Obrežje Ljubljanice na Prulah v Ljubljani v bronasti in zgodnji železni dobi

In 2011 and 2012, archaeological rescue excavations were carried out on the right bank of the Ljubljanica River at Prule in Ljubljana. The older stratigraphy of the site and a selection of typical ceramic and bronze artefacts are the main focus of this paper. The finds from the river embankment and the researched river channel and later marshy floodplain date from the Middle Bronze Age to the Early Iron Age, i.e. from ca. the 15th or the 14th to the 8th cent. BC. The younger prehistoric and Roman stratigraphic sequence is presented only briefly.V letih 2011 in 2012 so potekala zaščitna arheološka izkopavanja na desnem bregu Ljubljanice na Prulah v Ljubljani.

The article deals with the flattening quotient (maximum width / maximum thickness) of osseous points with massive base from the sites of Potočka zijalka, Slovenia (117 points) and La Ferrassie, France (91 points) in connection with the assumption about the evolutionary trends of these points in relative time as represented by the original stratigraphy of the two sites. We assume that the development was aimed at increasing the strength of the points used for spears, javelins and perhaps also arrows. While the tendency of flattening quotient of the deer antler points at La Ferrassie is consistent with the evolutionary hypothesis, this is not quite the case with the osseous points from Potočka zijalka. In La Ferrassie, the use of deer antlers, which was transferred from split-based points to points with a massive base, required a different technical solutions of strength than in Potočka zijalka, where bone replaced antler as the raw material for making points. This allowed for better technical results. For various reasons, in which the raw material played an important role, the development of the points in Potočka zijalka was not as straightforward as in La Ferrassie.Članek obravnava količnik sploščenosti (največja širina / največja debelina) organskih konic z masivno bazo z najdišča Potočka zijalka v Sloveniji (117 konic) in La Ferrassie v Franciji (91 konic) v povezavi z domnevo o razvojnih težnjah teh konic v relativnem času, kot ga opredeljuje prvotna stratigrafija obeh najdišč.

The digitalization of folklore has transformed the practices of folklorists’ ethnographic fieldwork. Drawing on the experience of collecting digital family humour, the article discusses the peculiarities of digital folklore, its interconnections with oral folklore, and the ways to record and interpret it. As context is an important dimension for folklore interpretation, the analysis suggests ways to collect both the content of digital folklore and its offline contexts by combining various fieldwork methods.

Nastanek klastičnih sedimentov v jami Atl v gorovju Sierra Zongolica, Veracruz, Mehika, in njihova povezava s pokritostjo tal

Allochthonous cave sediments contain important paleontological and archaeological records as well as indicators of recent ecological processes. Correct interpretation of these records requires knowledge about the sediment sources and deposition processes, in particular the interrelation of vertical and lateral sediment transport. Compared to platform karst, knowledge about tropical mountainous karstic geosystems is quite limited. To trace the origin and transportation pathways of sediments, we investigated Atl Cave in the Sierra Zongolica Mountain range, Veracruz, Mexico. Field exploration and mapping have shown that the cave presents two horizontal stages representing phreatic conduits and ancient stability stages and is an epigenetic cave with a point recharge zone at the entrance, which is fed by a stream. A comparative study of the surface soil profiles and the diamicton facies of the cave floor deposits included field morphological description, micromorphological observations, grainsize analysis, colorimetry, bulk chemical composition via XRF, and clay mineral identification by XRD. The results demonstrate that the cave deposits have more similarities with the young alluvial and colluvial soils near the entrance than with mature Terra Rossa developed over the limestone formation that hosts the cave. This proves the predominant role of the lateral alluvial transport by high energy events in the formation of the cave diamicton with very restricted contribution of the vertical erosion of Terra Rossa. The main source rock for alluvial and colluvial materials transported to the cave are siliciclastic sediments of the Necoxtla formation, whereas Terra Rossa soils were formed from tephra of the Orizaba volcano. High CIA values, high clay content with a predominance of kaolinite, point to greater weathering of Terra Rossa in comparison with other studied surface and underground materials. To dokazuje prevladujočo vlogo lateralnega aluvialnega prenosa z visokointenzivnimi dogodki pri oblikovanju jamskega diamikta z zelo majhnim prispevkom vertikalne erozije tal Terra Rossa. Glavna izvorna kamnina aluvialnih in koluvialnih materialov, ki tvorijo nanose v jami, so siliciklastični sedimenti formacije Necoxtla, tla Terra Rossa pa so nastala iz tefre vulkana Orizaba. Visoke vrednosti kemijskega indeksa sprememb in visoka vsebnost gline s prevladujočim kaolinitom kažejo na večji vremenski vpliv tal Terra Rossa v primerjavi z drugimi proučenimi površinskimi in podzemnimi materiali

    No full text
.Lower Styria and Carniola, in today’s Slovenia, define the origins of the Graz pianist Marie Pachler née Koschak and, at the same time, also appear as reference points throughout her life. For this reason, attention will be drawn to this aspect for the first time. New sources show that Pachler remained a searcher throughout her life and expressed her thoughts in letters addressed to her female relatives from these regions. The correspondence reveals numerous gen- der-specific aspects as well as socio-cultural details typical of the time.Spodnja Štajerska in Kranjska v današnji Sloveniji nista le deželi izvora graške pianistke Marie Pachler, rojene Koschak, temveč tudi osrednji stičišči njenega življenja.

    No full text
The paper explores the history, current state, and significance of studying the Polesian ethnocultural region, with emphasis on Ukrainian Polesia. It outlines the region’s archaic specificity and its diffuse ethnocultural field. The research relies on dialectological and typological methods, with an ethnolinguistic approach to semantic and structural unity in folklore. It has demonstrated the cultural, linguistic, ethnic, and other forms of elusiveness that complicate the representation of Polesia as a unified entity, thereby framing it instead as a multicultural and heterogeneous region.V prispevku so obravnavani zgodovina, trenutno stanje in znanstveni pomen preučevanja poleškega etnokulturnega območja, s posebnim poudarkom na ukrajinskem Polesju. Predstavljena sta arhaična posebnost območja in njegov razpršen etnokulturni prostor.
