Application Of Differential Evolution For Solving Job Shop Scheduling Problem

    Get PDF
Job Shop Scheduling problem (JSSP) is a famous problem in which jobs are assigned to machines at particular times, while trying to minimize the total length of the schedule (Makespan). This characteristic of the problem make it be NP-Hard problem that cannot be solved by using the exact algorithms in polynomial time. So this study used the Differential Evolution (DE) algorithm, one of the approximate algorithms, to solve Job Shop Scheduling problem. Based on our experiment, we could indicate that the results of small and medium size problems using DE approach obtained the optimal solution reliably and effectively

    Get PDF
Gandrung dance and Tumpeng Sewu tradition are traditions of the Usingsocieythat are preserved until this present day. In the beginning, every tradition emerged had a religio-magical and aesthetic functions which were a form of gratitude to the gods for what had been given to humans. The existence of the tumpeng sewu tradition is a form of harmony between nature and humans. The value contained in the tumpeng sewu ritual is believed to protect nature. Gradually, the value of religio-magical functions shifts to economical pragmatic with the rise of tradition put into cultural tourism. There are consequences that need to be considered when religio-magical function is preserved but encounter shifting as well. If the religio-magical value is still maintained, it faces many irrelevances. However, if shifting occurs, the pattern of society experiences a shift because culture or tradition is a product of society. These dynamics are the subject of this study. Changes that take place in the tradition of Using society can be seen from several aspects, one of them is the local government who held events on a national to international scale in an excessive and festive way. The content of the events is Using culture. Whether it is realized or not, the pattern of change has helped to ignite the spirit of the society to preserve their traditions. The sacred and profane theory put forward by Emile Durkheim is be the basis of thought to unravel the pattern of change made by Using society. This study used ethnographic method with interviews and literature studies as the data collection techniques. The concept of Geertz's desacralization which describes the process of changing the nature of ritual from sacred to profane also becomes one of the foundations of this study

    Get PDF
The peace process Burma/Myanmar has got a momentum since 2011, and both government and non-State actors put endeavor to make the process move on. This research paper is a comparative study of the seven-step Roadmap of National League for Democracy (NLD) and the seven-step Roadmap of previous military junta State Peace and Development Council (SPDC). The military junta tactfully reached the seventh step Roadmap and strictly holds on to the 2008 Constitution. It guaranteed the Tatmadaw (Army) a fixed position both in politics and defense. In contrast, the civilian government and ethnic groups are struggling to sign a union agreement— the 21st century Panglong Conference Agreement. This paper argues that amending the constitution in accordance with the union agreement and the subsequent approval of the amended constitution may cause tension and pressure to be dealt with by the government, the Tatmadaw and ethnic nationalities. If the stakeholders are capable to get the union agreement to amend the constitution, there will be a wider chance to build a democratic federal union as planned in the NLD’s seven-step road map

Ascites is an accumulation of fluid in the peritoneal space and one of the first signs of decompensation of liver disease. Ascites is one of the complications experienced by patients with hepatic cirrhosis. Therapy commonly used for ascites is diuretics, along with salt restriction in the diet. Potassium-sparing diuretics, especially spironolactone and loop diuretics, especially furosemide, are the main pharmacological therapies for ascites. The purpose of this study was to examine the characteristics distribution of hepatic cirrhosis patients, to assess the profile of the use of diuretic drugs during hospitalization, and to determine the possibility of a Drug Related Problem (DRP) on diuretic therapy for patients with ascites at Airlangga University Hospital (RSUA) Surabaya. The research was conducted with non-experimental methods or observations, it was subsequently analyzed descriptively. Data collection was carried out in non-random and time limited sampling in the period of 1 January 2013 - 31 March 2017 in the Inpatient Room of Internal Medicine Department at RSUA Surabaya and was declared as ethically feasible. Based on the results of 45 SH samples with complications of ascites, the most common characteristics of hepatic cirrhosis patients were men by 53.33%, the highest age range was 45-64 years at 75.56%, while the highest complication was hypoalbumin with the percentage of 26.67% and the longest treatment duration was 6-10 days at 46.67%.The therapeutic profile of diuretics in this study, namely the use of furosemide as a single therapy with the percentage of 17.78% and single spironolactone therapy of 2.22% and combination therapy of spironolactone with furosemide with the percentage of 80.00 %. The most widely used furosemide was intravenous use with a daily dose of 1x20mg 57.78%, while spironolactone was the most widely used in oral use with a daily dose of 1x100mg 44.44%. Drug Related Problems (DRP) that occuedr including potential drug interactions found in concomitant use between spironolactone and potassium preparations with the percentage of 24.44%. No actual drug interactions and side effects were found in this study.

Teaching Writing Through A Genre-based Approach In An Efl Context

    Get PDF
Writing has become more demanding in the context of English as a foreign language, particularly in Thailand. Most Thai EFL undergraduates do not know how to connect ideas with lexical items, grammar, and structure when writing an academic essay. These problems occur in Thai EFL writing entirely due to a grammar-based approach to a product and process writing approaches, and even the product-process approach. Writing English grammar correctly is also taken into account for learner assessment. Currently, the innovative genre-based approach has been integrated into academic writing courses. This article aims to review the notions concerning approaches to writing in order to discuss how a writing process can be effectively designed when it is based on the written product. Particular attention in this paper is given to writing approaches that propose the intervention of a genre-based approach to academic writing courses. This article presents two linguistic genre-based approaches: systemic functional linguistics and English for specific purposes. Also, the examine-and-report-back model is proposed as a suitable practical approach for the teaching writing in English at similar stages of teaching and learning cycles

Design Wireless Power Charging For Battery 12 Volts On Automatic Guided Vehicle

    Get PDF
In this era, technology is getting more advanced and develop rapidly. Most of every created technology requires an electrical energy. Along the current technology development, power or electrical energy delivery can deliver through air without using a cable as in general. However on AGV (Automatic Guided Vehicle) technology, charging power transfer is still conventionally using cable. The purpose of this paper is to resolve the power transfer process so that become more efficient. By applying wireless charging technology, the charging process into AGV can be more efficient. A 220 V power source with 50 Hz frequency will be forwarded to the power supply which changes AC to DC then will be converted again to the inverter from DC to AC voltage forwarded directly to the primary coil through air delivery. The results that have been achieved in this paper is the amount of power delivered more than 6.75 watts with a frequency of 9 KHz. The optimal distance for sending power is 0 - 5 cm. So the distance on wireless charging greatly affects the quality of the power delivery process performed

The Role Of Brand Image On Brand Trust And Loyalty For Purified Drinking Bottled Water Brands In Tachileik

    Get PDF
Bottled water consumption has been on the rise globally but the brand image of bottled water remains unstudied. Motivated by the significant value of brand image as a source of brand equity, particularly from customer-based aspect, this study puts an emphasis on brand image in examining its role on brand trust and brand loyalty. The contribution lies not only in revealing the image role in bottled water, but also the cognitive, affective and sensory domains of image perceptions. In other words, cognitive image, affective image, and sensory image are studied. While cognitive image is rational in nature of the perceptual process and has closer relationship with the tangible aspects of encounters and experiences with the brand, the affective or emotional image is more related to feelings that arise as a result of, for instances, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and customer services. Sensory aspect of brand image is vastly neglected in the extant literature. These three dimensions of brand image form the customers’ mental constructions and gives rise to meaningful perceptions to influence brand trust and brand loyalty. The findings of this study can provide the brand marketers with a strategic guide to improve the brand perceptions of consumers and thus induce brand loyalty. Besides, on the theoretical domain, this study provides an imagery insight in more balanced manner – cognitively, affectively, and sensory wise. The main statistical analysis tools to be used are factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, ANOVA, multiple regression and structural equation modeling (SEM) analyses, including mediating impact analysis. Data would be collected from the consumers of purified bottled water in Tachileik, Myanmar

BALITSA (Vegetable Crops Research Institute) is a research center that have many activities, one of them is about plant hatcheries. One of the plants that have been hatchery is cucumber. Hatchery proccess or seeds have been separated with manual process using human power. When yields increase, the ammount of power needed automatically. In 2017, a cucumber seed separator was made. The machine performs two stages, cutting both ends and separating the seeds.in the cutting process position of the blade and cucumber did not move, so it made many cucumber were wasted. Due that reason, in this study we design a tools that cut both ends of the cucumber by adjusting the length of it’s to reduce the ammount of wasted cucumber with more efficient time. Result of this study shows that with using this tools, the accuracy cut both ends of 10 cucumbers is 99,875 % cutout accuracy. With this tool can reduce the amount of cucumber that is wasted. Due the result of this study, for cutting both ends of cucumber with the designed tools needs longer ammount of times than using human power. Time that needed are not fully efficient, but can be reduce human power that needed for cutting and separating cucumber seeds. This tools can reduce the ammount of wasted cucumber until 25.31733%

    Get PDF
This paper aims to elaborate the new circumstances of South East Asia and its impact to form of cooperation and architecture of ASEAN. Despite the ASEAN countries still maintain the state-led regionalism principle, but various changes that took place in this region has risen a various issues that push the emergence of new actors such as seen in the emergence of transnational advocacy netwoks. The limitations of the state-centric regionalism leave the problem of representation. This means that the state perspective will be more determined by political and technocratic calculations. By proposing multitrack regionalism concept, this paper try to show that state-led regionalism is needed to transform into community-led regionalism in order to realize a more democratic regionalism
