Distance Learning through ICT: Benefits and Challenges
No full textIn accordance with the directions of the Central Government, UGC is the sole regulating body in the country for distance education and it has been granting approval to the institutes to offer courses under certain guidelines. In this respect the role of ICT can not be ignored. More so for those who are unable to study in universities of their choices. In today’s word we must consider the objectives of education, the kind of technology infrastructure involved and facilitating policies to attain educational goal. Today India is the second largest market for e-learning after the US. ICT includes any communication device or application, encompassing: radio, television, cellular phones, computer, and network hardware and software, satellite systems etc. Learning through ICT can be classified in three main categories i.e. e’learning, Blended Learning, and Distance Learning. Notable initiatives towards this have been initiated in India. Apart from benefits its implementation is costly and integration into teaching is still in its infancy.
English Teacher Performance through Education Process-Standard Implementation (EPSI) using Peer Coaching-Grow Me Model (PC-GMM)
No full textThis study aims to improve senior high school English teacher performance in implementing Indonesia education national process-standard by using peer coaching-grow me model. It used quantitative and qualitative approch and conducted Kemmis & McTaggart action research model. The research result are: (1) peer coaching-grow me model implementation can improve the teacher performance in learning process of planning, implementation and assessment; (2) peer coaching-grow me model program will increase the education process in school if it was done continuously and collaboratively; and then (3) the English learning process will be more meaningful to students if the English teachers also continuously and collaboratively implementing this instructional model. Peer coaching activities which applies grow me model can improve English teacher performance in planning, implementation and assessment. This action model can improve English teacher performance stages of GLOW (means shines): galvanized (G) means, the teacher get energy and momentum because of he/she can see the objective clearly; liberated (L), means the teacher can differenciates something important freely; open-minded (O), means the teacher has openly ideas to any opinion and thoughts; and well-grounded (W), means the teacher has good comprehension about his/her job
The Role of International Criminal Tribunals and Courts in the Establishment of Post War Truth and Reconciliation
No full textThe end of war brings a period of chaos and confusion that, if not handled correctly, can lead to further political turmoil. After a catastrophic event like a war, there are repercussion that are complex, very personal and quintessentially human. Hence, the post war period becomes an extremely sensitive situation that needs the virtuosity of the International Organizations responsible for mitigating the disasters of war. This paper analyses this area by focusing on major events of the past and how the process of establishing truth and justice have fared. The concept of transitional justice is introduced and how a solely policy driven solution is inadequate. It concludes that there is a requirement for a process that legitimately endows justice from international bodies such as the International Criminal Courts and Tribunals, despite its many failures and drawback of the past.

Therefore teacher should have high academic, professional and emotional qualities in their daily classroom teaching. Moreover the professional success of a man mainly, depends on his up-to-date of professional knowledge, fullest devotion and dedication along with his efficiency and effectiveness. In the present day with the technical advancement, the qualities of teacher can be inducted only through proper teacher education programme. The programme should provide the emotional strength and well being to the student teacher who is the future teachers of the country. Teacher education is defined as “All formal and informal activities and experience that help to quality of a person to assume the responsibility as a member of the education profession or to discharge his/her responsibilities most effectively (Good, 1945, P. 409). It is observed that people in all organization seem to be concerned about the ability of people to know, to manage and to regulate their emotions. Cytogenetic and Genetic counselling in couples with Infertility-Metropolis Healthcare experience
No full textThis retrospective study aimed at finding out the different chromosomal abnormalities and patterns in the samples. All the samples received at department of Cytogenetics, Metropolis Healthcare laboratory, Mumbai during the period of Jan2015 to Dec.2016 had a previous clinical history of primary infertility. One thousand one hundred and eighteen couples (1108 females and 1108 males) were evaluated by doing chromosomal karyotyping and 68 (3.06) patients showed chromosomal abnormality in the form of balanced translocations, Robertsonian translocations and sex chromosomal abnormalities. Most of the sex chromosomal abnormality in females were in the form of mosaic pattern whereas most of the sex chromosomal abnormality in males where in the form of numerical form. Genetic counselling is an integral part of dealing with patients with genetic abnormality and appropriate genetic counseling can help the patient to avoid the birth of chromosomally abnormal baby and also opens the option of reproduction considering the overall contribution of cytogenetic abnormalities it is very important to know the chromosomal pattern of the couple as a base line investigation before going for ARTs. Innovation in Practice for Maximum Utilization of Library Resources

When there is no innovation, there is stagnation”. Innovation is acceptable everywhere if it is in a positive way. Innovation plays a crucial role in library development. It gives the user satisfaction as well as satisfaction to library professionals. Whenever innovation is being applied in the library, the ratio of utilization of library resources is increased. As per my knowledge, if we applied such ICT-enabled tools and techniques in a smart way and in a cost-effective way, we can definitely increase the usage of library. Ultimately, every institution wants the RoI (Return on Investment) in terms of money and proper utilization, whether it is government, semi-government or non-government. Such kind of ICT applications must be applied innovatively, which can reduce the cost and increase the accuracy and speed of routine library work. Normally, we discuss and write about such activities rather than put them in real practice. I have tried to make in practice such ideas with the use of ICT through which our library users can get variety of resources in more convenient and different ways. If we have to survive, if library has to survive, and if resources have to survive, we must use ICT applications and apply innovative ideas to stay alive in the current trends of computerization, digitization, and “innovatization”.

And research results are communicated through journal articles or in the form of conference / seminar papers both at national and international levels. Tourism has received a major boost in the past decades as Indian government has realized the huge potential it offers for long-term eco-friendly economic development which is also very relevant for pollution and global warming. So the main objective of this study is to develop rural tourism which is based on the exchange of culture through introducing the way of local livelihood and living condition, art, music, dance, and culture are sustained but also to encourage infrastructure development. Tourism is one of the most suitable options for creation of new employment opportunities. India is a magnum of diverse geography and cultures, offering 30 world heritage sites, 25 bio–geographical zones and attractive beaches. Tourism in India accounts for 6.8% of the GDP and the 3rd largest foreign exchange earners for the country with USD 18.13 Billion.
