The Improvement of Student’s Activities through the Implementation of Cooperative Script Model
This paper is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) aimed to describe the improvement process of student’s activities in Business English subject. The improvement was accomplished by implementing model of cooperative script. The experiment was conducted at the Faculty of Education, Riau University. Thirty three students were the subject of this study. The research was conducted in three cycles, each cycle includes the steps of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The data was collected through field observation technique covered lecturer’s activities and student’s activities. The result found that the implementation of the model could improve student’s activities. Assuming that the lecturer’s ability in designing lesson plan and the involvement of student’s activities proportionally could conclude that the implementation of cooperative script as a learning model to be effective.
Cytotoxic Effects of Methanol Extracts of Soursop Leaves (Annona muricata) on MCF-7 Cell Line and Its Effect on Expression of bcl-2
The leaves of the soursop (Annona muricata) contain annonaceus acetogenin that have cytotoxic effects on pancreatic carcinoma (PACA-2) and colon adenocarcinoma (HT- 29) cell lines. The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of cytotoxic of methanol leaf extract of soursop in MCF-7 breast cancer cell line. The methanol extract of soursop leaves was obtained by maceration using methanol for 3 x 24 hours. Cytotoxic activity was examined by MTT assay. The percent of living cells analyzed using the probit in SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) program to obtain the IC50 values. The expression of Bcl-2 protein was observed by immunocytochemistry method. The results showed that the methanol extracts of soursop leaves has a cytotoxic activity in MCF-7 breast cancer cell line with IC50 values of 88,53 μg/mL. The methanol extract of soursop leaves decreasing Bcl-2 protein expression.
The Relationships among Socio-demographic Characteristics, Structural Empowerment, and Job Satisfaction of Community Health Volunteers in Indonesia
Among different kinds of community resources, human resources are the most essential for the process of developing healthy communities. One of them is community health volunteers. However, it is not easy to keep voluntary workers as part of health programs even though they have been trained. A descriptive correlation study design was used to examine the relationships among socio-demographic characteristics, structural empowerment, and job satisfaction of community health volunteers. A total of 341 of community health volunteers participated in this study. The results showed that some of socio-demographic characteristics of community health volunteers including age, years of experience and training experience were significantly related to job satisfaction. However, the marital status, level of education and occupation of respondents were not significantly associated with job satisfaction. Structural empowerment was significantly associated with job satisfaction of community health volunteers. The study concludes that community health volunteers who had a chance to improve structural empowerment was more likely to have higher level of job satisfaction
The Different Attributes Between Visitors Traditional Market and Modern Market Samarinda East Kalimantan
AC Nielsen Research data states that in Indonesia there are 13.450 pieces in traditional markets as fast growing middle class population many were built modern markets in some big cities. Modern market grew by 31.4 % per year, while the traditional market following the 8 % per year. If the management of traditional markets are not addressed then the traditional market will lose visitors because most middle group will choose to shop in the modern market for reasons of hygiene, safety, comfort , etc. This study aims to determine what attributes that differentiate consumers in traditional markets and modern. The basis of this research is the study of traditional market versus modern market of Indonesia. There are 8 attributes that differentiate consumers in modern markets and traditional markets , namely : price , quality, completeness goods , scales , location , security , convenience and ease of payment . With multiple analysis multiple discriminant analysis obtained that attributes of quality, completeness goods , security and comfort of an independent variable as perceived by visitors are significantly show the differentiate of traditional markets and modern . The results provide managers recommendation that more traditional markets to improve the quality of goods , goods completeness , safety and comfort in order to keep the traditional markets enjoyed by visitors middle class group.

Disaster Management as Public Service
Public service is still a challenge in Indonesia. Disaster management usually seen as an additional burden without allocation of needed resources. Some local governments often not prioritized because of other issues judged more important than putting a serious effort in disaster management. It is considered unlikely to occur in the near future. Lack of political will to engage in it is an additional barrier. Limited capacity of local governments has made them difficult to play a role in disaster management. The purpose of this paper is to describe how far the disaster management (policy) as a part of the public service agenda. The research method that used is the study of literatures and the Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The research site covers 4 (four) regencies in East Java Province, Indonesia
Jihad in Visual Artwork of Muslim Punk Subculture

Then, in 2001, there was appearing seeds of Islam Punk Movement led by Ombat aka Mohammad Hariadi Nasution, a member of grindcore/punk band from Jakarta, Tengkorak, then this movement popularly named as One Finger Movement in 2010. This movement was born as a new kind of jihad against Westernization which is contrary with principle beliefs of Islamic culture in punk scene. In later years, it appears the others Islamic movements such as Punk Muslim Community, Ghuraba Militant Tawheed and Bogor Muslim Hardcore Community. The development of Islam Punk Subculture not only identified by their development of music industry, but also in visual artworks that spread in their merchandises, publications, and promotions, from electronic media to printed medium. Fermentation of Nypa Sap to Bioethanol
Indonesia is targeted to produce bioethanol in 2025 about 9,1 million kilo liters [1]. One of the potential materials to be processed to bioethanol is nypa sap since it has a high content of sugar. Moreover, the availability of nypa plantation areas in Indonesia about 973,205.54 ha and the high sugar content make nypa sap is a potential for fermentation to bioethanol. Bioethanol is alcohol which is obtained from biomass fermentation process that is aided by microorganism. The microorganisms of fermentation are Saccaromyces cerevisiae and Pichia stipitis. The optimum condition of bioethanol production from nypa sap was determined by volume of subsrate, volume of inoculum, and the fermentation time. Acquisition optimum concentration of bioethanol by using microbial Saccaromyses cerevisiae is 14% (v/v) and 97.969% with a yield of 10% volume starter and fermentation time 36 hours. The optimum results generated for microbial fermentation using Pichia stipitis is lower at 9% (v/v) ethanol concentration and yield of 92.244% with 15% volume starter and fermentation time 72 hours. These results indicate that the ability of Saccaromyces cerevisiae better than Pichia stipitis in converting sugar to bioethanol.
