A STUDY ON THE NABIDAE AND REDUVIIDAE (HEMIPTERA: HETEROPTERA) OF THE KELKIT VALLEY AND AMASYA, TURKEY
In this study, the research material consists of samples collected from Amasya and the Kelkit Valley between 2006 and 2007. In and around Amasya, and the Kelkit Valley, 11 species belonging to 3 genera of Nabidae and 9 species belonging to 6 genera of Reduviidae from 48 different localities were determined. Of those, all species of Nabidae and 7 species of Reduviidae are new records for the partıcular research areas. Prostemma aeneicolle Stein, 1857, Prostemma guttula asiaticum Kerzhner, 1968, Nabis sareptanus Dohrn, 1862 and Nabis brevis Scholtz, 1847 are less known and rare species from Turkey
BALKAN GOLDENRING, CORDULEGASTER HEROS THEISCHINGER, 1979 (ODONATA: CORDULEGASTRIDAE), A NEW SPECIES OF ODONATA IN THE FAUNA OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
In this paper the first data on Balkan goldenring (Cordulegaster heros Theischinger, 1979) recorded in Bosnia and Herzegovina are presented. The research into the biodiversity of Odonata was conducted in an area of Boračko Lake during 2011. From 11th July to 29th August 2011, the authors collected five male individuals of C. heros
GALL-INDUCING ARTHROPODS ASSOCIATED WITH ORNAMENTAL WOODY PLANTS IN A CITY PARK OF NITRA (SW SLOVAKIA)
The research was carried out in Slovakia from 2004-2008, in a city park area in Nitra. The research was oriented to gallforming insects and mites on ornamental woody plants in an urban environment. A visual control of woody plants in the terrain was done, and an individual species was determined according mainly to collected samples of symptoms. In total 122 species of gall-forming insect and mites species were identified and recorded, specifically, 91 species of insects and 31 species of mites (Eriophyidae, Phytoptidae). Thirteen alien insects were also found during the research. The most frequented host plants for gall-inducing organisms were genera Quercus (28 species), Acer (10 species), Salix (10 species), Populus (9 species) and Tilia (8 species)
GENUS GEOCORIS FALLÉN (HETEROPTERA: LYGAEIDAE) IN SERBIA AND ADJACENT REGIONS
Genus Geocoris is represented in Serbia by nine species: Geocoris (Geocoris) arenarius (Jakovlev), Geocoris (Geocoris) ater (Fabricius), Geocoris (Geocoris) dispar (Waga), Geocoris (Geocoris) grylloides Linnaeus, Geocoris (Geocoris) lapponicus (Zetterstedt), Geocoris (Geocoris) lineola (Rambur), Geocoris (Geocoris) megacephalus (Rossi), Geocoris (Geocoris) pallidipennis (Costa) and Geocoris (Piocoris) erythrocephalus (Lepeletier & Serville). Geocoris (Geocoris) pallidipennis (Costa) is a new species for the fauna of Serbia
TRUE BUGS (HETEROPTERA) OF PČINJA VALLEY (SERBIA)
During the summer season in July 2006, 2007 and 2008 expeditions in the valley of the Pčinja River were carried out. During these expeditions 339 specimens of true bugs (Heteroptera) were collected from 7 different localities: Vogance, Jablanica, Budovija, Gornji Starac, Delinovica, Kozjak and Čivcije. 80 species from 22 families were identified. The majority of these species present two biomes: Mediterranean mountain pastures and forests of rocky grounds and European steppes with diverse grasses. The true bug’s mixed continental-Mediterranean fauna structure in the valley of the Pčinja River is a result of the specific climate conditions of that area. Paraparomius leptopoides (Bärensprung, 1859) is a new species for Serbian fauna
FIRST RECORD OF INVASIVE SPECIES HARMONIA AXYRIDIS (PALLAS, 1773) (COLEOPTERA: COCCINELLIDAE) IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
PRELIMINARY RESEARCH OF APIONIDAE AND NANOPHYIDAE (COLEOPTERA: CURCULIONOIDEA) OF THE BIOSPHERE RESERVE GOLIJA-STUDENICA
Golija-Studenica are given. The identification of 192 adult specimens collected during August 2008 confirmed the presence of 34 species (32 from the family Apionidae and two from Nanophyidae). The taxonomy and all collecting details are presented here (date of collecting, localities, type of habitat, plants, numbers of females, males and total number of specimens)
MONITORING OF FLIGHT PHENOLOGY OF RASPBERRY CANE MIDGE RESSELIELLA THEOBALDI BARNES (DIPTERA: CECIDOMYIIDAE) BY PHEROMONE TRAPS IN WESTERN SERBIA
The flight phenology of the raspberry cane midge Resseliella (Thomasiniana) theobaldi Barnes (Diptera, Cecidomyiidae) was monitored over three successive years (2006-2008) in a raspberry orchard of the Fruit Research Institute Čačak, at the 'Zdravljak' site. This was the first time that large white delta traps baited with the raspberry cane midge sex pheromone were used. No insecticides were used during the monitoring period. Throughout the period, over three growing seasons, the midge presence was detected from April-May to September-October. During the three years, there were variations in the numbers of midges caught per trap, as well as those in the total numbers of midges trapped across years and peak numbers per trap. The highest total number (2,419) of midges during the season and the highest number of midges per trap in a sample (729) were recorded in 2007. The earliest maximum catch per trap (729) occurred on 11 May, 2007
PRELIMINARY RESEARCH ON THE LADYBIRDS COMMUNITY (COLEOPTERA: COCCINELLIDAE) OF THE NATIONAL PARK ĐERDAP
A study of coccinellid beetles (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) was conducted at five sites, representing different ecosystems and altitudes ranging between 50 to 800 m within the National Park Đerdap territory, Serbia. During the season (from April to October 2009), a total of 17 species belonging to 12 genera, representing four tribes and three subfamilies were collected. Preliminary results show that composition of coccinellid communities in the study area varied both in absolute numbers and in relative abundance of species. Subfamily Coccinellinae is the richest and dominant subfamily, with 15 species corresponding to about 88% of registered species
