Düzce Bölgesinde Mikobakteri Varlığı ve Antitüberküloz İlaç Direnci Profili: 18 Yıllık Deneyim
Aim: The aim of this study was to determine the frequency of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTBC) and non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) growth among mycobacterial isolates collected over 18 years from patients suspected of having tuberculosis, and to evaluate the resistance rates of MTBC strains to first-line anti-tuberculosis drugs. Material and Methods: A total of 17,199 clinical specimens, sent to the Mycobacteriology Laboratory, Department of Medical Microbiology, at Düzce University Health Application and Research Centre between 2004 and 2021 for suspected tuberculosis, were retrospectively analyzed in this study. To differentiate MTBC from NTM, the TBC Identification Test was performed to detect the MPT64 antigen of the MTBC. Ehrlich-Ziehl-Neelsen (EZN) staining method was used to detect the presence of acid-fast bacilli (AFB). Results: Out of the samples with suspected tuberculosis, mycobacterial growth was detected in 896 (5.2%) cases. Among these, 824 (91.9%) were identified as MTBC, while 72 (8.1%) were classified as NTM. EZN staining revealed that 404 (45.1%) out of the 896 isolates were found AFB positive. Analysis of first-line anti-tuberculosis drug susceptibility in the 824 MTBC isolates revealed that 194 were resistant to at least one first-line anti-tuberculosis drug. Of these, 135 isolates showed resistance to a single drug, while 59 exhibited resistance to more than one drug. Conclusion: Tuberculosis remains a significant public health problem both globally and in Türkiye. Regular investigation of local and regional growth patterns and resistance profiles is crucial for achieving the goals of tuberculosis elimination and eradication.Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, tüberküloz şüphesi olan hastalardan 18 yıl boyunca toplanan mikobakteri izolatlarında Mycobacterium tuberculosis kompleks (MTBK) ve tüberküloz dışı mikobakteri (TDM) üreme sıklığını belirlemek ve MTBK olarak izole edilen suşların birinci basamak anti-tüberküloz ilaçlara direnç oranlarını değerlendirmektir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Bu çalışmada, Düzce Üniversitesi Sağlık Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi Tıbbi Mikrobiyoloji Anabilim Dalı Mikobakteriyoloji Laboratuvarı'na 2004 ve 2021 yılları arasında tüberküloz şüphesi ile gönderilen toplam 17.199 klinik örnek geriye dönük olarak analiz edildi. MTBK'yi TDM'den ayırt etmek için, MTBK'nin MPT64 antijenini tespit etmek amacıyla TBC Tanımlama Testi yapıldı. Asit-dirençli basillerin (ARB) varlığını tespit etmek amacıyla Ehrlich-Ziehl-Neelsen (EZN) boyama yöntemi kullanıldı. Bulgular: Tüberküloz şüphesi ile gönderilen örneklerden 896 (%5,2) vakada mikobakteri üremesi tespit edildi. Bunlardan 824'ü (%91,9) MTBK olarak tanımlanırken 72'si (%8,1) TDM olarak sınıflandırıldı. EZN boyama sonucunda 896 izolatın 404'ünde (%45,1) ARB pozitifliği saptandı. 824 MTBK izolatında birinci basamak anti-tüberküloz ilaç duyarlılığının analizi, 194'ünün en az bir birinci basamak anti-tüberküloz ilaca dirençli olduğunu ortaya koydu. Bunlardan 135 izolat tek bir ilaca direnç gösterirken, 59'u birden fazla ilaca direnç göstermekteydi. Sonuç: Tüberküloz, hem küresel olarak hem de Türkiye'de önemli bir halk sağlığı sorunu olmaya devam etmektedir. Tüberkülozun ortadan kaldırılması ve yok edilmesi hedeflerine ulaşmak için yerel ve bölgesel üreme kalıplarının ve direnç profillerinin düzenli olarak araştırılması hayati önem taşımaktadır
Comparison of the effects of gastrojejunal anastomosis created with manual and magnetic compression in rats with metabolic syndrome model
Giriş ve amaç: Metabolik sendrom, birden fazla metabolik sorunun bir arada görüldüğü bir durumdur. Tanısı, hipertansiyon, bel çevresi genişliği, yüksek trigliserid, düşük HDL kolesterol ve yüksek açlık glukozundan en az üçünün varlığıyla konur. Tedavisinde ise temel olarak yaşam tarzı değişiklikleri yapılır; gerekirse cerrahi ve medikal tedaviler uygulanabilir. Cerrahi yöntemlerden biri olan loop bipartition ameliyatında, mide ile ince bağırsak arasında bir bağlantı oluşturularak besin emilimi azaltılır. Bu geçişi oluştururken kullanılan yeni tekniklerden biri, mıknatıslarla yapılan anastomozdur. Bu yöntemle basıya uğrayan dokularda doğal birleşme sağlanır ve dikişsiz bir geçiş oluşturulur. Bu çalışmada, metabolik sendrom modeli oluşturulan ratlarda klasik el ile anastamoz yapılan cerrahi yöntem ile mıknatıs kullanılarak manyetik bası ile anastomoz yapılan yöntem arasındaki farklılıkların araştırılması amaçlandı. Sonuçlar kan analizleri, doku incelemeleri ve anastomoz hattının dayanıklılığı ile değerlendirildi. Gereç ve yöntem: Bu çalışmada toplam 36 Wistar -Albino ırkı erkek rat kullanıldı. Kontrol grubunda 6, diğer deney gruplarında 10ar adet olacak şekilde (1 kontrol ve 3 deney grubu) planlama yapıldı. Deneklere fruktoz kullanılarak metabolik sendrom modeli oluşturuldu ve farklı yöntemler ile gastrojejunal anastamoz yapılarak iki yöntemin metabolik sendrom parametreleri üzerine etkisi karşılaştırıldı. Deney Grupları: 1.Grup-Kontrol Grubu (n:6): Deney boyunca normal gıda ve normal içme suyu verildi. 8 hafta sonra sham laparotomi uygulandı. 4 hafta işlem sonrası takip edildi ve sakrifiye edildi. 2.Grup,Metabolik Sendrom kontrol (MetS + K) grubu (n:10): 8 hafta metabolik sendrom modeli uygulandı ve 8 hafta sonra sham laparotomi uygulandı. 4 hafta işlem sonrası takip edildi ve sakrifiye edildi. 3.Grup, Metabolik Sendrom + Elle Gastrojejunal anastamoz (MetS + EGJ) grubu(n:10): 8 hafta metabolik sendrom modeli uygulandı ve el ile gastrojejunal anastamoz yapıldı. 4 hafta işlem sonrası takip edildi ve sakrifiye edildi. 4.Grup, Metabolik sendrom + Manyetik Bası ile Gastrojejunal Anastamoz grubu (MetS + MGJ) (n:10): 8 hafta metabolik sendrom modeli uygulandı ve manyetik bası ile gastrojejunal anastamoz yapıldı. 4 hafta işlem sonrası takip edildi ve sakrifiye edildi. Denekler deney başlangıcında, 8. haftada ve deney sonunda tartılarak ağırlıkları not alındı, kan şekeri ölçümleri yapıldı. Metabolik sendrom modeli oluşturulmak istenen deneklere %20 fruktoz ile hazırlanmış içme suyu per libidum olarak verildi. Tüm denekler 8. Haftada laparotomi uygulanarak gerekli işlem yapıldıktan sonra işlem sonrası 4 hafta takip edildi ve anestezi sonrasında kalpten kan alınarak sakrifiye edildi. Kan numuneleri Total Kolesterol, Trigliserid, Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) kolesterol, High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) kolesterol, HbA1C, İnsülin ,glukoz , Malondialdehyde (MDA) ölçümleri için kullanıldı. Bulgular: Kontrol grubuna göre diğer gruplarda 8. Haftada açlık kan şekeri ve vücut ağırlığı anlamlı düzeyde yüksek izlendi. 12. Haftada ise açlık kan şekeri, vücut ağırlığı ve biyokimyasal parametrelerin çoğunda anlamlı farklılıklar izlenmedi. Tüm gruplara yapılan oral glukoz tolerans testinde sonuçlar benzerdi. Antioksidan seviyesi görülen parametreler de aynı şekilde anlamlı olarak farklılık görülmedi. Mıknatıs ile anastomoz işleminin işlem süresi daha kısa gözlemlendi ve histopatolojik olarak incelendiğinde elle anastomoza göre daha düzenli bir hat görüldü. Sonuç: Mıknatıs ile anastomoz yeni gelişen bir tekniktir. El ile anastomoz ya da günümüzde daha sık kullanılan stapler ile anastomozlar yerine alternatif olarak tercih edilebilir. Bu çalışmada el ile ve mıknatıs ile anastomoz uygulanarak iki yöntemin biyokimyasal etkileri 1 aylık takip sonrasında benzer sonuçlanmıştır. Mıknatıs ile anastomozda teknik olarak işlem süresinin kısa olması ve işlemin uygulanmasının elle anastomoza göre daha basit gerçekleşiyor olması bu iki yöntem arasındaki en belirgin farklardandır. Deney tasarımı değiştirilerek ileri araştırmalar yapılması bu iki yöntem arasındaki uzun dönem sonuçlarda ya da farklı parametrelerde farklılıklar tespit etmekte faydalı olabilir.Introduction and Aim Metabolic syndrome is a condition characterized by the coexistence of multiple metabolic disorders. The diagnosis is made when at least three of the following criteria are present: hypertension, increased waist circumference, elevated triglycerides, low HDL cholesterol, and elevated fasting glucose. The primary treatment involves lifestyle modifications; however, surgical and medical interventions may be employed when necessary. One of the surgical techniques used in metabolic surgery is loop bipartition, which aims to reduce nutrient absorption by creating a connection between the stomach and the small intestine. Among the innovative techniques used to achieve this connection is magnetic compression anastomosis. This method promotes natural tissue fusion through compression and establishes a suture-free passage. This study aimed to investigate the differences between the traditional hand-sewn anastomosis technique and the magnetic compression anastomosis technique using magnets in rats with an experimentally induced metabolic syndrome model. The outcomes were evaluated based on blood analyses, histological examinations, and the durability of the anastomosis line. Materials and Methods A total of 36 male Wistar-Albino rats were included in the study. The study was designed with one control group (n=6) and three experimental groups (n=10 in each group). A metabolic syndrome model was established in the rats using fructose-enriched drinking water, and gastrojejunal anastomosis was performed using different methods to compare the effects of these techniques on metabolic syndrome parameters. Experimental Groups Group 1 - Control Group (n=6): Rats were given a normal diet and normal drinking water throughout the study. After eight weeks, sham laparotomy was performed. The rats were monitored for four weeks postoperatively and then sacrificed. Group 2 - Metabolic Syndrome Control Group (MetS + C, n=10): A metabolic syndrome model was established for eight weeks, followed by sham laparotomy. The rats were observed for four weeks postoperatively and then sacrificed. Group 3 - Metabolic Syndrome + Hand-Sewn Gastrojejunal Anastomosis Group (MetS + HGJ, n=10): A metabolic syndrome model was established for eight weeks, followed by hand-sewn gastrojejunal anastomosis. The rats were monitored for four weeks postoperatively and then sacrificed. Group 4 - Metabolic Syndrome + Magnetic Compression Gastrojejunal Anastomosis Group (MetS + MGJ, n=10): A metabolic syndrome model was established for eight weeks, followed by magnetic compression gastrojejunal anastomosis. The rats were monitored for four weeks postoperatively and then sacrificed. The body weights of the rats were recorded at the beginning of the study, at the end of the eighth week, and at the end of the experiment. Blood glucose levels were measured. Rats in the metabolic syndrome model groups were provided with 20% fructose-enriched drinking water ad libitum. At the end of the eighth week, laparotomy was performed, and the necessary surgical procedures were conducted. The rats were monitored for 4weeks postoperatively and sacrificed under anesthesia by cardiac puncture. Blood samples were collected and analyzed for total cholesterol, triglycerides, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, HbA1c, insulin, glucose, and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels. Results Compared to the control group, fasting blood glucose and body weight were significantly higher in the other groups at the 8th week. However, at the 12th week, no significant differences were observed in fasting blood glucose, body weight, and most biochemical parameters. The results of the oral glucose tolerance test were similar across all groups. Likewise, no significant differences were observed in the measured antioxidant levels. The anastomosis procedure performed with a magnet was observed to have a shorter procedure time, and histopathological examination revealed a more regular line compared to manual anastomosis. Conclusion Magnetic anastomosis is a newly emerging technique. It can be considered as an alternative to manual anastomosis or stapler anastomosis, which is more commonly used today. In this study, the biochemical effects of manual and magnetic anastomosis were compared, showing similar results after a one-month follow-up. The most notable differences between these two methods are the shorter procedure time and the technically simpler application of magnetic anastomosis compared to manual anastomosis. Conducting further research by modifying the experimental design may be beneficial in identifying differences in long-term outcomes or various parameters between these two methods
Some New Improvements of Hermite-Hadamard Type Inequalities Using Strongly (s, m)-Convex Function with Applications
The trapezoidal-type inequalities are discovered in this study using the fractional operator, which produces powerful results. We established a general identity for Caputo-Fabrizio integral operators and the second derivative function. Using this identity new error bounds and estimates for strongly (s, m)-convex functions are obtained. Moreover, some novel trapezoidal-type inequalities are offered taking this identity into account using the known inequalities like Young, Jensen, Holder and power-mean inequalities. Finally, we present some applications for matrix inequality, estimation error regarding trapezoidal formulas and special means for real numbers
Thermal energy storage and mechanical enhancement of cement composites containing PCM-impregnated and cement-slurry coated pumice aggregates
In the field of thermal energy management and building materials, PCM has been impregnated into aggregates and added to cement to produce composite concretes. However, challenges such as PCM leakage and poor interfacial bonding have limited their widespread application. To address these issues, this study utilized pumice aggregates with exceptional porosity, impregnated with PCM and coated with cement slurry, to develop enhanced composite concretes. The produced composites were characterized through compressive strength tests, thermal conductivity measurements, ultrasonic pulse velocity analysis, and detailed thermal regulation experiments under dynamic solar radiation. Thermal regulation experiments were conducted using thermal imaging under real-time heating and cooling processes. Results demonstrated that PCM-impregnated aggregates enhanced the thermal stability of concrete, with surface temperatures on PCM-based composites (MAL-2) being approximately 5 degrees C lower during heating compared to control samples (MAL-K). During the cooling process, MAL-2 exhibited delayed temperature reduction, stabilizing surface temperatures around 1 degrees C higher than MAL-K due to PCM's latent heat release. Experimental outcomes further presented that an increasing proportion of PCM-impregnated aggregates significantly reduced porosity from 13.55 % to 7.87 % and improved compressive strength from 12.7 MPa to 16.81 MPa. Thermal conductivity increased from 0.5706 to 0.7058 W/mK, while water absorption decreased from 13.94 % to 7.13 %. Ultrasonic pulse velocity values increased from 2.49 km/s to 2.58 km/s, indicating enhanced matrix integrity. This design, offering superior thermal regulation and mechanical performance, holds great promise for applications in energy-efficient building materials and sustainable construction practices
Effects of Drone Brood Homogenate on Wound Healing: An Experimental Study on Rats
Background Wound healing is one of the most interesting topics in orthopaedic surgery, and there are many studies on the factors and mechanisms affecting this process. Objectives To evaluated the macroscopic and histopathological results of drone larvae homogenate (DLH) on wound healing in a full-thickness wound model. Methods Thirty male wistar rats (6-8 weeks, 250 +/- 50 g) were used. A uniform circular full-thickness wound of approximately 18.44 +/- 1.45 (control), 19.02 +/- 1.24 (silverdin), 19.37 +/- 1.28 (DLH) mm2 was excised on the back of each rat. They were divided into control (n: 10), silverdin (n: 10) and DLH (n: 10) groups. DLH, collected from the beehive for 3-7 days in late spring and ready for use after homogenization and lyophilization. Two mL of physiological saline, silver sulfadiazine 1% and DLH were applied to the control, silverdin and DLH groups, respectively, and a thin layer that completely covered the wound, and repeated every 2 days for all groups for 14 days. The condition of the lesions was observed every 2 days and the amount of contraction and granulation tissue formed in the lesion was recorded. The lesioned areas was examined histopathologically. Results There was no statistically significant difference in lymphocyte, fibroblast, scar thickness, polymorphonuclear leukocyte (PMNL), minivascular density (CD34) and transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-beta 1) among the control, silverdin and DLH groups (p = 0.771, 0.434, 0.07, 0.396). The scar density of the DLH group was found to be higher than the control and silverdin groups (p = 0.003). The average wound diameter of the control group (6.87 +/- 0.93 mm2) on the 10th day was found to be higher than the silverdin (4.39 +/- 1.15 mm2) and DLH groups (4.16 +/- 0.55 mm2) (p = 0.0001). Primary repair versus reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament: Functional outcomes and postural stability compared with healthy controls
Purpose To compare functional outcomes and postural stability in patients undergoing primary anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair or hamstring tendon reconstruction, using healthy individuals as a reference. We hypothesized that primary ACL repair would result in superior subjective knee function and postural stability.Methods This comparative case-control study assessed pain, function, single-leg hop performance and postural stability were assessed using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), Lysholm Knee Score, International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC) Score and Biodex Biosway indices (OSI: overall stability index, API: anteroposterior index, MLI: mediolateral index) in bipedal and single-leg stance. Statistical analyses included one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) or Kruskal-Wallis tests for group comparisons, with paired t-tests or Wilcoxon signed-rank tests for within-group comparisons, depending on data distribution.Results A total of 113 participants were analyzed: primary repair (primary repair group [PRG], n = 40), reconstruction (reconstruction group [RG], n = 38), and control (control group [CG], n = 35) groups. Mean follow-up was 43.2 +/- 10.1 months in PRG and 43.9 +/- 11.7 months in RG. VAS scores were 1.37 +/- 1.56 in PRG and 1.89 +/- 1.62 in RG (mean difference [MD] = 0.51, 95% confidence interval [CI]: -0.19 to 1.23, p = 0.15). Lysholm scores were 92.6 +/- 6.95 in PRG and 89.5 +/- 9.09 in RG (MD = -3.02, 95% CI: -6.66 to 0.61, p = 0.10). IKDC scores were significantly higher in PRG (88.2 +/- 9.01) than RG (82.6 +/- 12.1) (MD = 5.63, 95% CI: 0.84 to 10.42, p = 0.02). On the operated side, MLI was lower in PRG (0.2 +/- 0.3) than RG (0.3 +/- 0.2) (MD = -0.05, 95% CI: 0.008 to 0.11, p = 0.02), indicating better mediolateral stability. Single-leg hop distance was shorter in RG (1.40 +/- 0.28 m) and PRG (1.43 +/- 0.27 m) compared with CG (1.62 +/- 0.18 m) (CG vs. RG: MD = 0.22, 95% CI: 0.07 to 0.36; CG vs. PRG: MD = 0.18, 95% CI: 0.03 to 0.33; p = 0.001), despite LSI values exceeding 90% (RG: 93.1 +/- 8.5%; PRG: 95.1 +/- 6.3%).Conclusions Primary anterior cruciate ligament repair provides comparable functional and postural outcomes to reconstruction and may offer superior subjective knee function and mediolateral balance in selected patients.Level of Evidence Level III

Kuyeko Nalbiyʼin yazılarında Adıge (Çerkez) dünyası
N.Y.Kuyeko'nun yaratıcı fenomeni çağdaş Adıge edebiyatı tarihinin en çarpıcı örneklerinden biri olarak adlandırılabilir. Şair, nesir yazarı, oyun yazarı, yayıncı, kamu figürü Nalbiy Kuyeko, mitolojik roman ve ibretlik kısa hikâye gibi yeni edebi türleri bünyesinde barındıran ve kendine özgü bir üslup oluşturan yenilikçi bir yazardı. N. Kuyeko'nun "Atların Alası Beçkan", "Hırçın dağ", "Yalnız Ormanı" adlı öyküleri, Adıge halkının mitsel düşüncesinin ve dünya görüşünün özelliklerini yansıtan önemli bir mitopoetik katman içerir. Yazarın mitolojik şiir kullanımı belirli sanatsal ve estetik amaçların gerçekleştirilmesinde güçlü bir araç olmuştur. Adıgelerin etno-varoluşunun özelliklerinin canlı ve sanatsal olarak ifade edilmesine ve aynı zamanda felsefi olarak genelleştirilmiş imgelerle yeniden yaratılmasına katkıda bulunmuştur. Çalışmanın amacı, N. Kuyeko'nun sanatsal dünyasını, yazarın farklı yıllara ait öykülerinde doğa imgesini yeniden üretmesindeki özellikleri, doğa imgesinin oluşumunda mitopoetiğin etkisini; ayrıca yazarın yaratıcı üslubunun doğa imgesinin mitolojikleştirilmesi derecesine göre evrimini incelemek ve doğanın dünyanın ulusal algısındaki yerini analiz etmektir. Doğa imgesinin oluşumunda toprak, ateş, orman, ağaç gibi başlıca mitolojik öğeler incelenerek farklı yıllara ait öykülerde mitolojikleştirilme derecesi belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada hikâyelerin temaları ve sorunları, olay örgüsü ve kompozisyonel yapıları, tür özgünlüğü, lirizm ve "büyülü" gerçekçilik özellikleri ele alınmakta ve eserlerin dilsel özelliklerine dikkat çekilmektedir. Çalışma, karşılaştırmalı-tipolojik, metinsel-mantıksal araştırma yöntemlerinin ayrılmaz bir parçası olduğu bütünleşik bir yaklaşıma dayanmaktadır. Bu yaklaşım ile N. Kuyeko'nun öykülerinin mitopoetik bağlamda doğa imgesinin özelliklerinin incelenmesi ve bunların modern genel edebiyat sürecindeki yerinin tartışılması mümkün olmuştur. Çalışmada, orijinal dildeki eserlerin metinsel analizine odaklanılmakta, doğa tasvirinin mitopoetikniteliği ve ulusal dünya algısının yeniden yaratılmasındaki rolü, yaratıcı üslubun özellikleri ve yazarın sanatsal dünyası hakkında çıkarımlar ortaya konmaktadır.The creative phenomenon of N.Yu. Kuyek can be called one of the most striking in the history of modern Adyghe literature. Poet, prose writer, playwright, publicist, public figure Nalby Kuyek was an innovative writer who embodied new literary genres, such as the myth-novel, the parable story, and formed a unique idiostyle. N. Kuek's stories "The Excellent Horse Bechkan", "Black Mountain", and "The Forest of Solitude" contain a significant mythopoetic layer reflecting the peculiarities of the myth-thinking of the Adyghe and their worldview. The writer's appeal to mythopoeticism was a powerful tool for the implementation of the set artistic and aesthetic tasks. ӏt contributed to the recreation of the peculiarities of the ethno-existence of the Adyghe through artistically expressive and philosophically generalized bright images. The aim of the study is to examine the artistic world of N. Kuyek, the features of reproducing the image of nature in the writer's stories of different years, the specifics of the influence of mythopoetics on the formation of the image of nature, as well as the evolution of the writer's creative style by the degree of mythologization of the image of nature, and analyzing the place of nature in the national perception of the world. The leading mythologemes of earth, fire, forest, and trees in the formation of the image of nature are studied and the degree of its mythologization in the stories of different years is trashed out. The themes and problems, plot and compositional construction of the stories, genre originality, features of lyricism and "magical" realism are explored, and the linguistic features of the works are analyzed. The study is based on an integrated approach, an integral part of which are comparative-typological and textual-logical research methods. This makes it possible to identify the specifics of the image of nature in the mythopoetic context of N. Kuyek's stories and discuss their place in the modern general literary process. ӏn the study, through textual analysis of the texts in the original language, the study draws conclusions about the mythopoetic nature of the depiction of nature and its role in recreating the national perception of the world and the features of the creative manner and the artistic world of the author. The effect of open green areas in organized industrial zones on the quality of life of employees: The case of Dilovası Organized Industrial Zone
Ağır iş yükü ve uzun çalışma saatleri olan organize sanayi çalışanlarının iş yerleri çevresindeki açık yeşil alanlar yaşam kalitesine etkilidir. Bu çalışmada açık yeşil alanların çalışanların yaşam kalitesine ne şekilde etki ettiğini belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Dilovası OSB'de açık yeşil alanların dağılımı belirlenmiş ve OSB'ler için açık yeşil alan planlama ve tasarım önerileri ortaya konulmuştur. Çalışanların bu alanları kullanması ile yaşam kalitesi ölçeğinde verdikleri cevaplar karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda Dilovası Organize Sanayi Bölgesi'nde çalışan toplamda 200 kişiye araştırmanın ölçeği uygulanmış, çalışanların boş zaman aktivitelerine katılımlarına yönelik 3'lü likert tipi anket, Mutluluk ve yaşam kalitesi ölçeğinde 5'li likert tipi anket uygulanmıştır. Bulgular analiz edildiğinde araştırmaya katılan bireylerin demografik özelliklerinin, rekreasyonel aktivitelere katılım düzeylerine pozitif yönde etki ettiği görülmüştür. Buna ek olarak, bireylerin rekreasyonel aktivitelere katılım seviyelerinin de bireylerin mutluluk seviyeleriyle yine pozitif yönde bir ilişkisi olduğu tespit edilmiş, mutluluk seviyesi arttıkça çalışanların yaşam kalitesinin de doğru oranda yükseldiği tespit edilmiştir.Open green areas around the workplaces of organized industrial workers with heavy workloads and long working hours are effective on the quality of life. This study aims to determine how open green areas affect the quality of life of employees. The distribution of open green areas in Dilovası Organized Industrial Zone was determined and open green area planning and design suggestions for OIZs were presented. The answers given by employees on the quality of life scale were compared with the use of these areas. In this direction, the scale of the research was applied to a total of 200 people working in Dilovası Organized Industrial Zone, a 3-point Likert-type survey was applied for employees' participation in leisure activities, and a 5-point Likert-type survey was applied on the happiness and quality of life scale. When the findings were analyzed, it was seen that the demographic characteristics of the individuals participating in the study positively affected their participation in recreational activities. In addition, it was determined that the participation levels of individuals in recreational activities were also positively related to the happiness levels of individuals, and it was determined that as the happiness level increased, the quality of life of employees increased at the same rate
Retirement psychology scale: development and standardization
ObjectivesThis study was conducted with the aim of developing a scale to measure 'retirement psychology' in order to better understand the impact of the retirement process on individuals' psychological states.MethodA total of 437 retired people took part in the study. The Retirement Psychology Scale was developed in five stages. In the first stage, items were generated through interviews with retired individuals and validity and reliability tests were conducted. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were then carried out to test the validity and reliability of the scale.ResultsThe analyses revealed that the scale consists of four dimensions: negative impact, positive impact, relaxation and economic dimension, with a total of 37 items. This study provides a scientific tool for identifying and measuring the potential impact of the retirement process on individuals' psychological states.ConclusionThe developed scale can contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the psychological effects of the retirement process and its aftermath. Investigating the impact of retirement on individuals' quality of life and happiness is of both individual and societal importance, and this study can be seen as an important step in this regard
