The design of the study was a cross-sectional survey of 51 prisoners which selected by quote sampling. The data was collected by test questionnaire on oral health knowledge, attitude, and practice. Conclusion: oral health knowledge and attitude of prisoners are good level. But, they have an enough level in oral health practice
E-Commerce Adoption by Small and Medium Sized Enterprises in Indonesia: An Investigation of Influencing Factors and Benefits
Get PDFIn the past few years, the number of e-commerce users in the world has increased dramatically; however, this increase is mostly being driven by large companies. The adoption of e-commerce by SMEs, especially in developing countries, is relatively slow. This condition raises the question: what factors affect SMEs in developing countries in their adoption of e- commerce? Whilst there has been a great deal research it concerns mainly SMEs in developed countries. Research that focuses on SMEs in developing countries is scarce. Therefore, in order to answer the question and to fill the research gap, this study investigates the factors that influence the adoption of e- commerce by SMEs but in developing countries. In this study, Indonesian SMEs have been chosen. The research instrument used in this study was a survey, and 75 SMEs participated. Ten factors are found to be the most considered factors. Besides investigating these influence factors, this study also aimed to identify the benefits gathered by Indonesian SMEs in adopting of e-commerce. This study found ten such benefits that were potentially achievable when the SMEs adopted e-commerce.
Bovine Freeze Dried Amniotic Membrane (FD-AM) Covered Sterile Gauze for Wound Dressing
Get PDFThe Amniotic membrane with the growth factor content has beneficial effect for wound healing. The fabrication of Bovine Freeze Dried Amniotic Membrane (FD-AM) with sterile gauzing has been performed for wound dressing application. The aim of this study was to know the potency of bovine amniotic membrane as wound dressing. The manufacturing of Freeze Dried Bovine Amniotic Membrane (FD- AM) with sterile gauzing is started with separating chorion from amnion membrane using blunt dissection, rinsed with sterile saline amniotic membrane and aquadest, immersed amniotic membrane with NaOCl, stretching amniotic membrane on the brass which is layered with sterile gauze, and freeze-drying process. Freeze Dried Amniotic Membrane (FD-AM) has been characterized for its cytotoxicity, content of protein related by molecular weight, and the wound healing capability showed on re-epithalization percentage and collagen scoring (via Histopathology anatomy test). Bovine amniotic membrane has been proven as non toxic material which is showed by 99,69 % of fibroblast cell alived in material cytotoxicity test. Bovine Freeze Dried Amniotic Membrane (FD-AM) consists of protein with molecular weight of 70 KDa. The ability of wound healing in mice skin is proved by 100 % re- epitalization percentage on day 3, 6, and 13 and about increasing collagen density on day 3, 6, and 13 which is showed by collagen scoring. In conclusion, the Bovne Freeeze Dried Amniotic membrane is potential for the candidate of wound dressing.
Perception and Assessment of Productivity Factors on Construction Projects
Get PDFIn Indonesia, the problem of low productivity is evident; people still do not understand the concept of productivity improvement. They do not seem to be aware of the importance of productivity improvement in construction. They consider that productivity problem is only related to labor in the work face who do the real work in construction. Actually, the problem of productivity is laid on the hands of construction management personnel who plan and control all activities on site. Labor are able to be managed, motivated, encouraged to be more productive only if managers are willing to initiate the productivity improvement program. In this study establish 16 factors to identified become the 5 most influential factor on productivity. This study aims to identify the factors that have an effect on worker productivity. By giving questionnaires to foremen and engineers, it will get the facts on the site. One hundred questionnaires were distributed, 94 questionnaires were returned already and get the results as regular remuneration is the highest factor. And then factor affecting productivity is overtime payments, incentive payment, unskilled and inexperienced of labor, and motivation. Furthermore, this study identified perception of engineer and foremen related productivity.
Comparison of Probability Density Function and Eddy Dissipation Model in Turbulence Combustion Atmopheric Methane Flame
No full textIn this paper, computational fluid dynamic methods based on Fluent are used to model in turbulence combustion atmospheric methane flame. This paper models and predicts the performance in Probability Density Function model compares with the Eddy Dissipation Model using Computational Fluid Dynamic approach and based experimental data is presented. This modelling tool has the potential to help evaluation emissions and performance for combustion industry. This result has been validated against methane experimental data and in PDF models was shown in good agreement compare with EDM model
Globalizing Market in Indonesia: Politics of Market and the Impact toward National Social Welfare
Get PDFGlobalization is a multi-dimensional process that is manifested in the form of time and space narrowing in social relations, so that the limits of social relations between nations are blurred. Globalization has a positive or negative effect, depending on the perspective we looked at whether pessimistic or optimistic. One form of globalization that has been able to see is the global market. To examine political aspect of the globalizing market in Indonesia, we can see by the three perspectives. There are liberal view, mercantilists view, and neo-Marxist view. The question now is whether the global market can enhance the welfare of society, or the opposite would worsen the social welfare in Indonesia. This paper is based on a qualitative type, descriptive approach, and emphasis on the literature study.

Optimization of Bioprocess Variables for Fungal Lipase Production using Statistical Experimental Design: A Mini Review
Get PDFLipases hold the important role in wide spectrum of biotechnological applications. Lipases are unique, not only due to their ability to perform hydrolysis of fats into fatty acids and glycerol at the water-lipid interface, but also can reverse the reaction in non-aqueous media. Currently, the studies revealed that fungi are the one of choice for lipase production. Some important lipase-producing fungal genera include Aspergillus, Penicillium, Rhizopus, Candida, Geotrichum, etc. The development of response surface methodology applied to optimize fungal lipase production is discussed.
