Pencak Macan: Unique Tradition In Marriage As An Effort To Develop Community Morals Through The Tourism Village
Marriage is one of the sacred and noble pre-social institutions in achieving the goal of creating a family full of love, virtue, and mutual support for others. The social and cultural conditions that developed in Gresik were thick with the spirit of Islam which was proven through activities that were valid and developed in the community. One of them is Pencak Macan. This tradition is often held during weddings, especially in the Lumpur Village, Gresik. This is one of the efforts through the idea of the Art-Religion Tourism Village as an adaptive step in internalizing Islamic values contained in Pencak Macan. The theoretical foundation used in this scientific paper uses functionalism theory, then analyzed using a SWOT analysis. These results then became a practical basis in determining the pattern of distribution of Islamic and Indonesian values through the idea of an Art-Religion Tourism Village
The Mediating Role Of Satisfaction On The Relationship Between Perceived Institutional And Functional Image On Student Retention
Student retention is a major problem in colleges. This is very important research in recent years about students’ retention. The study aims to prove and analyze the mediation of student satisfaction in the effect of institutional image and perceived functional image on student retention. Students of 80 people selected as respondents coming from colleges in Lumajang Regency, East Java, Indonesia. The method used is based on Partial Least Square (PLS) to test hypotheses that have been developed from previous research. The results showed that directly perceived institutional and functional images did not significantly influence student retention. the results of this study are perceived functional images has a significant effect on student retention with mediated student satisfaction. Efforts to develop student satisfaction as a step to maintain students, then the most important thing are to attention to the functional image that students perceived
Applying The Kanter Empowerment Theory To Improve Organizational Commitment
Empowerment leads employees to have responsibilities by improving their working ways in order to achieve organizational goals. This study aimed to analyze working empowerment and psychological empowerment to improve nurses’ commitment. In this study, the model of Kanter was designed for nurses in private hospitals. Quantitative approach was applied to analyze causal relationships between variables. The population were 186 nurses; and the samples were 65 nurses taken with simple random sampling. Moreover, PLS (Partial Least Square) was applied as the data analysis technique. As the results, this study indicated that the structural empowerment was able to increase psychological empowerment. While, psychological empowerment was able to improve organizational Commitment. In testing mediation, this study demonstrated that psychological empowerment fully mediated between structural empowerment and nurse commitment. Furthermore, this study concluded that the empowerment provided nurses with higher level of responsibility and autonomy to make decisions in regard with particular tasks from the organization
Farmer School in National Food Storage Area to Maintain Indonesia's Food Security
Technical issues regarding food security are often conceptualized with inappropriate policies. Food security is a fundamental issue not only nationally but also internationally. The purpose of this study is to channel the concept of farmer schools to farmers in Indonesia's national food storage area as an effort to maintain food supplies relates to food security. This study uses a qualitative method. The study explains the concept of farmer schools and educating farmers on argriculture to maintain their production and guided by agriculture experts as an effort to maintain the stability of Indonesia's food security, especially in the national food storage area. Data analysis techniques uses the study of food security and farmers empowerment and agricultural scholars by Indonesia government. Increasing production and adequate quality of food production will protect Indonesia from the food crisis and as solutions to national food security. Alongside this effort, farmers can produce good quality food sources that are able to solve the problems of food security and the quality of food production
Woman Empowerment Model Based Physalis angulata L. to Fight Poverty in Rural Area
Physalis angulata L. is Indonesian Neglected Underutilized Species (NUS) plant because it's entirely ignored by agricultural researches, plant breeders, and policymakers. Meanwhile, Physalis angulata L. or ciplukan are identified growing in many regions of Indonesia. In another side, ciplukan plants are potentially for synthetic nutraparm material because it has complex nutrition for noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes. So, project which is done by sociopreneur concept can be developed as an effort to empower women in the village through increasing the capability of Women Farmers Community (WFC) in Sipiran Village, Pagelaran District, Malang. This activity was held from October 2018 until February 2019 using the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) method which was carried out group training and mentoring such as : ciplukan cultivation, packaging and product marketing. The results of this activity showed high enthusiasm and cohesiveness through sustainability of the program and increase women group farmer's income than before
Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) yield and its components as affected by lime and rice husk ash in An Phu soils, An Giang, Viet Nam
The study of the effects of lime and rice husk ash in peanuts was carried out in winter-spring 2017 inside the dyke at An Phu district, An Giang province, consisted of following experiments: (i) Effects of lime, rice husk ash to Characters in soil. (ii) Effects of lime, rice husk ash on Arsenic and Cadmium uptake of peanuts, (iii) Effects of lime, rice husk ash to Yield and yield components of peanuts. The experiment was carried out with 4 treatments, 4 replications. The results showed that the treatment with lime and rice husk ash combination increased pH and EC in soil; the arsenic and cadminm contents in stems and seeds were lowest (81.0; 27.0 μg/kg and 1.7; 0.18 mg/kg, respectively) and produced the highest average total yield per hectare (7.59 tons) which significantly differed from all other treatments, the lowest yield (4.63 tons) was in the control treatmen
An Analysis of The Effects of Maternal Characteristics on Toddler Nutritional Status in Melati I Posyandu North Bekasi
This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal characteristics and the nutritional status of toddlers.This study uses secondary data, with a sample size of 117 data. This study uses a total sampling method. Bivariate analysis yields values for maternal parity (p-value = 0.188), maternal participation in posyandu (p-value = 0.003), maternal education (p-value = 0.024), maternal age (p-value = 0.001), and working status of mothers (p-value = 0.220). Meanwhile, the militivariate analysis yields values for participation of mothers in posyandu (p-value = 0.008; OR = 6.34; CI95% = 1.7 - 27.9), education (p-value = 0.013; OR = 4.42; CI95% = 1.3 - 14.3), and age (p-value = 0.001; OR = 7.33; CI95% = 2.2 - 23.6). Based on the results of multivariate analysis, maternal age is the characteristic most related to the nutritional status of toddlers
The Innovation Of Corn Seed Planting Tool Using Centrifugal Mechanics Pressure Method
Alat Tanam Biji Jagung Otomatis called ALTABATIS which uses the Centrifugal Mechanics Pressure Method is an innovation that provides a solution to the problem of corn farmers in Blengorwetan village. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of tools with test variables, namely land area and time. So we get the value of time efficiency and operational costs of the tool by comparing conventional workmanship. This research consists of several methods, namely the design method, method of making tools and testing methods. Testing using simulation or experimental methods in the village of Blengorwetan. From the test results obtained that using ALTABATIS can save time and operational costs by 78%
GANCANG ARON: Public Service Innovation as an Effort to Improve Health Services in Blambangan Regional General Hospital.
Blambangan Regional General Hospital had created an innovation to improve their health services called Gancang Aron. Gancang Aron is launched by the Local Government collaborated with private sector, GO-JEK. With this program, the patients only stay at home and the drug will be delivered by Go-jek drivers who have been specially trained for safe drug delivery. Therefore, they do not have to wait and go to Blambangan Regional General Hospital, because the drug will be delivered. The objectives of this study were to describe the utilization of public service innovation in Banyuwangi Regency, called Gancang Aron. This study is a descriptive qualitative research using primary data in the form of interviews with informants in the field, collection of related organizational documents and supported by the use of literature data. The innovation of Gancang Aron is not a single innovation that only occurs in the service department, it means there is involvement between actors in certain areas that contribute to the emergence of these innovative practices
Study Program Accreditation: Importance and Performance
The purpose of this is to analysis importance and performance level of study programs in the accreditation process. This is a qualitative study and analysis start from calculate the gap between the level of importance and the performance of seven standards for the assessment of accreditation of study programs. The analysis was continued by using cause effect diagram to find out the causes of several problems in the study program accreditation process. The results of the study show that standards 1, 2 and 5 have the highest level of importance. While based on the guidelines from BAN PT, standards 7, 3, 4, and 6 are the standards with the highest weighting ratings. Gap from the biggest to the smallest gap is for standards 7, 3, 6, 4, 6, 2 and 1. Using Cause Effect Diagram can find out some of the causes of problems in the accreditation process and also provide some recommendations
