The purpose of this study was to express an opinion of the stakeholders in Klaten Regency behind the Index of Human Resources Development for Village (IHRDV). The IHRDV was composed by three key indicators, namely indicators of health, education indicators and economic indicators. The index system and the model of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) have been applied in this study. Among 3 (three) indicators, indicator of education in Klaten Regency have given the biggest contribution to the IHRDV. Meanwhile, based on the opinion from stakeholders, there have been found that economic aspects placed in first rank (35.6%). Stakeholders argued that most desirable for village development should be focused on economic development.

The Antecedents of Attitude toward Green Product and Its Effect on Willingness to Pay and Intention to Purchase

    Get PDF
This research has proposed a conceptual framework to investigate the antecedents of attitude toward green product and its effect on willingness to pay and intention to purchase. To test the conceptual framework, structural equation modelling (SEM) has been used to analyse the data collected from 200 women (young adult, educated, has children, interest to purchase of green product and independently have income). The investigated antecedents are health consciousness, environmental attitude, and value orientation. The results of this study indicate that health consciousness, environmental attitude, and value orientation have significant and positive influence on the attitude toward green product, subsequently the attitude toward green product influence the willingness to pay. The willingness to pay then will drive the customer’s purchase intention.

Health is a basic right for every human being from the age of infants, toddlers, teens, adults to old age as stated in the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia 1945 section 28H paragraph 1 (UUD RI 1945 pasal 28H ayat 1) and also as an investment, so it needs to be pursued and enhanced by each individual, in order to achieve an optimal level of public health. One form of community empowerment efforts in the health sector is to develop Posyandu. Posyandu (Pos Pelayanan Terpadu) is a container-managed public health services and hosted from, by, for, and with the community with support services and technical guidance from health professionals, which aims to develop human resources. Community awareness nutrition and health still lack, especially to the rural communities. Most mothers of infants and toddlers lazy to bring them to the Posyandu, as well as pregnant women. Posyandu on the Road is one of the solutions to overcome the problem of lazy mothers who come to the Posyandu. Posyandu on the Road carried from door to door that meaning volunteers and health workers visited one of the houses that have infants, toddlers, and pregnant women. Posyandu on the Road have the same activity with regular Posyandu. Difference of Posyandu on the Road with normal Posyandu lies in the place, where Posyandu on the Road using the car, while the regular Posyandu held in resident’s house or in the village hall. Posyandu on the Road is expected to contribute to improving the quality of human resources that will be the potential for the development of the nation's health.

Land Suitability Evaluation of the Brackish Water Shrimp Farming Using GIS, Case Study in Mahakam Delta, Indonesia

This paper briefly described land evaluation of shrimp pond development in Mahakam Delta, discusses its ecological and socio-economic impacts and recommends measures to achieve long term sustainability using Geographic Information System (GIS). The objectives of this research were to know land suitability for brackish water aquaculture and optimal utilazation based on land suitability level. This research was conducted at Mahakam Delta, Kutai Kartanegara Regency; East Kalimantan. Surveys have been done collected primary data, while secondary data was obtained from related institution and needed maps for GIS analysis, with overlying map and primary data in each station observation with considering and assessment scale value of determining land suitability for brackish water pond using AHP method. The result of GIS analysis had been obtained the land suitability at Mahakam Delta, area of highly suitable for shrimp pond was 1,185 ha (3 %), suitable was 32,137 ha (82 %), and not suitable was 5,905 ha (15 %) of 39,226 ha total land area that was studied. It can be concluded the sites with generality were suitable based on potential for pond construction, water availability, and water quality but not suitable with soil quality and infrastructure facilities.

Do Macroeconomic Factors Have Different Impact on Stock Price across Firm Sizes and Industries: Case In Indonesia Stock Exchange

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of macroeconomic on stock price in various firm sizes and industries. The population used in this study are firms listed on the in Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2008-2012. A number of 180 stocks selected as sample and divided into three groups of firm size, large, medium and small, and two groups of manufacture industry and financial industry. Macroeconomic variables in this research are inflation, exchange rate, interest rate SBI, the price of gold and oil prices. The research analysis employed the regression analysis. The results of this study show that (1) the negative effect of inflation rate on stock returns only found in financial firms and there is no different effect between big, medium, and small firms, (2) interest rate has the negative impact on stock returns, the larger the firm size, the stronger negative effect of interest rete on stock returns, and the negative effect is stronger in manufacture firms than in financial firms, (3) exchange rate has positive effect on stock return in big firm, the larger the size of the firm, the stronger the positive effect, and there is no different effect between industries, (4) gold prices has negative effect on stock returns, the larger the firm size, the stronger negative effect of gold prices on stock returns, and the negative effect is stronger in manufacturing firms than in financial firms, and (5) oil prices has negative effect on stock returns, the larger the firm size, the stronger negative effect of oil prices on stock returns, and the negative effect is stronger in the manufacture firms than in financial firms.

Effect of Sugar Concentrations on Bacterial Cellulose Production as Cellulose Membrane in Mixture Liquid Medium and Material Properties Analysis

    Get PDF
Cellulose membrane is bacterial cellulose which produced from the fermentation process by Acetobacter xylinum. Cellulose membrane was performed in mixture liquid medium by using coconut water and sugar palm juice as the base medium. In this study, different present sugar concentrations including 0%, 7,5% and 10% were added into fermentation medium to enhance bacterial cellulose production. By adding three different sugar concentrations, the bacterial cellulose from different sugar concentration was made into cellulose membrane. Cellulose membrane were tested for physical properties of cellulose membrane, such as the degree of crystallinity by x-ray diffraction (XRD), water content and thermal decomposition behaviour by TGA, scanning electron microscopy analysis (SEM), tensile strength, FTIR spectra of cellulose membrane. The better cellulose membrane was reported from the addition of 7.5% sugar for all physical properties material.
