The sandwich family structure refers to individuals who are responsible for supporting both elderly parents and children simultaneously. This dual responsibility can create significant pressure and impact family resilience. This study aims to analyse family characteristics, economic pressures, coping strategies, social support, and the relationships between these variables and their influence on family resilience. This study uses a cross-sectional study design with a sample of 120 wives from complete families who live with elderly parents. Data collection was carried out in March-May 2023 in Bogor City using a questionnaire and processed using SPSS and SEM PLS. The results showed that the husband and wife were in the early adult group with an average junior high school education level and more than half of the per capita income were categorized as poor. The average economic pressure, coping strategies and social support are in the low category, while family resilience is in the moderate category. Husband and wife education and per capita income have a significant positive relationship with family resilience. Economic pressure has a significant negative direct effect on family resilience, while coping strategies and social support have a significant positive direct effect on family resilience. This research shows the importance of increasing per capita income, coping strategies and social support in increasing the resilience of sandwich families in Bogor city

The welfare of dual earner families is a challenge along with the potential conflicts and challenges of family transactions with their environment. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of time management, family work balance, family transactions with their environment, and family-friendly environment on subjective well-being in dual earner families. The cross-sectional study involved 120 wives of dual earner families with school-age children who were selected by simple random sampling from the population in Kelurahan Pasir Jaya and Gunung Batu, Bogor City. The results showed that most of the sample had high subjective well-being and family-friendly environment indices, but had moderate indices of time management, family work conflict, family work balancing strategies, and family transactions with the environment. The PLS test results show that family work balancing strategies and a family-friendly environment have a positive effect on subjective well-being. Time management indirectly affects subjective well-being through family work balancing strategies

Inovasi Produk Sosis Kelinci sebagai Hilirisasi Usaha bagi Kelompok Ternak Kelinci Aza Akmal Rabbit Farm di Kabupaten Kendal

Rabbits are easily adaptable and reproduce quickly, providing benefits to breeders. Kendal Regency is one of the areas in Central Java Province that has potential in the field of rabbit farming. One of the rabbit farming groups in Kendal Regency is the Aza Akmal Rabbit Farm, which develops New Zealand rabbits. The high number of rabbits is inversely proportional to the low market demand; thus, the marketing of rabbit meat is still limited to frozen carcasses. This is influenced by the lack of knowledge of breeders regarding the processing and marketing of rabbit meat products. The purpose of the community service activity was to provide education related to the importance of product innovation and how to process rabbit sausages to increase community income. The method used was direct skills training, and the level of preference was evaluated using a hedonic test on 25 panelists. The results of the activity were in the form of a brownish-white rabbit sausage product, with a distinctive aroma and taste of rabbit sausage, and a compact and chewy texture. The results of the hedonic test of the color parameters were quite liked, aroma liked, texture liked, taste liked, and overall liked. In conclusion, community service activities can add new knowledge related to processing rabbit sausages. The hedonic test results showed that the panelists liked the rabbit sausages, indicating their potential for development to improve the community\u27s economy.Rabbits are easily adaptable and reproduce quickly, providing benefits to breeders. Performance of Kalung Cricket (Gryllus bimaculatus) Fed with a Combination of Concentrate and Cassava Leaves

Crickets are a promising alternative source of animal protein due to their high levels of amino acids, fatty acids, and protein (61.58%). These nutrients have applications in the pharmaceutical industry, human food, bird feed, and as a substitute for livestock feed, particularly in the form of cricket flour. The Kalung cricket (Gryllus bimaculatus) is notable for its rapid growth rate and efficient feed conversion. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of diets combining concentrate with cassava leaves of different maturities on the performance of Kalung crickets (Gryllus bimaculatus). A completely randomized design (CRD) was employed, consisting of three treatments with five replications each. The treatments were R1= concentrate+young cassava leaves, R2= concentrate+mature cassava leaves, R3= concentrate+cassava leaf stems, with a combination ratio of 1:1.5. The parameters observed include feed consumption, body weight gain, egg production, feed conversion, mortality, and income over feed cost (IOFC). The results showed that no significant differences among treatments in feed intake, weight gain, and mortality. However, significant differences were observed in egg production (0.022±0.011 g/individu/day) and feed conversion (1,88±0.95) with the R1 treatment showing the most favorable results. A diet combining concentrate with young cassava leaves significantly improves the reproductive performance and feed efficiency of Kalung crickets. This combination is recommended for enhancing productivity in Gryllus bimaculatus farming systems

One form of village development planning is the Village or Kalurahan Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMDes/RPJMKal). The preparation of the plan must involve all elements of society, including youth. This study aims to 1) identify the role of youth in the preparation process of the Wedomartani Village Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMKal) for 2021-2026; 2) analyze the level of participation; and 3) identify youth representatives\u27 perceptions of factors influencing youth roles. The research was conducted using a mixed method approach with descriptive analysis. Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling method. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis. The results showed that the role of youth is as a dynamizer, catalyst, motivator, innovator, and evaluator. Youth participation in the RPJMKal preparation process has reached the highest level or community power in the form of partnership. Based on the perception of youth representatives, the internal factor that influences the role of youth in the process of preparing the Wedomartani RPJMKal 2021-2026 is the age of youth. Get PDF
The blue swimming crabs in the waters of Oesapa, Kupang City are caught using collapsible pots during both the bright moon and dark moon phases. These fishing activities influence the quantity and size of the catch. The study aimed to compare the quantity and carapace-wide size of blue swimming crab (Portunus pelagicus Linnaeus, 1758) caught using several collapsible pots during the bright moon phase and the dark moon phase in the waters of Oesapa, Kupang City. The research was conducted from October 17th-22nd, 2024 (bright moon phase), and November 1st-5th, 2024 (dark moon phase). The tools and materials used in the study included 30 collapsible pots measuring 60 cm x 42 cm x 20 cm (L x W x H) baited with slipmouth fish (Leiognathus equulus). The pots were deployed in the water using the longline method and left for 24 hours. The number of crabs caught was recorded, and the carapace width of each crab was measured. The data were quantitatively analyzed using descriptive methods. The results showed that the average number of blue swimming crabs caught during the bright moon phase was eight individuals, while during the dark moon phase only 2.75 or three individuals. The average carapace width of crabs caught with the collapsible pot in Oesapa waters during the bright moon phase was 11.26 cm, whereas it was 11.93 cm in the dark moon phase. This difference showed that crabs caught varying numbers and sizes of carapace widths during the bright and dark moon phases. Key words: collapsible pot, moon phase, Oesapa waters, blue swimmer cra
