Ethics in Communicating Between Students and Lecturers via WhatsApp: A Study of 1st Semester Civics Students at Mataram University
WhatsApp is a conversation application that is widely used as a communication medium between students and lecturers in an academic environment. When using WhatsApp, you need to pay attention to appropriate communication etiquette. The guide used in this research is the communication ethics guide at Mataram University. The aim of this research is to examine the ethics of communication between students and lecturers via the WhatsApp application, especially for first semester students of the Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program (PPKn) FKIP, Mataram University. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative and data collection is carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that there are still violations of communication ethics among PPKn 1st semester students at Mataram University, such as not paying attention to time, not introducing themselves, using impolite language, and sending repeated messages (spam). The problem of violations of communication ethics is caused by students' lack of understanding about good communication ethics and their urgent needs in lectures. Therefore, there needs to be an emphasis on the importance of implementing communication ethics in order to create harmonious relationships in the educational environment. It is hoped that the results of this research can become a reference in increasing awareness of communication ethics among students
Gender Analysis in Verses of the Qur'an That Concern Trafficking
The purpose of this study is to analyze the Islamic perspective on the practice of human slavery through verses from the Qur'an. This is done because human slavery and human trafficking are still widespread today. The method used in this study is literature analysis with a historical and phenomenological approach. The focus of this research covers modern slavery in the form of human trafficking, which is considered a determining factor in the existence of slavery in modern times. This research is also supported by data and strengthened by previous studies. The study concludes that initially the Qur'an acknowledged and accepted slavery because it was a reality that had existed for a long time. Therefore, it was impossible to eliminate it instantly and revolutionary, but in subsequent stages it was gradually reduced. This began with liberation from the practice through psychological, theological, and economic approaches, followed by the stage of physical liberation. Finally, it calls for the abolition and prevention of slavery. The Qur'an prohibits the practice of slavery in any form. The sources used were verses from the Qur'an, Hadith, and books of Tafsir, as well as national and international laws and regulations related to the prohibition of human trafficking

TaRL-Based Instructional Differentiation to Optimize Understanding of Probability among High School Students with Heterogeneous Cognitive Profiles
Observations in class X.9 revealed that 68% of students scored below the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). This classroom action research aimed to improve students’ motivation and learning outcomes through the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach. The study was conducted in two cycles. The results indicated that the implementation of TaRL was effective in enhancing students’ academic achievement, with the average score increasing from 67.9 (pre-cycle) to 75.8 (cycle I) and 84.7 (cycle II). In addition, the percentage of students meeting the mastery criteria improved from 32% (pre-cycle) to 38% (cycle I) and 62% (cycle II). These findings suggest that the TaRL approach can improve students' understanding. However, TaRL may require more time when applied to students with low literacy skills. To address this limitation, teachers are encouraged to integrate TaRL with other instructional strategies, such as differentiated learning
Revealing the Gender Bias in the Interpretation of Al-Manar (Critique of the Epistemology of the Interpretation of QS. An-Nisā’: 34)
Muhammad Abduh’s life was closely intertwined with modernization, yet his interpretations reveal gender biases that have not been addressed in previous research. Abduh’s views on the relationship between men and women in the household align with the structural-functional theory, which posits that role differentiation is linked to gender. Based on this problem, this paper examines the epistemological foundation employed by Muhammad Abduh in interpreting QS. An-Nisā’: 34, a verse often used to justify male superiority over women. This study employs a qualitative method with critical analysis using conflict theory, which, in the author’s view, is related to Marxist-Socialist feminist theory. The findings indicate that Muhammad Abduh utilized the burhani method and the adabi ijtima’i approach. Furthermore, to strengthen his arguments, Abduh employed linguistic analysis, munasabah ayat, the use of riwayat, and comparative analysis. From this interpretative flow, these two lines of thought lead to role inequality because everything is measured based on physical attributes or fitrah. QS. An-Nisā’: 34 should be understood based on two periods, namely the time of the Prophet and the modern era, so that a common thread can be drawn regarding the differences in social conditions between the two. Thus, an understanding based on gender in determining role differentiation cannot be maintained because role dominance is determined by the social conditions of society
The Contribution of the Ijarah Imbt Financing Scheme to the Development of a Sustainable Halal Economy in East Lombok
The rapid development of the halal economy in recent decades demands support from a robust and sustainable Islamic financial system. Among the financing instruments that play a crucial role in supporting the sustainability of this ecosystem are the ijarah and Ijarah Muntahiyah Bittamlik (IMBT) contracts. Both contracts offer asset-based financing solutions free from usury, thus aligning with Islamic economic values. Through a gradual leasing and ownership scheme, ijarah and IMBT facilitate access for businesses, particularly halal MSMEs, to productive assets without requiring large upfront capital. This approach not only encourages real sector growth and business efficiency but also expands the reach of Islamic financial services in the community. This article aims to examine the contribution of ijarah and IMBT to halal economic growth, evaluate the challenges of their implementation, and propose sustainable optimization strategies
