs. A qualitative descriptive-analytical method focused on semantic analysis of selected lyrics. The data consist of seven songs from the album The Book 1, which were analysed through document analysis to identify patterns of figurative language. Each instance of metaphor, personification, simile, and hyperbole was categorized based on its linguistic structure and contextual function within the lyrics. The findings reveal that metaphors in YOASOBI’s lyrics establish strong symbolic imagery by connecting abstract concepts with concrete objects. Personification is used to attribute human qualities to non-human entities, intensifying emotional resonance. Simile explicitly compares two distinct elements to clarify feelings, while hyperbole amplifies emotions to create dramatic effects. These devices collectively enrich the meaning of the lyrics, allowing listeners to experience a deeper emotional connection to the songs. The study concludes that YOASOBI’s use of figurative language enhances their music\u27s aesthetic and emotive aspects, making their lyrics more impactful and immersive

Analysis of Sea Surface Temperature Changes and Its Impact on the Coastal Ecosystem of Saugi Island, Pangkep Regency
Sea surface temperature (SST) is a key parameter in the study of marine ecosystems, which plays an important role in determining the biological and physical dynamics of waters. This study analyzes changes in sea surface temperature in Saugi Island and its impact on coastal ecosystems. Using spatial analysis methods through remote sensing using Aqua Modis satellite imagery, sea surface temperature data were collected from August to September 2024. The results show that sea surface temperatures vary between 30°C and 36°C, with an average reaching 31.3°C. This increase in temperature has the potential to affect the metabolism and reproduction of marine organisms, as well as worsen the condition of coastal ecosystems due to seawater acidification and salinity fluctuations. This study aims to provide insight into the dynamics of sea temperature changes and the need for mitigation measures to protect ecosystems and improve the sustainability of coastal communities. This study is expected to be the basis for developing strategies in dealing with changes in sea surface temperature that have an impact on coastal ecosystems with mitigation efforts of the temperature monitoring network and eco wave initiative
Social Determinants of Covid-19 Morbidity in Indonesia: Observational District Level Analysis
Since the COVID-19 pandemic globally struggled in late 2019, the global community has become aware that outbreaks of infectious diseases are associated with conditions beyond health factors, such as social, economic, demographic, geographic, and lifestyle. This paper aims to identify the influence of Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) on COVID-19 morbidity rates in Indonesia. The study analyzed morbidity cases during the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, namely the Delta variant wave. Multivariate analysis with linear regression was used to determine the predictors that affect COVID-19 morbidity in 128 districts/cities of the Java and Bali isles, which were controlled by the pandemic stages including pre, resurgence, decline, and post. Morbidity data was collected cross-sectionally from the National COVID-19 Task Force dataset and the social determinant of the 2021 Central Statistics Agency report. The number of health facilities is the most influential characteristic of the regency/city to COVID-19 morbidity at the pre-and resurgence-pandemic stages. The ratio of the immune population is the most influential characteristic when the pandemic experiences a decline stage; meanwhile, during the post-pandemic, the second dose of vaccination is the most influential characteristic. We recommended that testing, tracing, quarantine, and isolation intervention should be prioritized in the districts/cities with higher health facilities (pre- and resurgence-stage), higher herd immunity (decline-stage), and booster vaccination (post-stage). Social determinants of health are suggested to be used as a basis for predicting the risk factors for an outbreak of infectious diseases in a region and contributing to different SDOH factors in different outbreak stages

Identification of Land Use on Riverbanks in the Mamasa Sub Watershed of the Saddang Watershed
The increasing population has led to a growing demand for non-agricultural land, resulting in land use conversion. Often, land needs extend to areas designated as protected, such as riverbanks, road margins, and spring borders. The riverbank boundary is defined as the outer limit of a river channel designated as the river protection boundary. In recent years, the Mamasa Sub-Watershed (Sub DAS Mamasa) has experienced forest conversion into plantations and agriculture, impacting the hydrological function of the area. On the other hand, there is a lack of data explaining the functions of riverbank areas in the Mamasa Sub-Watershed. The objectives of this research are (1) to understand the land use along the riverbanks in the Mamasa Sub-Watershed and (2) to identify the conformity of land use along the riverbanks in the Mamasa Sub-Watershed with the Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 38 of 2011 concerning Rivers. The results of the land use identification along the riverbanks in the Mamasa Sub-Watershed include secondary forests (430.95 ha), primary forests (386.64 ha), mixed gardens (321.81 ha), rice fields (218.67 ha), fallow fields (179.25 ha), traditional vegetable gardens (194.65 ha), village settlements (51.83 ha), urban settlements (5.68 ha), coffee plantations (7.23 ha), cocoa plantations (17.93 ha), pine forests (59.60 ha), roads (23.51 ha), reservoirs (1.55 ha), shrublands (131.59 ha), bushes (28.94 ha), home gardens (18.88 ha), rock/sand expanses (3.73 ha), horticultural fields (9.86 ha), other open areas (2.37 ha), and an airport (0.41 ha). The appropriate land use along the riverbanks according to Regulation 38/2011 concerning Rivers is 1,043.01 ha (49.78%), while the non-compliant land use is 1,052.09 ha (50.22%)

HVSR Microtremor Analysis to Assess Subsurface Fault Characteristics and Geothermal Potential in Kepahiang
Kepahiang, Bengkulu, is an area with considerable geothermal potential, especially in the Air Sempiang and Babakan Bogor areas. This study aims to analyze subsurface fault characteristics and assess geothermal potential using the Horizontal-to-Vertical Spectral Ratio (HVSR) microtremor method. This passive seismic method is used to determine key geophysical parameters, including dominant frequency (f0), amplification factor (A0), shear wave velocity (vs), and primary wave velocity (vp), which are essential for characterizing subsurface geological structures and identifying geothermal reservoir zones. The results show that dominant frequency values in Kepahiang range from 1.24 Hz to 20.45 Hz, while the amplification factor varies between 1.29 and 7.22. vs values range from 121.61 m/s to 3251.79 m/s, and vp values range from 214.91 m/s to 6469.79 m/s. These findings suggest that the surface layer consists mainly of alluvium and hard sandy gravel, with thicknesses varying between 10 and 50 meters. The 3D subsurface model constructed from the data indicates the presence of fault-controlled geothermal manifestations, mainly influenced by the Babakan Bogor Fault and Bogor Fault. These faults facilitate the upward migration of geothermal fluids, forming surface manifestations such as hot springs, fumaroles, and altered rocks. The geothermal system in the study area is classified as a low-temperature geothermal system, mainly caused by residual magmatic heat from Kaba Mountain and Bukit Hitam Crater. This research provides important insights for geothermal energy exploration and geotourism development in Kepahiang. These findings serve as a scientific basis for future geothermal resource assessment, land use planning, and sustainable energy utilization
