The scientific literacy of Indonesian elementary school students is one of the lowest in the world. As was found in fifth-grade of the Subang Regency Elementary School, it was found that there was a lack of scientific literacy skills, especially in science process skills. This is caused by the lack of teachers in directing their students to relate science to the environment and technology. Based on this, this research was conducted to analyze students' learning activities and scientific literacy by applying the STEAM approach assisted by Canva media. The method applies the Kemmis & McTaggart Model Classroom Action Research (CAR) design (quantitative & qualitative). The data collection techniques used were observation, tests, and documentation by making 28 fifth-grade students of one of the elementary schools in Subang Regency (14 boys and 14 girls) the research subjects. This research was conducted for ten days from 27 May – 07 July 2024. This research found increased student activity and learning outcomes after implementing the STEAM approach assisted by Canva media. The results of student learning activities increased by 13%, from cycle 76%, to 89% in cycle II. Meanwhile, the results of students' scientific literacy ability tests also increased by looking at the comparison of classics completion from pre-cycle and cycle II of 72% from the pre-cycle test of 14%, the second cycle test being 86%. It can be concluded that the application of the STEAM approach assisted by Canva media can improve the learning activities and scientific literacy abilities of fifth-grade elementary school students in IPAS learning. Future researchers should research further regarding the third scientific literacy skill competency indicator "interpreting data according to scientific facts" using other research methods

Many countries around the world organize Mawlid al-Nabi celebrations with their own cultural characteristics. This study aims to provide an overview of Mawlid al-Nabi celebrations in various countries from a cultural perspective. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework was applied to facilitate the data screening process. Study objects were obtained from online databases such as JSTOR, Scopus, The Lens, Proquest, and Google Scholar using Boolean operators, and data analysis was conducted using cultural theories by Koentjoroningrat and Geert Hofstede. This study reviewed 16 studies from 16 different countries. The findings indicate that most countries celebrating Mawlid an-Nabi reflect aspects of large power distance and dominant collectivism. Additionally, all cultural elements of the societies contribute to the diversity of Mawlid an-Nabi celebrations. In terms of celebration rituals, there are two distinct approaches: inclusive and exclusive. These two methods are practiced in both majority and minority Muslim countries. Variations in interpretations and perspectives of Sharia law among Muslim communities result in differing views and controversies regarding the celebration of Mawlid an-Nabi. Get PDF
This journal explores how the contributions of Frithjof Schuon, a philosopher and mystic, are known for his concept of transcendent unity that emphasises the core unity of all the world's great religious traditions. In his thought, Schuon integrated the teachings of Sufism, especially the concept of wahdat al-wujud (unity of existence), to show that behind the diversity of religions lies one and the same essential truth. Schuon viewed differences in rituals and doctrines as merely manifestations of one transcendent reality. His philosophical approach broadens the understanding of Sufism and shows that mystical experiences in different religious traditions lead individuals towards the same divine unity. The research in this journal is a desk research that focuses on library materials as primary and secondary documents with an analytical-descriptive approach. The results of this study show that Schuon's contribution to the development of Sufism is significant in expanding inter-religious dialogue and enriching Sufism literature. By pointing out the essential similarities between mystical experiences in Islam and other religions, Schuon helped to strengthen inter-religious understanding. Schuon's views remain relevant in the study of comparative religion and contemporary spirituality, offering insights into the essential unity of mystical experience across different religious traditions
