A Sample Reduction and ANN Based Classification of Temporomandibular Joint Sounds
In this study, a portable sound recording equipmentalong with the user interface software is developed forTemporomandibular Joint (TMJ) sound classification. TMJ issimply known as jaw bone joint and problems arising fromproblematic joints known as Temporomandibular Disorder(TMD). TMD is a frequent disorder, it is so common that morethan two third of population have some kind and level of TMD.TMJ sound listening one of the diagnose methods by the clinicdentists. In the study mentioned TMJ sounds are collected byportable equipment. After collection of data, some signalprocessing and data reduction based on sample reduction isrealized. After obtaining relatively low point of data, ANN basedclassification of the sound waves are realized. Classificationsuccess rate is 78.9%
Incidence of Genotypes of Helicobacter Pylori in Oropharyngeal SCC
Helicobacter pylori (HP) is a well known gastric pathogen which has been recently detected in the oral cavity and saliva an also in oropharynx, especially in adenoid and tonsillar tissue (Wladayer´s ring tissue). Presented research has been focused on real-time PCR analyzing cagA and vacA genotypes of HP strains in tonsills and oropharyngeal cancer.
Methods The study was approved by the appropriate ethics committee.The tissue specimens of tonsillar cancer or tonsils were collected using sterile instruments at the beginning of surgery.Biopsies were immersed into Remel MicrotestR M4RT and transported to the laboratory for real-time PCR analysis. TaqManTM hybridisation probes were developed for cagA , , vacA m1 and vacA m2, LC hybridization probes for vacA s1a, vacA s1b, vacA s2 specific sequence detection.
Findings
Majority of isolates lacking cagA gene coding CagA protein as the main factor of Helicobacter pylori pathogenicity as well as one type of vacA gene s1b m2 found in 17 from a total of 41 isolates (41.46 %) and in 66.66 % of tonsillar cancer.
Interpretation
Colonization of lymphoid tissue and malignancies in oropharyngeal area by different genotypes of Helicobacter pylori seems to be evident. Long-term survival of bacteria in deep tissue structures may influence immune system
Magnesium in Head and Neck Cancer
We investigated the hypothesis that patients with advanced head and neck cancer exhibit a decreased serum concentration of magnesium compared to the normal population. In July 2013 we measured the magnesium serum concentration of 18 patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck region. The control group consisted of 17 patients received tonsillectomy during the same period. Overall 14/18 patients with cancer have had Magnesium serum concentrations < 0.80 mmol/l (78%). The control group showed only two patients (12%) with serum levels below the cut off. This small controlled study supports the hypothesis that decreased Magnesium serum concentrations are typical for patients with advanced head and neck cancer. We could not show, that hypomagnesaemia is prognostic biomarker in head and neck cancer treatment
Phytoremediation Study of Oil Spill Site Using Common Nigerian Vegetables
Seven days old water leaf (talinum triangular) and pig weed (amaranthus viridis) were employed to clean up an oil spill simulated site. Samples of the crude oil, soil and plants were analysed for heavy metals before, during and after the experiments using X-ray Fluorescence techniques. Different parts of the plants such as roots, stems and leaves were harvested and analysed fortnightly till the end of the ten weeks experiment. The results obtained revealed mean concentration (mg/Kg) of heavy metals were of the range: Pb (0.01-1.42); As (0.02-2.02); Cd (0.01-3.42) Cr (0.03-6.14); Ni (3.21-6.42); Mn (4.12-8.46) and V (10.04- 1.22). High values of Bioaccumulation Factor and Translocation Factors were evaluated for different metals showed that the amaranthus viridis is an efficient hyperaccumulator. Phytoremediation technique offers the best panacea to remediate vast oil spill lands especially in Niger Delta of Nigeria
Characterization of Aeromonashydrophila Type Strains Isolates from Industrial Wastewater Hilla - Iraq
Twenty one strains of motile Aeromonas species were isolated fromIndustrial wastewaterAl- Furat Company Hilla- Iraq. The Study aimed to evaluate the possible ecological effect of the industrial waste water released from Company . Samples were monthly taken started from may 2013 to October 2013 . The results showed that the natural properties of waste water were variable due to the nature of the materials dumping in the derange stream . It was found the pH ranged from (1.5 - 5.2 ) , conductivity reached to 3100 Ms / cm while the higher concentration of COD, TDS , Cl , SO4 , Ca and Mg were 140, 1953, 335, 738, 200 and 104 mg/l respectively. A. hydrophila suspected isolale was screening by traditionally tests and then confirmed by Vitek 2 system and PCR technique (16S r RNA gene). Inthis study A. hydrophilstrains are highly resistance to several antibiotics that was considered as pathogen for human being causing several disease

Improved Trust Prediction in Business Environments by Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference Systems
Trust prediction turns out to be an important challenge when cooperation among intelligent agents with an impression of trust in their mind, is investigated. In other words, predicting trust values for future time slots help partners to identify the probability of continuing a relationship. Another important case to be considered is the context of trust, i.e. the services and business commitments for which a relationship is defined. Hence, intelligent agents should focus on improving trust to provide a stable and confident context. Modelling of trust between collaborating parties seems to be an important component of the business intelligence strategy. In this regard, a set of metrics have been considered by which the value of confidence level for predicted trust values has been estimated. These metrics are maturity, distance and density (MD2). Prediction of trust for future mutual relationships among agents is a problem that is addressed in this study. We introduce a simulation-based model which utilizes linguistic variables to create various scenarios. Then, future trust values among agents are predicted by the concept of adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS). Mean absolute percentage errors (MAPEs) resulted from ANFIS are compared with confidence levels which are determined by applying MD2. Results determine the efficiency of MD2 for forecasting trust values. This is the first study that utilizes the concept of MD2 for improvement of business trust prediction

Fuel Consumption Tabulation in Laboratory Conditions
Environmental degradation has come about for a number of factors including the use of fossil fuels in vehicles for everyday use. This paper attempts to understand the relationship between fuel consumption and various engine performance parameters under laboratory conditions in order to see how various factors contribute to the overall fuel consumption. The framework for testing has been decided as the New European Drive Cycle (NEDC) given its various testing advantages against other driving cycles. A test rig was applied to simulate the NEDC under laboratory conditions. The findings from this study provide information how vehicular fuel consumption varies with such driving parameters as vehicle speed, acceleration, and throttle position. They can be used to predict fuel consumption under any real life driving conditions, which will contribute to reducing fuel consumption in future vehicle design.
