TQC (Total Quality Control), which is said to have contributed to the development of the Japanese post-war economy is now being influenced by the big innovational wave in the recent managerial environment. What Japanese QC (Quality Control) should be, which constructs the fundamental concepts of its activities, is forced to make a big paradigm shift. Objects and concepts of QC, which began during a low supply period, are confronting a series of problems and aspects of QC in big environmental innovations in economy, society and management for past fifty years. Especially, the big changing wave of industrial society over the past few renovational years, is raising various problems in QC field. TQC, the features of Japanese QC, which forms the foundation of Japanese management, is forced to change now. There are many problems related to QC field, such as magnification of quality objects, attaching importance to social quality, thoroughness of CS (Customer Satisfaction), enforcement of PL (Product Liability) law, applications of ISO (International Standardization for Organization) standards concerning the QA (Quality Assurance) system (ISO 9000s) and the environmental management system (ISO 14000s), and still more recent American industrial tendency which attaches importance to QM (Quality Management) and so forth. In this paper, I would like to discuss the meaning of the recent changes in QC concepts and the theoretical framework of Japanese QC.10KJ00000202960研究論文GENERAL STUDYjournal articl

An Analysis of a Local Newspaper's Reports on Latin America

    Get PDF
The author reported, in a previous publication, that both a numerical unbalance among regions and a bias in terms of type of writing can be observed in the foreign reports of the local newspaper Tokushima Shimbun, which is influential as an information medium for the people of Tokushima Prefecture. In this essay, he analyses topics concerning foreign reports on the Latin America region. The results seem to indicate that typical topics about Latin America tend to be reported by the local newspaper and this has to do, to some extent, with the readers' existing own impression of the Latin America region. Local newspapers do not have enough space to put many and even specific kinds of reports from developing regions, because of their social role of reporting on general topics for the majority of the local people. We, readers of the local newspapers, should, therefore, try to form our own impressions and opinions of developing regions rather than be biased by newspaper reporting and pay attention to try to receive diverse kinds of information from other sources.6KJ00000202953地域研究BUSSINESS COMMUNITY STUDYjournal articl

Today's global environmental problems are a serious matter, not only in the general society, but also in the business world. For enterprises, making environmental problems a top concern is said to be one of the most important management strategies. Business activities are closely bound up with the global environment as well as with the concerned community. Each enterprise should maintain respect for human life, and work toward a future society where the global environment is protected. Companies must strive to construct a new socio-economic system which is in harmony with global environment and leads to sustainable development. Regarding environmental management and environmental auditing according to ISO environmental standards, I would like to explain in this paper their respective trends and problems to be solved, based on the many problems which have recently been raised both at home and abroad.9KJ00000202954一般研究GENERAL STUDYjournal articl
