Shipping Safety Performance Models on Solid Shipping Lanes: An Internal and Environmental Factors Perspective
The global shipping lane for international trade in logistics and maritime is a shipping lane that has a high traffic density. Shipping on congested shipping lanes has great potential for the risk of ship damage. To improve shipping safety on dense shipping lanes, the purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between ship\u27s internal factors and shipping safety performance on dense shipping lanes, analyze the relationship between environmental factors and shipping safety performance on dense shipping lanes and obtain a model of shipping safety performance on dense shipping lanes. The method chosen to achieve the objectives of this study is a quantitative method with the Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis technique with Smart PLS. The data of this research was obtained from the answers to a questionnaire that will be distributed to the crew of Indonesian-flagged commercial ships that have travelled through dense shipping routes, with a total of 150 crew members. The novelty of the research is a model of shipping safety performance in dense shipping lanes from the perspective of internal and environmental factors. The model shows the relationship of internal ship factors to shipping safety performance on dense shipping lanes by 30.9% and environmental influences on shipping safety on dense shipping lanes by 14.5%
Evaluating Forest and Land Rehabilitation Using Remote Sensing: A Case Study in Maros Regency
Remote sensing technology has become crucial in vegetation monitoring, particularly for assessing vegetation density. Despite its broad application, its use in evaluating land rehabilitation efforts remains limited. The increasing extent of degraded lands has underscored the importance of effective forest and land rehabilitation activities. Traditionally, evaluating these efforts involves direct site visits to monitor plant growth annually for three years post-planting, which is time-consuming, labor-intensive, and costly. According to rehabilitation standards, a program is successful if 75% of the planted vegetation survives until the end of the third year. This study presents an efficient alternative by evaluating a rehabilitation site in Maros Regency, using remote sensing technology to monitor planting success over periods of 15 years (2007), nine years (2013), and three years (2019). The evaluation utilizes multispectral drone imagery and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) analysis to assess vegetation density through multi-temporal analysis across wide areas. The findings reveal that the percentage of forested areas after three, nine, and fifteen years of rehabilitation activities was 24.6%, 3.1%, and 23.5%, respectively. This research demonstrates the potential for further application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle imagery in monitoring the success of land rehabilitation projects
Mewujudkan Indonesia Maju: Korelasi dan Relevansi Pemikiran Sartono Kartodirdjo terhadap Konsep Politik Inspiratif Mahfud MD
The purpose of this study is to analyze the relevance of Sartono Kartodirdjo\u27s thoughts in the concept and practice of politics shown by Mahfud MD. This research method uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The results of the study show that realizing an advanced nation cannot be separated from the role of the thoughts of revolutionary and adaptive national figures. Sartono Kartodirdjo has the idea that in realizing an advanced and modern country, it cannot be separated from the five principles of life that must always be applied. Mahfud MD, as a national figure who currently still exists in the national arena, has thoughts about the concept of inspirational politics that are in line with Sartono Kartodirdjo\u27s thoughts. Inspirational politics are politics that build justice, law enforcement, equality, and choose fair and honest leaders. The correlation and relevance of the thoughts of the two figures are important to study and apply to achieve common national goals. There is a close correlation and relationship between Sartono Kartodirdjo\u27s thoughts about the five principles of life to realize an advanced nation and Mahfud MD\u27s thoughts about inspirational politics. The thoughts of the two figures are also relevant to the current condition of the Indonesian nation, which requires united efforts in order to realize the nation\u27s ideals of becoming an advanced nation
Biofilter Effectiveness Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor Activated Carbon Combination in Domestic Wastewater Treatment on Barrang Island Lompo Makassar City
BACKGROUND: In Indonesia, such as on Barrang Lompo Island, much domestic waste is dumped directly into the environment, causing serious water pollution and threatening public health and the ecosystem. The use of a Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) biofilter combined with activated carbon can be an effective solution to this problem. AIM: This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the MBBR biofilter combined with activated carbon in reducing BOD, COD and TSS levels in domestic wastewater on Barrang Lompo Island. METHOD: The type of research used is quasi experimental designs by using a plan in the form of pre-test post-test. The population in this study is domestic liquid waste found on Barrang Lompo Island, and the sample is domestic liquid waste taken from the communal wastewater treatment plant on Barrang Lompo Island as a sample. pre-test and domestic liquid waste taken at the MBBR combined activated carbon biofilter outlet after processing as samples post-test. RESULTS: The research results showed that BOD levels had decreased by a percentage of 66.65% from the initial levels, COD levels had decreased by a percentage of 75.55% from the initial levels, TSS levels had decreased by a percentage of 45.3% from the initial levels. CONCLUSION: The MBBR biofilter combined with activated carbon is effective in reducing BOD and COD levels and quite effective in reducing TSS level
Identification of Bacteria Bacillus sp. as a Decomposer of Organic Contaminants of Domestic Wastewater in Kodingareng Island, Makassar City
BACKGROUND: Water pollution is a condition where waste is dumped carelessly into waters resulting from production activities or human activities. Domestic wastewater is the biggest cause of damage and pollution in coastal areas in Indonesia. AIM: This study aims to identify the presence of Bacillus sp. as a decomposer of organic pollutants in domestic wastewater on Kodingareng Island, Makassar City. METHODS: The type of research used is quantitative observational research with a descriptive approach. The sampling technique uses grab sampling technique. The sample in this study consisted of 6 samples. RESULTS: The research results obtained from the microbiological identification process in domestic wastewater from Kodingareng Island, Makassar City, namely that 5 samples contained Bacillus sp. and 1 sample contained Enterobacter aerogenes. These bacteria are able to decompose organic pollutants and the resulting domestic wastewater pH ranges from 6.0 - 8.2 while the temperature ranges from 26 - 29˚C, where this figure is the optimum pH and temperature range for the growth of Bacillus sp bacteria. CONCLUSION: The pH and temperature values of Bacillus sp. in domestic wastewater on Kodingareng Island, Makassar City, it was obtained that it met the optimum pH and temperature values for the bacteria Bacillus sp. Based on the identification results, it was found that the bacteria Bacillus sp. in domestic wastewater on Kodingareng Island, Makassar City
Profile of Sentinel 2 Vegetation Index as Impact of Forest Change: Case Study Enrekang Regency 2019 – 2024 Periods
Land cover change is one of the key factors influencing environmental quality and ecosystem dynamics, especially in areas experiencing pressure from land use and the growth of anthropogenic activities. The Indonesian Government’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the land-use sector by national FOLU Net Sink 2030. This study was conducted to provide a quantitative of the vegetation indices as a response to forest cover dynamic. The study showed that the SAVI and NDVI are able to describe the change of forest to other vegetated land cover. Meanwhile, EVI index only sensitive to the change of forest to settlement area. It could be concluded that monitoring of forest change could be done by utilizing vegetation indices from Sentinel 2 satellite imagery. However, it is also necessary to pay attention to variables such as weather data, pioneer vegetation on the shrub or bareland area, as well as band processing of satellite imagery that could affect the sensitivity of vegetation indices to land cover changes in an area
KRITIK SOSIAL DALAM FILM “ALEPHIA 2053” KARYA RABI’ SWEIDAN (TINJAUAN SOSIOLOGI SASTRA)
Penelitian ini menganalisis kritik sosial terhadap masalah politik, ekonomi, pendidikan, dan keluarga yang terkandung dalam film Alephia 2053. Film yang disutradarai oleh Rabi\u27 Sweidan ini merefleksikan “Arab Spring” di masa depan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kondisi sosial masyarakat dalam film Alephia, mengidentifikasi kritik sosial yang terdapat pada film Alephia 2053, menganalisis bentuk penyampaian kritik dalam film “Alephia 2053”.
Data dalam penelitian ini berupa dialog dari transkrip film dan visual adegan yang mengandung kritik sosial dalam film series “Alephia 2053” yang dirilis pada kanal Youtube Spring Entertaiment tahun 2021. Peneletian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik studi pustaka dan teknik catat dalam pengumpulan data.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kritik sosial terhadap berbagai aspek kehidupan dalam masyarakat Alephia. Kritik-kritik ini disampaikan dalam bentuk langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui naratif, karakter, dan elemen visual dalam film. Terdapat kritik terhadap sistem politik yang merangkum ketidaksetaraan, ekonomi, tantangan dalam sektor pendidikan, dan dinamika keluarga.

Pemodelan Regresi Spasial pada Tingkat Kemiskinan di Pulau Sulawesi
In regression analysis, the independence assumption of the error terms is often violated when working with spatial data. The 2023 poverty incidence data across regencies/municipalities on Sulawesi Island indicate the presence of spatial autocorrelation. This study aims to compare the performance of classical regression, spatial autoregressive model (SAR), and spatial error model (SEM) in modeling poverty incidence on the island. The regency/municipality-level data used in the study is secondary data published by BPS-Statistics Indonesia. The findings reveal that the SEM model provides more accurate parameter estimates compared to classical regression and SAR model. Factors that have a significant influence on the poverty incidence (Y) in a regency/municipality are life expectancy (X1), expenditure per capita (X2), and the error terms for the nearest neighboring regions (λ)
PELATIHAN PENGGUNAAN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE DALAM MENYUSUN BAHAN PEMBELAJARAN BAGI GURU PAUD DI KABUPATEN JAYAPURA
The educational challenges in Sentani, Jayapura Regency, cannot be overlooked. PAUD (Early Childhood Education) teachers in Sentani face several obstacles that impact the quality of learning, including limited human resources, insufficient training, and restricted use of technology. This activity aims to provide training to PAUD teachers in Sentani, Jayapura Regency, to enable them to utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in preparing adaptive learning materials tailored to the needs of early childhood education. The training was conducted at Kindergarten Kemala Bhayangkari 04 Sentani, Jayapura, from June 6 to June 8, 2024. The target group consisted of PAUD teachers in Jayapura Regency, with a total of 31 participants in attendance. The methods employed in this service activity included training sessions and workshops. The training covered fundamental AI concepts, AI applications in education, and practical implementation in the context of early childhood education. The evaluation methods used were observations and participant feedback. The results of the activity indicate that: 1) Participants were active and successfully completed the training sessions with excellent outcomes, 2) Participants\u27 understanding of the basic concepts of AI and its application in education significantly improved, 3) There was a notable increase in participants\u27 ability to implement AI technology, 4) The quality of the learning materials produced was rated 100% at a minimum standard of "good," 5) The training was deemed effective by the participants, 6) Participants\u27 confidence in using AI in their teaching practices increased. --- Tantangan pendidikan di Sentani, Jayapura tidak dapat diabaikan. Guru PAUD di Sentani dihadapkan pada beberapa tantangan yang mempengaruhi kualitas pembelajaran, seperti keterbatasan sumber daya manusia, kurangnya pelatihan, dan keterbatasan penggunaaan teknologi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada guru PAUD yang ada di Sentani Kabupaten Jayapura sehingga dapat memanfaatkan teknologi Artificial intelligence (AI) dalam menyusun bahan pembelajaran yang adaptif dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak usia dini. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dilaksanakan di TK Kemala Bhayangkari 04 Sentani Jayapura pada tanggal 6-8 Juni 2024. Kayalak sasaran adalah guru PAUD di Kabupaten Jayapura dengan jumlah yang hadir sebanyak 31 orang. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah metode pelatihan dan workshop. Pelatihan mencakup konsep dasar AI, aplikasi dalam pembelajaran, dan praktik penggunaannya dalam konteks pendidikan anak usia dini. Metode evaluasi yang dilakukan adalah observasi dan tanggapan peserta. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Peserta aktif dan berhasil menyelesaikan sesi pelatihan dengan sangat baik, 2) Tingkat pemahaman peserta tentang konsep dasar AI dan aplikasi AI dalam pendidikan meningkat, 3) Terjadi peningkatan kemampuan peserta dalam mengimplementasikan teknologi AI, 4) Kualitas bahan/perangkat pembelajaran yang dihasilkan 100% berada pada penilaian minimal cukup baik, 5) Pelaksanaan pelatihan dinyatakan efektif oleh peserta, dan 6) kepercayaan diri peserta meningkat untuk menggunakan AI dalam pembelajarannya
PENINGKATAN PENDAPATAN PETANI PADA KELOMPOK TANI CENDRANA 1 DAN 2 MELALUI PRODUKSI BENIH PADI VARIETAS GENJAH DALAM MENUNJANG KEMANDIRIAN PERBENIHAN DI KABUPATEN BARRU
Kelompok Tani Cendrana 1 dan 2 menghadapi tantangan rendahnya produktivitas padi akibat penggunaan benih berkualitas rendah dan kurangnya benih yang adaptif terhadap perubahan iklim. Hal ini disebabkan oleh terbatasnya ketersediaan benih unggul di Kabupaten Barru. Sebagai solusi yang ditawarkan, kedua mitra dilatih untuk memproduksi benih padi varietas genjah yang lebih resilien terhadap perubahan iklim. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan petani dan menunjang kemandirian perbenihan dengan memproduksi benih padi varietas genjah di Kelompok Tani Cendrana 1 dan 2. Metode yang diterapkan meliputi sosialisasi program pengabdian, pelatihan produksi benih unggul mulai dari awal hingga pemasaran benih serta para kelompok tani dilatih memproduksi kompos dari sumberdaya organik, serta dilakukan pendampingan pembuatan demplot perbenihan padi. Hasil yang dicapai menunjukkan bahwa Kelompok Tani Cendrana 1 dan 2 kini mampu memproduksi benih secara mandiri dan meningkatkan hasil panen. Pada Kelompok Tani Cendrana 1, hasil panen varietas Cakrabuana meningkat dari 3,05 ton/ha (kontrol) menjadi 4,14 ton/ha setelah pemupukan, sedangkan pada Kelompok Tani Cendrana 2, hasil panen varietas Padjajaran meningkat dari 5,2 ton/ha (kontrol) menjadi 6,7 ton/ha. Pendapatan yang semula Rp. 550.000.000,- kini menjadi Rp. 1.265.000.000,- Program ini berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan produktivitas padi dan kemandirian benih unggul di Kabupaten Barru. Dengan keberlanjutan program ini, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan pada Kelompok Tani Cendrana 1 dan 2.

ABSTRACT
Cendrana Farmer Groups 1 and 2 face the challenge of low rice productivity due to the use of low-quality seeds and the lack of seeds that are adaptive to climate change. This is due to the limited availability of superior seeds in the Barru District. As a solution, Cendrana Farmer Groups 1 and 2 were trained to produce early-maturing rice seeds more resilient to climate change. This community service activity aims to increase farmers\u27 income and support seed independence by producing early-maturing rice seeds in Cendrana Farmer Groups 1 and 2. The methods applied include socialization of the service program, training in superior seed production from the beginning to seed marketing farmer groups are trained to produce compost from organic resources, and assistance in making rice seedling demonstration plots. The results show that Cendrana Farmer Groups 1 and 2 can now produce seeds independently and increase yields. In Cendrana Farmer Group 1, the yield of the Cakrabuana variety increased from 3.05 tons/ha (control) to 4.14 tons/ha after fertilization, while in Cendrana Farmer Group 2, the yield of the Padjajaran variety increased from 5.2 tons/ha (control) to 6.7 tons/ha. The income that was initially IDR. 550,000,000 is now IDR. 1,265,000,000 This program significantly contributes to the increase in rice productivity and superior seed independence in the Regency.
