Multi-Layer Perceptron Decomposition Architecture for Mobile IoT Indoor Positioning
We develop a Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) Decomposition architecture for mobile Internet Things (IoT) indoor positioning. We demonstrate the performance of our architecture on an indoor system that utilizes ultra-wideband (UWB) positioning. Our architecture outperforms the following benchmark processing techniques on the same data: MLP, Linear Regression, Ridge Regression, Support Vector Regression, and the Least Squares Method for indoor positioning. The results show that our architecture can significantly advance the positioning accuracy of indoor positioning systems and enable indoor applications such as navigation, proximity marketing, asset tracking, collision avoidance, and social distancing
A Comprehensive Evaluation of Yacht Charter Service Concept: Influence of Voyager-to-Voyager Interaction on Service Satisfaction
The study attempts to evaluate yacht charter service attributes considering the service quality, customer satisfaction, and loyalty three-leg framework. Besides visited destinations, the service concept is enlarged with social servicescape dimensions of interaction quality and customer similarity for a holistic approach. A self-administered questionnaire was provided to 359 customers, and the relationships in the research model were tested via structural equation modeling. The results showed that satisfaction depends on the interaction quality, which is strongly related to the similarity between other customers, as well as the quality of the service elements and the attractiveness of the visited destination. This study presents a pioneering research attempt focusing on the influence of customer-to-customer interaction and customer similarity on yacht charter services. Testing the balance of payments constrained growth model in a VECM framework: the cases of Brazil, Korea, Mexico and Turkey
The aim of this study is to explore the empirical application of a previously unexplored procedure to systematically estimate and test the tenets of the balance of payments constrained growth (BOPCG) the model within a VECM framework. The three structural equations that constitute the BOPCG model are estimated as long run equilibrium relations using the Johansen cointegration analysis technique for Brazil, Korea, Mexico and Turkey over the 1980–2016 period. The BOPCG hypothesis is then tested in terms of non-linear coefficient restrictions on the cointegrating vectors. Hypotheses on the exogeneity of real exchange rate and the world income are also tested in terms of tests on the adjustment coefficients. Results provide evidence in favour of Thirlwall’s Law for the cases of Brazil and Korea
The Determination of Optimal Operating Condition For an Off-Grid Hybrid Renewable Energy Based Micro-Grid: A Case Study in Izmir, Turkey
Nowadays, off-grid systems, which do not require grid connection investment instead of grid connected systems, have become quite feasible. In this study, a feasibility analysis was carried out for a hybrid energy system using solar and wind energy sources to supply to uninterrupted electricity demand of a region with 100 villas in Izmir, Turkey. It has been shown that how changes cost of the hybrid energy system sizing according to the control strategies by using the HOMER software. In the paper, two different control strategies are determined as Cycle Charging (CC) and Load Following (LF), and then the control strategies are compared. According to the results obtained as a result of the simulations, it has been revealed that the research region to operate with CC can supply to the electrical energy demand with lower capacity system architecture. The CC was found to be more suitable for the research region than LF in terms of both Cost of Energy (COE) and Net Preset Cost (NPC)

Propose a Polynomial Time Algorithm for Total Completion Time Objective
n this study, we integrate deteriorate jobs with repair&maintenance activity on a single machine scheduling subject to total completion time. This work has more than one motivation. First, jobs are assigned to machines in an automated production line. Later, to schedule the maintenance activities, if needed, to prevent machinery from breaking down later. There are some important mathematical models to solve this combination. However, due to the complexity of the problem which is Np-hard, a polynomial algorithm should be needed for solving large problems. Therefore, this article introduces several polnomial algorithms to determine the order of things best. With using these algorithms, it will be possible to determine where to assign to the schedule, taking into account the number of maintenance activities required and their optimum total completion time

Examination of Prestigious Mass-Housing Identity via The Slogans: Cases in Izmir, Turkey
Purpose
The paper aims to make a critical examination of the current prestigious mass-housing projects through the promotional slogans to understand the relationships between the promotional and architectural strategies.
Design/Methodology/Approach
In the research, the archive-based surveys were conducted by utilizing the framework of the case study method. The data were collected from the websites and electronic catalogues of the cases and analysed comparatively to reveal the messages given by the promotions and manifested in the architectural formations.
Findings
The study makes categorizations for the slogans and architectural services of the cases, and proposes that the promotional and architectural identities of the projects refer to a template that provides the sale guarantee, and therefore, cannot be broken easily to present the alternative living manners.
Research Limitations/Implications
The study is limited with the 20 similar-scale projects with independent sections of more than 50 households, addressing to the high-income level with the prestigious or luxurious qualities, and built, used, or under construction in the period covering 2015-2021, in Izmir city-centre and peripheries.
Social/Practical Implications
In social respect, the findings point out the common interdisciplinary genes creating the templates of the consumer society by manifesting that the high price is related to the services provided within the housing settlement but not the quality of architectural solutions.
Originality/Value
The paper tries to uncover the possible effects of the slogans in shaping the mass-housing identity for the high-income level, and reveal the close relationship between the consumer society and promotion of architecture, which results in selling housing projects at high prices with the same promotional and architectural templates
