Social Capital as A Pathway to Well-Being: A Study of The Cibulao Hijau Forest Farmer Group
Social capital was one of the key factors in the development process, as it emerged from social relationships and, when collectively utilized, could influence the level of well-being. Well-being in this context did not only refer to material needs but also encompassed spiritual and social aspects. This study generally aimed to analyze the relationship between the level of social capital functionality and the well-being of members of the Cibulao Hijau Forest Farmer Group. The study involved 35 group members selected using a simple random sampling technique. A quantitative approach was employed, supported by qualitative data. Data were collected through questionnaire distribution, in-depth interviews, observation, and literature review. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Spearman’s rank correlation test. The results showed a significant correlation—categorized as moderate—between the functionality of social capital and the well-being level of group members. These findings indicated that the functionality of social capital served as one of the crucial indicators in determining the well-being level of the Cibulao Hijau Forest Farmer Group
Pengelolaan Konten Publikasi Desa Wisata: Menciptakan Keunggulan Daya Saing dan Pengelolaan Berkelanjutan
The adoption of digital technology has a significant impact on tourism management. The results released by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) explain that tourism management needs to optimize the role of technology. However, many tourism managers have not implemented technology, including the management of publication content. Limited knowledge, lack of HR competency, and financial conditions are obstacles that arise. On the other hand, tourism managers who implement technology also face problems. The creativity of publication content and the ability to evaluate strategies are additional problems. This study aims to investigate the management of publication content in high-achieving tourist villages. This study uses a qualitative method through an interpretive perspective. Several high-achieving tourist villages in the Special Region of Yogyakarta and Central Java were selected as objects in this research. Qualitative analysis using the Miles Huberman method was used in this study. The results of the study explain that tourist villages can attract tourist visits through the creativity of publication content. This study produces findings on publication content management, including the need for the role of internal managers, the ability to choose themes and content ideas, the intensity of posts, the use of appropriate social media, and improving HR capabilities. The findings in this study are expected to be a role model for managing tourist village content as an effort to create sustainable management
Pengukuran Dampak Inovasi Sosial Berdasarkan Metode SROI dan Compass Sustainability Index Program KUBE Dalang Collection
Social innovation in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs requires significant investment, so it is important to measure its impact to assess its performance. This study aims to evaluate the impact of social innovation in the KUBE Dalang Collection program of PT PLN NP UP Tenayan in terms of economic, social, and environmental aspects, using the Social Return On Investment (SROI) value and the Compass Sustainability Index. The SROI value which shows the social return on investment of this program is 2,55, which means it is higher than the investment that has been made. The program also contributes to the emission of 984,67 tons of CO2 per year. The results of the Compass Sustainability Index analysis show that the biggest impact comes from the environmental aspect, with a percentage of 100 percent. Overall, the Compass Sustainability Index value reached 96,23 percent, which falls into the very high category
Karakter Fisikokimia Buah Melon Cantaloupe (Cucumis melo L. var. Cantaloupe) yang Dipanen Awal: Physicochemical Characteristics of Early Harvested Cantaloupe Melon (Cucumis melo L. var. Cantaloupe)
Melon cantaloupe (Cucumis melo L var. Cantaloupe) merupakan buah klimakterik sehingga cepat mengalami kemunduran kualitas setelah buah dipanen. Buah melon cantaloupe yang dipanen awal setelah matang fisiologi dapat memperpanjang umur simpannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh fisikokimia buah melon cantaloupe yang dipanen awal selama penyimpanan. Penelitian dilakukan di greenhouse Kebun Tajur, Pusat Kajian Hortikultura dan Tropika, Institut Pertanian Bogor (PKHT IPB) dan Laboratorium Pascapanen dan Biomassa Departemen Agronomi dan Hortikultura IPB. Pengamatan kualitas pascapanen dilakukan menggunakan metode nondestruktif dan destruktif. Parameter yang diamati meliputi laju respirasi, produksi etilen, perubahan kerutan kulit, PTT, ATT, dan kandungan vitamin C. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buah melon cantaloupe yang dipanen 32 hari setelah antesis (HSA) mengalami puncak respirasi pada 7 hari setelah panen (HSP), puncak produksi etilen pada 9 HSP, pengerutan kulit buah pada 18 HSP, kandungan PTT tertinggi (6.99 oBrix), ATT (0.02 mL g-1), rasio PTT/ATT (493.75), dan kandungan vitamin C (20.65 mg (100 g)-1).

Cantaloupe) is a climacteric fruit that shows rapid physical and morphological changes after the fruit is harvested. The shelf life of the fruit can be extended by harvesting early after the fruit has reached the physiological ripeness stage. This study aimed to assess the effect of early harvesting time on the quality of cantaloupe fruit during storage. The experiment was conducted at the Research Center for Tropical Horticulture, Bogor Agricultural University (PKHT, IPB) Farm Tajur, Bogor, and postharvest ripening test was conducted at Postharvest Laboratory, Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Bogor Agricultural University. Parameters observed included respiration rate, ethylene production, changes in skin wrinkling, soluble sugar concentration (SSC), titratable acidity (TA), and vitamin C content. The result showed that cantaloupe harvested early at 32 days after anthesis has peak respiration at 7 days after harvest, peak ethylene production 9 days after harvest, shrivel incidence of the fruit skin at 18 days after harvest, highest PTT content (6.99 oBrix), ATT (0.02 mL g-1), PTT/ATT ratio (493.75), and vitamin C content (20.65 mg (100 g)-1.

Aktivitas Fisiologis Cincau Hijau Perdu (Premna oblongifolia) pada Pemberian Mikoriza dan Biochar Serat Aren: Physiological Activity of Green Grass Jelly Shrub (Premna oblongifolia) to Mycorrhiza and Palm Fiber Biochar Application
Green grass jelly shrub is a plant that has various benefits, so market demand for this plant continues to increase every year. On the other hand, the production of green grass jelly shrub has decreased so the market demand for this plant cannot be met. This study aims to determine the interaction between the dose of mycorrhiza and palm fiber biochar composition on the physiological activity of green grass jelly shrubs. Research with experimental methods was conducted in Greenhouse, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sebelas Maret, June-October 2023. The method used was a two-factor randomized complete block design
(RCBD) and 3 replicates. The first factor was the dose of mycorrhizal fertilizer (0, 5, 10, and 15 g plant-1) and the composition of planting media [soil (control), soil:palm fiber biochar (1:1), soil:palm fiber biochar (1:2), and soil:palm fiber biochar (2:1)]. Data experiments were analyzed using analysis of variance at the 5% error level and followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test at the 5% error level. The results showed that the dose of mycorrhiza 15 g plant-1 gave better results on plant height, weight of dry, number of stomata, and width of stomatal openings. Treatment of the composition planting media soil: palm fiber biochar
with a ratio of 2:1 gave better results on stomatal opening width.

Di sisi lain, produksi tanaman cincau hijau perdu justru mengalami penurunan sehingga permintaan pasar terhadap tanaman ini belum dapat terpenuhi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui interaksi antara dosis mikoriza dan komposisi biochar serat aren terhadap aktivitas fisiologis tanaman cincau hijau perdu. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Rumah Kaca, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sebelas Maret pada bulan Juni-Oktober 2023. Metode yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak kelompok lengkap (RAKL) dua faktor dengan 3 kali ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah dosis mikoriza (0, 5, 10, dan 15 g tanaman-1) dan faktor kedua adalah komposisi media tanam [tanah (kontrol), tanah:biochar serat aren (1:1), tanah:biochar serat aren (1:2), dan tanah:biochar serat aren (2:1)]. Data hasil percobaan dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam ANOVA pada taraf kesalahan 5% yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf kesalahan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosis mikoriza 15 g tanaman-1 memberikan hasil yang lebih baik terhadap jumlah stomata dan lebar bukaan stomata. Perlakuan komposisi media tanam tanah : biochar serat aren dengan perbandingan 2:1 memberikan hasil yang lebih baik terhadap lebar bukaan stomata.Kata kunci: fosfat, pektin, stomata, transpirasi, Verbenacea
Induksi Ketahanan Tanaman Tomat terhadap Ralstonia syzygii subsp. indonesiensis Menggunakan Bakteri Endofit dan Asam Salisilat : Induction of Resistance in Tomato Plants Against Ralstonia syzygii subsp. indonesiensis Using Endophytic Bacteria and Salicylic Acid
Patogen Ralstonia syzygii subsp. indonesiensis adalah penyebab penyakit layu bakteri pada tanaman tomat. Patogen ini sulit dikendalikan karena kemampuannya bertahan dalam sisa bahan inang, tanah, dan dapat menyebar dengan mudah melalui aliran air, serta menginfeksi jaringan tanaman secara sistemik. Belum ada pestisida kimia yang efektif untuk mengendalikan patogen layu bakteri. Oleh karena itu, alternatif pengendalian yang dipilih ialah dengan menggunakan bakteri endofit dan asam salisilat. Dua jenis bakteri endofit, yaitu Arthrobacter sp. dan Bacillus thuringiensis, serta asam salisilat digunakan dalam penelitian secara tunggal ataupun kombinasi untuk mengevaluasi potensinya dalam menginduksi ketahanan tanaman tomat dalam menekan penyakit layu bakteri R. syzygii subsp. indonesiensis. Penelitian dilakukan dengan rancangan acak lengkap non faktorial dengan 14 perlakuan terdiri atas perlakuan tunggal dan kombinasi. Setiap perlakuan terdiri atas tiga unit tanaman dan tiga ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi Arthrobacter sp. dan asam salisilat yang diaplikasikan satu kali seminggu (ABAS1) merupakan perlakuan yang paling efektif untuk menginduksi ketahanan tomat. Hal ini tampak pada periode inkubasi yang paling lama, rendahnya insidensi dan keparahan penyakit, meningkatnya aktivitas enzim peroksidase, polifenoloksidase, dan jaringan xilem tidak dominan terkolonisasi patogen pada pengamatan histopatologi.Induction of Resistance in Tomato Plants Against Ralstonia syzygii subsp. indonesiensis Using Endophytic Bacteria and Salicylic Acid
Ralstonia syzygii subsp. indonesiensis causes bacterial wilt disease in tomato plants. This pathogen is difficult to control because the pathogen can persist in residual host material, and soil, and easily spread through water and infected plant tissue systemically. There are no chemical pesticides available to control bacterial wilt pathogens. Therefore, the alternative is biological control using endophytic bacteria and salicylic acid. Two endophytic bacteria, namely Arthrobacter sp. and Bacillus thuringiensis, as well as salicylic acid, were used in research singly or in combination to evaluate their potential in inducing tomato plant resistance in suppressing the bacterial wilt disease R. syzygii subsp. indonesiensis. The research uses a non-factorial completely randomized design with 14 single and combination treatments. Each treatment consisted of three experimental units and was repeated three times. The results showed the combination of Arthrobacter sp. and salicylic acid applied once a week (ABAS1) was the most effective treatment in inducing tomato resistance. Evidenced by the longest incubation period, low incidence and disease severity, increased peroxidase, polyphenol oxidase activity, and xylem tissue was not predominantly colonized by pathogens in histopathological observations
Isolation and Molecular Identification of Nitrate-Reducing Bacteria from Swiftlet Houses in Sumedang, West Java
Edible bird‘s nest is an important export commodity that is currently of concern to the Indonesian government. One of the requirements for exporting edible bird’s nest to the People\u27s Republic of China is that this product must meet the requirements for nitrite content in the product below 30 ppm. This nitrite contamination can be obtained from the results of nitrogen metabolism from nitrifying bacteria. However, information on nitrite-reducing bacteria in swiftlet houses has never been reported and is urgent in controlling nitrifying bacteria in swiftlet houses. The presence of nitrite-reducing bacteria needs to be identified to prove the presence of these bacteria in swiftlet houses that have the potential to contribute to nitrite contamination in edible bird’s nest. This study aims to isolate nitrate-reducing bacteria in an effort to control nitrite using bacteriophages in the future. This study targeted nitrate-reducing bacteria collected from environmental samples (waste, feces, pond water, artificial pond water, soil, swiftlet eggshells, white edible bird’s nest (Aerodramus fuciphagus), black bird’s nest (Aerodramus maximus)) (n=40) from two different swiftlet houses in Sumedang, West Java, Indonesia. All isolates collected were subjected to a series of microbiological tests, phenotypic characterization (Gram staining, morphology, sugar fermentation ability, enzymes, etc.) and genotyping by PCR amplification and 16S rDNA gene sequencing. Raw sequencing data were analyzed using DNASTAR® software for DNA sequence alignment and phylogenetic tree construction. In the present work, four bacteria species were identified, including Priestia megaterium, Pseudomonas putida, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, and Proteus terrae. Development of Planting Media for Agricultural Land Prone to Waterlogging
Waterlogging is a serious problem currently being faced in the agricultural sector. Climate change has increased the frequency of extreme rainfall events, which has increased the potential for agricultural land flooding. Therefore, innovations in planting media that can float during waterlogging are required. The purpose of this study was to create a planting medium based on simple automatic water flow and excess water control using a climate-based approach and plant water needs. The study stages were divided into three categories: climate data, planting media design and simulation, and field tests. The results of this study show that the design of planting media that considers plant water needs based on the amount of water lost can save water. The application of a drainage system on the side of the planting media prevented plant death in the planting media due to waterlogging, based on projections of an increase in extreme R-events. The use of plastic bottles in the design of the planting media was effective in providing buoyancy to the planting media during waterlogging. The developed planting medium is suitable for adaptation to agricultural land that is prone to waterlogging amidst the threat of the climate crisis that the world is currently facing
Mapping of Road Pavement Conditions on the Cikampak Cicadas to the Segog Pamijahan Road Section
Roads are one of the land transportation infrastructures that have a vital role in supporting community activities. Road damage is often encountered in various places. If left unchecked, handling road damage will cost a lot. The purpose of this study is to identify the type and extent of damage from road pavement and drainage in the study area, as well as determine handling recommendations for road pavement using the Bina Marga method. The method used is the Bina Marga method and the main output of this method is the value of the Priority Order (UP) and the recommendation for handling the observed road. The results of the study showed that the most common type of damage encountered at the study site was elongated cracks with a total area of 582.44m2, and lateral cracks were damages with the smallest total area, which was 6.27 m2. The value of road condition obtained from summing the number of damage in each segment showed that the condition value of 7 was mostly owned by the road segments at the research site, namely 18 segments, while the condition values 3 and 6 were only owned by 1 segment. Recommendations for handling the east side drainage were obtained as a result that 27 segments require routine maintenance, 18 segments require periodic maintenance and 10 segments require addition to the drainage system. The drainage on the west side was obtained as a result of 35 road segments requiring routine maintenance, 14 road segments requiring periodic maintenance and 6 road segments requiring addition to the drainage system. The recommendations for handling on the road were obtained as a result that 10 road segments require routine maintenance, 26 road segments require periodic maintenance and 19 road segments require improvement with the required handling costs of Rp 39,857,105, Rp 302,529,219 and Rp 1,719,020,425 respectively
Analysis of Green Open Space Changes at Gunung Gede - Cilibende Campus Using Geographic Information System
IPB Gunung Gede - Cilibende Campus is one part of IPB University which is used by IPB Vocational School and IPB Business School. With limited land, the increase in the number of students and lecturers, as well as the development of campus infrastructure and facilities has the potential to increase carbon emissions on campus. So it is necessary to have a green space that acts as a carbon dioxide (CO2) absorber and creates a healthier environment at IPB Gunung Gede - Cilibende Campus. This study aims to analyze land use, and changes in green space at IPB Gunung Gede Campus - Cilibende. Processing involved secondary data of satellite imagery of IPB Gunung Gede - Cilibende Campus in 2019-2023 collected from Google Satellite using Google Earth Pro. Digitization was carried out to determine the land use area in calculating the green space ratio and the minimum green space requirement. Land use at IPB Gunung Gede - Cilibende Campus consists of forests, plants, buildings, parking areas, and roads. The percentage of green space in 2019 amounted to 64.05% until 2023 to 45.13%, smaller than the minimum green space requirement of 58%. The Green Roof concept can be applied as a business activity to increase green land area. By applying the Green Roof concept, IPB Gunung Gede - Cilibende Campus gets an additional green open space of 16.5% so the total green space ratio in 2023 becomes 61.63%
