PENGETAHUAN ORANG TUA MERAWAT ANAK PENDERITA THALASEMIA
Penyakit thalasemia pada anak dan pengobatan yang dilakukan rutin dalam jangka waktu yang lama menyebabkan berbagai macam komplikasi seperti, pembesaran hati dan limfa, gangguan pertumbuhan, pubertas terhambat, hingga gagal jantung. Keberlangsungan dari proses pengobatan dan pencegahan komplikasi pada anak penderita thalasemia dipengaruhi oleh dukungan orang tua. Orang tua perlu dibekali pengetahuan yang baik, sehingga dapat memberikan perawatan yang baik bagi anak penderita thalasemia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran dari tingkat pengetahuan orang tua yang merawat anak penderita thalasemia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif non-eksperimen design dengan rancangan deskriptif survey. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 17 orang tua yang memiliki anak penderita thalasemia usia sekolah. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah nonprobability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengetahuan orang tua tentang perawatan anak penderita thalasemia diukur menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis univariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar tingkat pengetahuan orang tua yang merawat anak penderita thalasemia berkategori kurang yaitu sebanyak 8 orang dengan presentase sebesar 47,1%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah orang tua yang merawat anak penderita thalasemia belum memiliki pengetahuan yang baik tentang thalasemia. Perawat perlu memberikan informasi kesehatan khususnya tentang penyakit thalasemia dan pengobatannya kepada orang tua yang merawat anak penderita thalasemia.Kata Kunci: pengetahuan, orang tua, anak penderita thalasemi
PENGARUH EDUKASI PENERAPAN PERILAKU DISIPLIN 3M DI MASA GAWAT DARURAT COVID-19
Salah satu upaya untuk mengakhiri pandemi Covid-19, kontribusi seluruh masyarakat menjadi garda terdepan dengan menerapkan 3 utama yaitu wajib menjaga iman, aman dan imun. Hal ini memastikan peningkatan kesadaran dan kepatuhan masyarakat terhadap protokol kesehatan pencegahan Covid-19, yakni memakai masker, menjaga jarak dan menghindari kerumuman serta mencuci tangan pakai sabun (3M). Kebiasaan 3M harus membudaya agar mampu memenangkan peperangan melawan Covid-19. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari intervensi terhadap variabel penelitian adakah pengaruh edukasi penerapan perilaku disiplin 3M pada masa gawat darurat Covid – 19 pada warga Soak Simpur. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini melihat perbedaan mean (rata-rata) kelompok data yang dependen dengan menggunakan program komputer, analisa data dihitung dengan memakai Uji Dua Kelompok Berhubungan(Paired sample t test). Hasil penelitian yang didapat yaitu adanya perbedaan nilai sebelum dan sesudah intervensi menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon diperoleh p value = 0.000, karena nilai p < 0,05, maka secara statistik dapat dikatakan ada pengaruh edukasi penerapan disiplin 3M di Masa Gawat Darurat Covid-19. Simpulan penelitian edukasi penerapan disiplin 3M di Masa Gawat Darurat Covid – 19 dapat menjadi salah satu rencana intervensi tambahan bagi petugas kesehatan yang ada di masyarakat untuk membantu tugas Satgas Covid – 19 dalam menekan penyebaran dan angka kejadian Covid – 19 di lapisan masyarakat.Kata Kunci: Edukasi, Penerapan 3M, Covid - 1

The existence of the 5 M Health program activities has an impact on humans working and living at home which causes a sense of saturation so that many people seek independent activities that are useful with activities around the house by planting, gardening, raising livestock, etc. On the other hand, efforts to increase immunity in overcoming the transmission of the Covid-19 pandemic will also have an impact on increasing demand for food from animal protein. This has a positive impact on livestock rearing and results in increased production of livestock waste. This encourages the community to innovate and work together to utilize and benefit by processing livestock waste as an addition to the community's economy. This livestock waste business can be done by selling fertilizer as organic fertilizer, liquid fertilizer, granulated fertilizer, urine fertilizer and biogas residue and even with other processing it will produce fish feed made from using biogas liquid residual sludge. During the Covid-19 pandemic, many Indonesians have carried out activities to process livestock waste into fertilizers with various types and several packages that can add value to the community's economic value
Potensi dan Upaya Mempertahankan Kefektifan Beberapa Entomopatogen dalam Mengendalikan Larva Oryctes rhinoceros Linn. di Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit

(Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae) is an essential oil palm pest. In the field, entomopathogenic control is less than optimal because the environmental conditions are not suitable. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential and efforts to maintain the effectiveness of Metarhizium anisopliae and Entomopathogens Nematodes (EPNs) for controlling O. rhinoceros larvae in oil palm plantations. The research has been conducted in immature oil palm plantations in Indragiri Hulu, Riau. The study used a non-factorial randomized block design with five treatments and three replications (EPNs: palm fronds mulch + no watering, palm fronds mulch + watering, palm fronds mulch + gunny sack + watering, Metarhizium anisopliae: palm fronds mulch + gunny sack + watering and control). Application of M. anisopliae with conidia density (1x106) with a dose of 0.15 l/m2 and EPNs 20,000 ij/m2. The application was carried out at the breeding site of rhinoceros beetle by spraying using a knapsack sprayer in the afternoon. The results showed that the pathogenicity of EPNs and M. anisopliae to larvae was 70.00 – 76.67% on the 24th day after application. On the first day after treatment, there was the death of larvae by EPNs. Application of M. anisopliae on larvae achieved death four days after application. The process of pathogenicity of EPNs in larvae was faster than that of M. anisopliae. The results showed that EPNs and M. anispoliae had an excellent opportunity to control O. rhinoceros and could be developed as an environmentally friendly and sustainable biological control
Pengaruh Proses Freeze-Drying terhadap Viabilitas Streptococcus agalactiae pada Media Chitosan, Skim Milk, dan Media Kultur BHIB

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Streptococcus agalactiae bacteria are cocci-shaped bacteria, gram positive, catalase (-) and are pathogenic that can attack fish. One of the alternative to overcome the attack of pathogenic bacteria is by giving vaccines to fish. Vaccines can be made using the freeze-drying technique, which has the advantage of maintaining the quality of the drying results. This study aims to determine the technique of making S. agalactiae vaccines by freeze-drying on encapsulation media and to determine the viability of S. agalactiae on skim milk, chitosan and BHIB (Brain Heart Infusion Broth) culture media. The stages of making the freeze-dried vaccines include confirmation of S. agalactiae bacteria through Gram staining, catalase enzyme test, and detection of virulence factor genes based on cps L, cps J, and cps G genes. The vaccine was made using the freeze dryer method on chitosan encapsulation media, skimmed milk, and BHIB. The viability of bacteria in vaccine preparations was known based on the calculation of the total plate number. The test results showed the isolates were gram positive, coccus-shaped and catalase negative. The isolates were also confirmed to have cps L, cps J, and cps G genes. After 24 hours the total bacterial plate count in skim milk and chitosan medium was 8x1012 CFU/ml and 3.2x1012 CFU/ml, while in BHIB medium the number of colonies exceeds the calculation standard limit. Based on these results, the three tested media have potential as encapsulation media for S. agalactiae vaccine production
Populasi Spodoptera frugiperda di Lahan Jagung pada Pola Tanam Monokultur dan Polikultur

Increased yields on corn cropland are certainly an important factor in meeting the needs of other commodities besides rice. In order to maximize the management can not be arbitrary. It's just that there are some obstacles during its cultivation such as Spodoptera which damage crop yields, so it is necessary to carry out proper and maximum control. The main highlight on Spodoptera pests is S. frugiperda. Control of Spodoptera frugiperda can be overcome by the use of pesticides but the impact is not too good because it will kill natural predators. The right step can be with the management of polyculture cropping patterns. This is in the form of monoculture and polyculture. The purpose of writing this scientific paper was to determine the population of S. frugiperda in corn fields in monoculture and polyculture cropping patterns. The method used in writing this paper is a literature study method obtained from literature from books and scientific journals on the internet. Based on the results of the literature study obtained, it is known that cropping patterns are related to the life of S. frugiperda. Polyculture is more effective in preventing this pest from growing well than monoculture. Polyculture cropping patterns can help various kinds of insects increase so that competition between S. frugiperda and natural enemy insects can occur. It was concluded that the population of S. frugiperda differs depending on the crop pattern and it is more effective to use a polycultural cropping pattern interspersed with plants like soybeans to inhibit the population of Spodoptera frugiperda
Patogenisitas isolat bakteri entomopatogenik Bacillus thuringiensis diisolasi dari Spodoptera litura terhadap larva Plutella xylostella (Lepidoptera:Plutellidae)

Diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella is an important insect pest on plants belong to Brassicaceae family. Symptoms of attack is hollow leaves and leave dirt on them. If it is not controlled, the yield loss can reach 80%. Control by using biological agents entomopathogenic bacteria Bacillus thuringiensis may be used to reduce the population of P. xylostella. The purpose of research was to study the pathogenicity of B. thuringiensis isolated from cadaver of Spodoptera litura against P. xylostella larvae in the laboratory. The treatments were two isolates of B. thuringiensis encoded SlBt01 and SLBt03. The experiment was designed with a completely randomized design (CRD) separated between isolates. The treatment consisted of 5 treatments (including control) spore density and 5 replications. Observations were mortality rate and time of death of the test larvae. Results showed the highest mortality was in isolate SlBT01 (61.73%) and in isolate SlBt03 (56.66%). The lowest LT50 values of isolates SlBt01 and SLBt03 were 9.78 days and 9.14 days, respectively. Symptoms of infection in Plutella larvae are changes in body color and eventually die with symptoms of wet rot

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Dissemination of integrated pest control program (IPM) technology with biological agents needs to be carried out so that farmers are willing to adopt it. One of the determinants of adoption is farmer's perception about nature of innovation technology. This study aims to identify farmers' perceptions about IPM technology with biological agents. The research was carried out in Semarang Urban Village Bengkulu City in May-July 2021 involving 32 farmers. The location was determined purposively because it is the location for biological IPM displays. The biological agents used were consortium of bacteria Paenibacillus polymixa, Pseudomonas flourescense, and Bacillus subtilis for disease control and consortium of fungi Metharihizium sp and Beuveria sp for pest control. The data measured is the farmer's perception of the nature of innovation technology using Likert scale and analyzed with quantitative descriptive method. Data were collected by conducting interviews using a questionnaire. The results showed that farmers assessed IPM technology with biological agents are accordance with cultural values, provides benefits, is easy to observe but is quite complicated to apply and try out
Penerapan Sistem Budikdamber pada Pakan Probiotik Dalam Memperkuat Ketahanan Pangan di Era Covid-19

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Human needs for animal protein are increasing, but the availability of fish farming land is getting narrower. Fish farming also requires feed other than land, but fish feed is getting more expensive. Steps need to be taken to reduce feed costs and creativity for alternative cultivation areas, as well as apply appropriate techniques to meet animal needs in the Covid-19 era. This paper was to develop a bucket fish farming system on probiotic feed to increase food production in the community. The writing of this scientific paper uses a qualitative descriptive method. Descriptive method is a method used to create a sequential description of the relationship between the phenomenon under investigation and the results that are not expressed in numbers. Catfish rearing in 80 L bucket media for 30 days resulted in catfish SR 41–70%, fish harvest was 2440 g (71.76 g/head), and mustard harvest produced as much as 30 bunches. However, these results are not appropriate and it is still necessary to optimize the cultivation container in order to avoid death due to predators and fish that come out of the rearing container. The catfish cultivation system can be a potential solution for fish cultivation, especially in narrow areas and aquaponic vegetable growing media such as mustard greens as additional community food in the Covid-19 era
