    Get PDF
This paper aims to examine an approach that studies many Euler-Maclaurin-type inequalities for various function classes applying Riemann-Liouville fractional integrals. Afterwards, our results are provided by using special cases of obtained theorems and examples. Moreover, several Euler-Maclaurin-type inequalities are presented for bounded functions by fractional integrals. Some fractional Euler-Maclaurin-type inequalities are established for Lipschitzian functions. Finally, several Euler-Maclaurin-type inequalities are constructed by fractional integrals of bounded variation

In this study, NiO nanoparticles (NiO NPs) and NiO@ZnO nanocomposite were synthesized for the first time using a Salvia officinalis (S. officinalis) extract-assisted hydrothermal process. The S. officinalis leaf extract served as a natural reducing and capping agent. The synthesized NiO NPs, ZnO NPs, and NiO@ZnO nanocomposite were thoroughly characterized using various techniques, including Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis), powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), energy-dispersive spectrometry (EDS) mapping, vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), and cyclic voltammetry (CV) analysis. The direct and indirect band gap energies of NiO NPs, ZnO NPs, and NiO@ZnO were found to be 3.00, 2.28, and 2.71 eV, and 2.63, 1.91, and 2.23 eV, respectively. The crystallite sizes were analyzed using PXRD spectra through Scherrer and Williamson-Hall (W-H) methods. TEM analysis revealed that the average particle sizes of NiO NPs, ZnO NPs, and NiO@ZnO were 16.0, 207.5, and 31.0 nm, respectively. The magnetic properties of all nanomaterials were assessed via the VSM technique. Specific capacitance (Cs) values, determined from CV voltammograms, were 196.8, 632.4, and 785 Fg-1 at a scan rate of 25 mVs-1 for NiO NPs, ZnO NPs, and NiO@ZnO, respectively. These findings suggest that the green-synthesized NiO@ZnO nanocomposite holds significant potential as a high-performance electrode material for supercapacitor applications.Duzce University Scientific Project [2022.05.03.1365]This work was supported by the Duzce University Scientific Project (Number: 2022.05.03.1365)

    Get PDF
This research is on the new versions of Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities. These inequalities established by means of convex mappings include tempered fractional integral operators. Obtaining these inequalities, well-known Holder inequality and power mean inequality are also utilized. The resulting Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities are a generalization of some of the studies on this subject, including Riemann-Liouville fractional integrals. What's more, new results are obtained through special choices

AIM: To evaluate the relationship between the surgical techniques, the waiting time for surgery, postoperative distance between the graft-bone margin and the percentage of bone resorption, we analyzed patients who underwent cranioplasty. Cranioplasty is a necessary surgery to preserve brain tissue and provide an appropriate microenvironment. MATERIAL and METHODS: In this study, patients who underwent autologous bone grafting after decompressive craniectomy by the Neurosurgery Clinic of University of Health Sciences Ankara Training and Research Hospital between 2018 and 2021 were examined. RESULTS: Thirty-nine patients who underwent autologous cranioplasty following decompressive craniectomy were included in the study. The average expected time for cranioplasty surgery following decompressive craniectomy was 16.97 +/- 13.478 weeks (min:2 max:62 weeks). The expected time between decompressive craniectomy and cranioplasty surgeries and resorption rates were compared. The resorption rate was above 30% in 7 of 10 patients with 24 weeks or more between craniectomy and cranioplasty, and less than 30% in 17 of 25 patients in surgeries less than 24 weeks (p=0.04). Following cranioplasty surgery, the distance between the graft-bone margin and the resorption rates were also compared. In this analysis, statistically significant differences were detected between the distance between the graft-bone border and the resorption rates. Resorption rates increased in 15 of 19 patients with a postcranioplasty distance of 1 mm or more (p<0.00001). CONCLUSION: Early cranioplasty surgery is important in order to reduce complications that may occur after craniectomy. In addition, it is important to keep the defect area small in size during craniectomy surgery and to keep the cutting edge thinner when the bone graft is taken, in order to reduce the development of bone graft resorption

    Get PDF
In the field of electronics, technological advancements bring about alterations in electronic devices. With the fast -paced advancements in the era of communication, the frequency bands are becoming congested. One of the frequencies utilized by Wi-Fi-6, 6 GHz, has garnered its share of attention in these changes. This study proposes the design of a Butterworth Bandpass Filter that can be utilized in the IEEE C Band, employing both lumped elements and microstrip transmission lines. The methodology for determining the length and width of the transmission lines, as well as the considerations taken into account during their modification, is provided. A composite filter comprising of both elements and lines is also presented. The combined filter design is aimed at resolving issues arising from the increasing frequency. During the design process, an 8th -order lowpass filter is generated using the Butterworth normalized table, and a bandpass filter with a 200 MHz bandwidth and a 6 GHz center frequency is obtained through the use of a resonant circuit. The dimensions of the transmission lines are determined using theoretical formulas and verified through Matlab files and the MWO-AWR optimization tool. The voltage gain graphs generated demonstrate that the designs created on an FR4 substrate are suitable for use in the IEEE C Band for Wi-Fi-6

Experimental Study on Engineering Properties of Recycled Olivine Aggregate Filled CF Reinforced Electrically Conductive Mortars

    Get PDF
Electrically conductive concretes produced for different purposes were introduced years ago and since then, intensive scientific research has been going on. Studies in the literature have generally been carried out on conventional concretes with electrical conductivity for floor applications. The current study investigates carbon fiber reinforced mortars filled with fine olivine aggregate. Fine aggregate filled mortars are generally produced for building facade applications. Within the scope of the study, the mechanical, electrical, dynamic and microstructural properties of cementitious mortars containing 0.5%, 0.75% and 1.0% carbon fiber and 100% recycled olivine aggregate were investigated. The purpose of performing dynamic resonance tests was to investigate the effect of carbon fiber on damping ratio. 28-Day compressive, flexural, dynamic resonance, ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV), Leeb hardness and dry density tests of conductive mortar samples obtained from four different mixtures were performed. In addition, 2, 14, 28, 90 and 180 days electrical conductivity tests were carried out to determine their resistivity in different time intervals. The purpose of performing dynamic resonance tests was to investigate the effect of carbon fiber on damping ratio. While a significant positive effect of CF on electrical conductivity and damping ratio was observed, a negligible decrease in mechanical results was observed. Calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) structure formed by hydration using olivine filler in the cement mixture confirmed the binding formations

Acute kidney disease beyond day 7 after major surgery: a secondary analysis of the EPIS-AKI trial

    Get PDF
Purpose: Acute kidney disease (AKD) is a significant health care burden worldwide. However, little is known about this complication after major surgery. Methods: We conducted an international prospective, observational, multi-center study among patients undergoing major surgery. The primary study endpoint was the incidence of AKD (defined as new onset of estimated glomerular filtration rate (eCFR) < 60 ml/min/1.73 m2 present on day 7 or later) among survivors. Secondary endpoints included the relationship between early postoperative acute kidney injury (AKI) (within 72 h after major surgery) and subsequent AKD, the identification of risk factors for AKD, and the rate of chronic kidney disease (CKD) progression in patients with pre-existing CKD. Results: We studied 9510 patients without pre-existing CKD. Of these, 940 (9.9%) developed AKD after 7 days of whom 34.1% experiencing an episode of early postoperative-AKI. Rates of AKD after 7 days significantly increased with the severity (19.1% Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes [KDIGO] 1, 24.5% KDIGO2, 34.3% KDIGO3; P < 0.001) and duration (15.5% transient vs 38.3% persistent AKI; P < 0.001) of early postoperative-AKI. Independent risk factors for AKD included early postoperative-AKI, exposure to perioperative nephrotoxic agents, and postoperative pneumonia. Early postoperative-AKI carried an independent odds ratio for AKD of 2.64 (95% confidence interval [CI] 2.21–3.15). Of 663 patients with pre-existing CKD, 42 (6.3%) had worsening CKD at day 90. In patients with CKD and an episode of early AKI, CKD progression occurred in 11.6%. Conclusion: One in ten major surgery patients developed AKD beyond 7 days after surgery, in most cases without an episode of early postoperative-AKI. However, early postoperative-AKI severity and duration were associated with an increased rate of AKD and early postoperative-AKI was strongly associated with AKD independent of all other potential risk factors. © The Author(s) 2024.Baxter International; Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG, (KFO342-1, ME5413/1-1, ME5413/1-2, ZA428/18-1, ZA428/21-1); Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DF
