    Turkish adaptation of the Manager Nurse Research Leadership Scale: Validity and reliability study

    Bu çalışma Yönetici Hemşire Araştırma Liderliği Ölçeği' ni Türk kültürüne uyarlayarak hemşirelik literatürüne kazandırılması amacıyla gerçekleştirildi. Araştırma kurum izinleri ve etik kurul onayı alınarak Ocak 2024 ve Haziran 2024 yılları arasında yürütülmüştür. Veri toplama aracı olarak, kişisel bilgi formu ve yönetici hemşire araştırma liderliği ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Ölçeğin psikometrik özellikleri Düzce ilinde görev yapan 300 hemşire üzerinde test edilmiştir. Çalışmaya katılan hemşirelerin %71,7'si kadın ve yaş ortalaması 34.28±7.76'dır. Katılımcıların %70,76'sı lisans mezunu olup, %53,33'ü devlet hastanesinde, %34'ü yoğun bakım biriminde çalışmaktadır. Ölçek uyarlamasında, çeviri, uzman paneli, geri çeviri ve pilot uygulama aşamaları izlenmiştir. Ölçeğin geçerliğinin değerlendirilebilmesi için, kapsam geçerliğine, görünüş geçerliğine, madde analizine ve yapı geçerliğine bakılmıştır. Ölçeğin güvenirlik analizi için Cronbach alfa, McDonald Omega, Spearman-Brown yarıya bölme ve test- re test katsayıları hesaplanmıştır. Çalışmanın bulguları; YHALÖ' nün Türkçe uyarlamasında açıklayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda ölçekteki 15 madde için tek boyutlu bir model belirlenmiştir. Açıklayıcı faktör analizinde elde edilen tek faktörlü yapı, toplam varyansın %73,64'ünü açıklamaktadır. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda model anlamlı bulunmuş (χ²=109,95, p=0,075) ve elde edilen model uyum indeksleri (χ²/sd= 1,17, CFI=0,99, RMSEA=0,027, SRMR=0,038, RMR= 0,055, NFI= 0,99, NNFI= 0,99, GFI= 0,99, AGFI= 0,99) ile iyi düzeyde uyum göstermiştir. Ölçeğin güvenirlik bulguları incelendiğinde; Cronbach α ve McDonald Omega katsayıları 0,97, Spearman-Brown katsayısı 0,94, ve test-tekrar test sınıf içi korelasyon katsayısı 0,97 olarak saptanmıştır. Bu sonuçlar ölçeğin mükemmel düzeyde güvenilir olduğunu göstermektedir. Sonuç olarak; Yönetici Hemşire Araştırma Liderliği Ölçeği Türkçe uyarlaması geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçektir ve yönetici hemşirelerin araştırma liderliği yetkinliklerini belirlemek için kullanılabilir. Anahtar Sözcükler: Hemşirelik, Liderlik, Yönetici Hemşire, AraştırmaThis study was conducted to adapt the Nurse Manager Research Leadership Scale into Turkish and introduce it to the nursing literature. The study was conducted between January 2024 and June 2025 with institutional permissions and ethics committee approval. Personal information form and nurse manager research leadership scale were used as data collection tools. The psychometric properties of the scale were tested on 300 nurses working in Duzce province. 71.7% of the nurses participating in the study were female and the average age was 34.28±7.76. 70.76% of the participants stated that they had a bachelor's degree, 53.33% worked in a state hospital, and 34% worked in an intensive care unit. In the adaptation of the scale, translation, expert panel, back-translation and pilot application stages were used. In order to evaluate the validity of the scale, content validity, face validity, item analysis and construct validity were examined. Cronbach alpha, McDonald omega, Spearman-Brown split half and test-retest coefficients were calculated for the reliability analysis of the scale. Findings of the study; As a result of the Exploratory Factor Analysis in the Turkish adaptation of YHALÖ, a one-dimensional model was determined for 15 items in the scale. The single-factor structure obtained in the explanatory factor analysis explains 73.64% of the total variance. As a result of the confirmatory factor analysis, the model was found to be significant (χ²= 109.95, p= 0.075) and it showed a good level of fit with the obtained fit indices (χ²/df= 1.17, CFI=0.99, RMSEA=0.027, SRMR=0.038, RMR= 0.055, NFI= 0.99, NNFI= 0.99, GFI= 0.99, AGFI= 0.99). When the reliability findings of the scale were examined; Cronbach α and McDonald Omega coefficients were found to be 0.97, Spearman-Brown coefficient was found to be 0.94, and test-retest intraclass correlation coefficient was found to be 0.97. These results show that the scale is perfectly reliable. In conclusion; The Turkish adaptation of the Nurse Manager Research Leadership Scale is a valid and reliable scale and can be used to determine the research leadership competencies of nurse managers

    Effects of green areas on quality of life in the example of Düzce city

    Yaşam kalitesi kavramı konusunda birçok bilim dalı uzun yıllardır çalışırken, peyzaj mimarları yaşam kalitesi kavramı üzerine son yıllarda çalışmaya başlamıştır. Bu çalışmalar kapsamında kentsel yaşamın öğelerinden biri olan açık yeşil bölgelerin yaşam kalitesini etkileyen faktörlerden biri olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu çalışmada açık ve yeşil bölgelerin yaşam kalitesi üzerine etkileri üzerinde çalışılmıştır. Açık ve yeşil bölgelerin yaşam kalitesi üzerinde etkisi ve kaliteli yaşamın arttırılmasına yönelik yeşil alanların önemini belirlemek bu çalışmanın başlıca amaçlarındandır. Çalışmaya yeşil alanlar ve yaşam kalitesi ile ilgili akademik araştırmalar yapılarak başlanmıştır. Batı Karadeniz Bölgesi'nde bulunan, Karadeniz ve Marmara iklim özelliklerini taşıyan, Ankara ve İstanbul gibi büyük şehirlerin ulaşımını sağlayan karayolu üzerindeki konumundan dolayı göç alan kent olan Düzce Kent çalışma alanı olarak seçilmiştir. Çalışma alanında aktif yeşil alan envanteri çıkarılmış imar için uygunluğuyla karşılaştırılarak eksiklikler ortaya konulmuştur. Çalışma alanına ilişkin yapılan anket çalışması araştırmanın ana materyalini oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem alanda yaşayan bireylerin yeşil alan kullanım özellikleri, yeşil alandan beklentileri ve yeşil alan memnuniyet düzeyleri anket aracılığıyla araştırılan konular olmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda çalışmaya başlarken kurulan hipotezlerin doğrulukları yorumlanmıştır. Sonuç olarak yeşil alanların yaşam kalitesine rekreasyonel açıdan fayda sağladığı, açık ve yeşil bölgelerin yaşam kalitesi düzeyini arttırdığı kanıtlanmıştır.While many branches of science have been working on the concept of quality of life for many years, landscape architects have started to work on the concept of quality of life in recent years. Within the scope of these studies, it has been concluded that open green areas, which are one of the elements of urban life, are one of the factors affecting the quality of life. In this study, the effects of open and green areas on the quality of life were studied. The main objectives of this study are to determine the effect of open and green areas on the quality of life and the importance of green areas for increasing the quality of life. The study was started by conducting academic research on green areas and quality of life. Düzce, a city located in the Western Black Sea Region, bearing the climate characteristics of the Black Sea and Marmara, and receiving migration due to its location on the highway that provides transportation to major cities such as Ankara and Istanbul, was selected as the study area. An active green area inventory was drawn in the study area and deficiencies were revealed by comparing it with its suitability for zoning. The survey study conducted on the study area constitutes the main material of the research. The green area usage characteristics of the individuals living in the sample area, their expectations from the green area and their green area satisfaction levels were the subjects investigated through the survey. As a result of the research, the accuracy of the hypotheses established at the beginning of the study were interpreted. As a result, it has been proven that green areas provide recreational benefits to the quality of life and that open and green areas increase the level of quality of life

    Dynamics of liquid and solid dielectrics: Extended lifespan with online dehydration system

    The life of the insulation in oil-immersed transformers is greatly shortened over time by the rise in moisture content if dehydration is not carried out when necessary. This study demonstrates the superior aspects of the online dehydration system in hermetically sealed and free-breathing transformers using Kraft and thermally upgraded Kraft paper as the main insulation material. Twenty separate scenarios have been investigated, each with its own unique combination of insulation type, temperature, moisture, and oxygen level. The results demonstrate that using online dehydration systems can significantly increase life expectancy. The insulation life of hermetically sealed transformers, for instance, is increased by 1.9 times at 110 degrees C and further at lower temperatures. Online methods outperform conventional dehydration systems in terms of prolonging the insulation's lifespan. Theoretically, offline (traditional) dehydration techniques can extend insulation life by 2.5 times, however, online dehydration systems can improve this rate by up to 7.43 times. Dehydration systems have been shown to significantly increase insulating lifespan, particularly in transformers operating at low temperatures. Also, thermally upgraded paper is more sensitive to dehydration processes than Kraft paper. Given all of these results, online dehydration technologies have the potential to significantly improve transformer durability and reliability

    Performance and wear analysis in machining of Co-based Haynes 25/L605 superalloy using sustainable cooling/lubrication agencies

    The cobalt-based Haynes 25 superalloy is a key material in sectors such as aerospace, medical, and energy, known for its outstanding high-temperature strength, wear and corrosion resistance. However, its low thermal conductivity and rapid work hardening rate make it inherently difficult to machine, highlighting the need for new cooling and lubrication methods. This work investigates the machinability of Haynes 25 under various sustainable cooling and lubrication techniques, including dry conditions, minimum quantity lubrication (MQL), nanofluids, and cryogenic COQ. Additionally, hybrid systems combining cryogenic COQ with nanofluids are also being investigated. The effectiveness of these approaches was ascertained by thorough investigations of surface roughness, cutting temperature, tool wear, and its mechanisms, and power consumption. Experimental results show that hybrid cooling systems especially those including nanofluids and cryogenic COQ significantly improve machining performance. Compared to dry machining, these methods minimized tool wear by 38 % and achieved up to a 44 % reduction in cutting temperature and a 32 % reduction in power usage. These results were a result of the enhanced thermal and tribological characteristics of nanofluids along with COQ's fast cooling capacity.     Vibration and noise analysis of rotor shaft of permanent magnet synchronous motor used in electric vehicles

    Daimi mıknatıslı senkron motorlar (DMSM), yüksek güvenilirlikleri ve yüksek dinamik performansları nedeniyle hassas robotlar, havacılık ve elektrikli araç endüstrileri gibi birçok endüstriyel uygulamada yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Avantajlarına rağmen, titreşimin DMSM'nin performansı üzerinde önemli bir etkisi vardır. DMSM'nin verimli ve güvenilir performansını sağlamak için rotor mili için doğru malzeme seçimi kritik öneme sahiptir. Bu çalışmada, elektrikli araçlarda kullanılan DMSM'nin rotor milinin motor titreşim ve gürültüsüne olan etkilerini karşılaştırmak için üç farklı rotor mili malzemesi (AISI 4140, AISI 4340 ve AISI 5140) kullanılmıştır. Deneyler, deneysel modal analiz, operasyonel sapma şekli (ODS) analizi ve gürültü analizi olmak üzere üç aşamada gerçekleştirilmiştir. Doğal frekanslar, mod şekilleri ve rotor millerinin sönümleme miktarı gibi modal parametreler olarak adlandırılan dinamik özellikleri belirlemek için Deneysel Modal Analiz (DMA) yapılmıştır. DMA ile elde edilen sonuçları doğrulamak için Sonlu Elemanlar Yöntemi (SEM) kullanılmıştır. ODS analizinde deneyler, DMSM üzerine belirlenmiş noktalara yerleştirilen ivmeölçerler üzerinden 600 d/d, 900 d/d, 1200 d/d ve 1500 d/d hız ve 0 kW, 2 kW, 4 kW, 6 kW ve 8 kW yük altında yapılmıştır. Gürültü analizi için ses ölçüm cihazı DMSM'den ölçüm yapmak üzere uygun konuma yerleştirilmiştir. En yüksek (1500 d/d) rotor mili çalışma hızında ve 0 kW, 2 kW, 4 kW, 6 kW ve 8 kW yük altında yapılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar rotor mili malzemesinin seçimi DMSM'nin titreşim ve gürültüsünü azaltmada önemli bir rol oynayabileceğini göstermiştir.Permanent magnet synchronous motors (DMSM) are widely used in many industrial applications such as precision robots, aerospace and electric vehicles industries due to their high reliability and high dynamic performance. Despite their advantages, vibration has a significant impact on the performance of DMSM. To ensure efficient and reliable performance of DMSM, the correct material selection for the rotor shaft is critical. In this study, three different rotor shaft materials (AISI 4140, AISI 4340 and AISI 5140) were used to compare the effects of the rotor shaft of DMSM used in electric vehicles on engine vibration and noise. The experiments were carried out in three stages: experimental modal analysis, operational deflection shape (ODS) analysis and noise analysis. Experimental Modal Analysis (DMA) was carried out to determine the dynamic characteristics called modal parameters such as natural frequencies, mode shapes and the amount of damping of the rotor shaft. Finite Element Method (SEM) was used to verify the results obtained by DMA. In the ODS analysis, the experiments were carried out at speeds of 600 rpm, 900 rpm, 1200 rpm and 1500 rpm and under loads of 0 kW, 2 kW, 4 kW, 6 kW and 8 kW using accelerometers placed on the DMSM at specified points. For noise analysis, the sound measuring device was placed in the appropriate position to make measurements from the DMSM. The experiments were carried out at the highest rotor shaft operating speed (1500 rpm) and under 0 kW, 2 kW, 4 kW, 6 kW and 8 kW loads. The overall results show that material selection can play an important role in reducing the vibration and noise of DMSM

    Investigation of Dielectric Anisotropy and Electrical Modulus-Impedance Properties of PCBM/E7 Composite for Organic Electronic Devices Applications

    This study investigates the dielectric anisotropy and electrical modulus-impedance properties of a PCBM/E7 composite material for organic electronic devices applications. The research examines a specially fabricated cell combining nematic liquid crystal E7 with [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) semiconductor. Through a comprehensive analysis of dielectric anisotropy, AC conductivity, electrical modulus, and impedance characteristics under varying frequencies and applied voltages (-6.0V to +6.0V), the study reveals distinct behavioral regions and multiple relaxation processes. Key findings include frequency-dependent dielectric anisotropy transitions, enhanced AC conductivity at higher frequencies and voltages, and voltage-modulated impedance characteristics. The observed dual-peak phase angle response suggests multiple relaxation mechanisms, indicating the composite's potential for voltage-tunable electrical properties in advanced optoelectronic applications

    Prediction of compressive strengths of Portland cement with random forest, support vector machine and gradient boosting models

    This study presents machine learning models to predict compressive strengths of 924 CEM I 42.5 R type Portland cements. Particularly the utilized machine learning algorithms are adaptive network-based fuzzy inference systems, Random Forest, Support Vector Machine, Extreme Gradient Boosting, Light Gradient Boosting and Categorical Boosting. For machine learning, collected data contained 15 input features that show the physical and chemical properties of the cements. The compressive strengths at 1, 2, 7 and 28 days were defined as the output parameters. Models for each hydration day were trained with 748 data points and tested with 176 data points. Then, compressive strength test results and machine learning predictions were compared using statistical methods such as R-squared, mean absolute percentage error and root-mean-square error. The results indicate that Gradient Boosting models, in particular, accurately predict compressive strength, demonstrating that it is possible to estimate compressive strength without mechanical tests. In our developed Gradient Boosting model, the RMSE accuracy exceeds 95%, further supporting its reliability. The developed machine learning models offer substantial savings in both time and cost for compressive strength estimation. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved

    Partial ampullary endoscopic mucosal resection in patients with difficult biliary cannulation: a prospective cohort study

    Background The rescue techniques available for cannulation failure are few in number and have severe limitations. We recently described partial ampullary endoscopic mucosal resection (PA-EMR) as a novel technique for difficult biliary cannulation. We aimed to demonstrate the efficacy and safety of PA-EMR for patients with difficult biliary cannulation in a larger cohort. Methods We conducted a prospective cohort study at our tertiary care referral hospital. We recorded demographic factors, procedure-related characteristics, and adverse event rates in patients with difficult biliary cannulation who underwent PA-EMR. Results Between June 2021 and June 2022, we performed 1073 consecutive endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography procedures on 962 patients; 40 patients (12 male, 28 female, with a mean age of 68.1 [SD 4] years) had difficult biliary cannulation and underwent PA-EMR. Technical success was 100%, and none of the patients required a second session. None of the patients had an adverse event, and we encountered no 30-day mortality. The most typical indication was bile duct stones (60%; n = 24), followed by periampullary tumors (15%; n = 6). The total procedure time was 923 (range 392-1224) seconds. Conclusion PA-EMR was an effective and safe rescue technique in patients with difficult biliary cannulation

    This chapter describes the impact of digital natives and freelancers on sustainable digital entrepreneurship. In other words, this study will only examine digital opportunities and human resources and explore their contribution to sustainable entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on the entrepreneurial tendencies of freelancers and digital natives. As a result of the literature review and content analysis of the research on entrepreneurship, digital entrepreneurship, digital natives, and freelancers, it is understood that freelancers exhibit stronger entrepreneurial characteristics and align more closely with the definition of an entrepreneur. In this sense, freelancers have been found to contribute more to sustainable entrepreneurship either by subsequently establishing businesses themselves or by acting as catalysts in start-up ventures. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved

Kendini sansürleme—kişinin sosyal onay ya da olumsuz değerlendirilme kaygısıyla kişisel görüş, inanç veya duygularını dile getirmekten kaçınma eğilimi—bireysel iyi oluşu ve kişilerarası iletişimi etkileyen kritik bir faktör olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Öte yandan, sosyal destek bireylerin başa çıkma kapasitesini artıran ve psikolojik uyumu teşvik eden koruyucu bir kaynak olarak yaygın şekilde kabul edilmektedir. Benlik kurgusunun kültürel önemi göz önünde bulundurularak, bu çalışmada farklı benlik kurgusu yönelimlerinin sosyal destek ile kendini sansürleme arasındaki ilişkiye aracılık edip etmediği araştırılmıştır
