    PETRI NET MODELLING OF CONCURRENCY CONTROL IN DISTRIBUTED DATABASE SYSTEM

    The life time of transaction is divided into two stages: executing stage and committing stage. At the executing stage, transaction access data through a concurrency control, while at the committing stage, a commit protocol is executed to ensure failure atomicity. A transaction that requests a lock can be blocked by a committing transaction for a long time due to a long delay in completing the committing procedure. The potential long delay in transaction commitment makes concurrency control wait until transaction finish the committing stage. This study will modify concurrency control, the modified of concurrency control allows give the locks that are still on hold by another transaction in their completion of committing stage. In modeling the concurrency control, Petri Net is used. The simulation has show increase the commit throughput of transaction, but the issue of abort transaction has significant impact to modified concurrency control, the simulation has show increase the abort throughput of transaction.Permalink: http://jsiskom.undip.ac.id/index.php/jsk/article/view/2

    ANALISIS SINYAL ELECTRONIC NOSE BERBASIS WAVELET MENGGUNAKAN SUPPORT VECTOR MACHINE UNTUK IDENTIFIKASI JENIS TEH HITAM

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan identifikasi terhadap aroma teh hitan. Aroma teh hitam didapat dari hasil pengukuran alat Electronic Nose (E-nose) yang menggunakan rangkaian sensor gas. Identifikasi aroma teh hitam menggunakan dilakukan dengan Principal Component AnalysisSupport (PCA) dan Support Vector Machine (SMV).   Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tahapan analisis data keluaran dari rangkaian sensor yang berupa tegangan dengan menggunakan wavelet. Data tegangan listrik berasal dari 4 buah sensor TGS880, TGS826, TGS822, TGS825. Denoising dan kompres dari sinyal keluaran sensor ditransformasi menggunakan wavelet Daubechies yaitu D4, D8 dan D20, dengan tingkat dekomposisi 3 dan 6.   Transformasi PCA dilakukan terhadap fitur ekstrasi yang dihasilkan dari analisis wavelet, sebelum dimasukan ketahap klasifikasi pola. PCA digunakan untuk mengurangi dimensi dari data fitur ekstrasi tanpa kehilangan banyak informasi signifikan yang ada di dalamnya. Hasli pengujian menunjukan SVM mambu memberikan klasifikasi dengan akurasi 97,53% menggunakan wavelet Daubechies D20 dengan tingkat dekomposisi 6.     Abstract— Alumni is one part of being an educational institution. The presence of alumni on the current one part in the assessment of accreditation an institution. By knowing where alumni of the institution to measure the extent of success in educating up to ready to work. To find out where the alumni can use the survey mentode often or by using the questionnaire that will be distributed during one pass, or by using other media that can be used to track the whereabouts of alumni. The development of information technology that exists today can play a role in supporting the search alumni. The role will involve is to make it easier for interested parties are concerned educational institutions, alumni, and stakeholeder. One of the use of information technology is to utilize the Internet network. By utilizing this network the system is built to connect globally, so it will be easier when going to access information on the alumni or feedback. The results obtained from this study is an alumni of tracer application that can be used to track the whereabouts of alumni. The system can run well on multiple web browsers.     The research was carried out in order to build a web-based computer application systems to support the smooth process of accreditation of study programs by BAN PT at the Faculty of Engineering, University Eleven March Surakarta. It is planned to build a system that support the accreditation process of study programs, particularly in preparation of Borang Akreditasi. The system was built for the purpose of a database system to accommodate the extraction data from administrative units in the Faculty of Engineering, University Sebelas Maret Surakarta. Development of systems and applications is done using open-source software Linux-Ubuntu Server operating system, the MySQL database server, and PHP as programming language. The end result of this engineering-research is developed a system that can support the implementation of the accreditation in the Faculty of Engineering Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta

    Gujarati Handwritten Numeral Optical Character through Neural Network and Skeletonization

    This paper deals with an optical character recognition (OCR) system for handwritten Gujarati numbers. One may find so much of work for Indian languages like Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Bangala, Malayalam, Gurumukhi etc, but Gujarati is a language for which hardly any work is traceable especially for handwritten characters. The features of Gujarati digits are abstracted by four different profiles of digits. Skeletonization and binarization are also done for preprocessing of handwritten numerals before their classification. This work has achieved approximately 80,5% of success rate for Gujarati handwritten digit identification

    Model Artificial Neural Network based on Particle Swarm Optimization Model For Inflation Rate Forecast

    Prediction of inflation is needed by policy makers, investors and companies to plan economic strategies in anticipation of the inflation rate and financial planning in the future. Accurate prediction of the inflation rate will contribute to making the right decision. Many modeling used by researchers to obtain the best prediction accuracy is the most common and econometric models (eg AR, MA, ARIMA, etc.) but in the development, models of artificial neural network (ANN) from widely used because it proved that ANN models have better accuracy econometric models, especially compared to the predictions of inflation. ANN reliability further developed by several researchers through integration with other models, one of which integration between the ANN is optimized by particle swarm optimization (PSO). This integration is used to overcome weaknesses and improve the mutual advantages to each model in order to obtain a better measurement results. Testing capabilities in research, testing the ability of artificial neural network models (ANN), integrated with particle swarm optimization (PSO) based on the weight attribute or attribute weighting, hereinafter referred to awPSO-ANN. Test results show that the prediction rate of general inflation awPSO-ANN gives better RMSE value (0.157) compared ANN before the optimization (0.181

    Sistem Pengenalan Iris Mata Berdasar Tekstur Menggunakan Ekstraksi Ciri Energi pada Alihragam Wavelet Haar

    Human iris has a very unique pattern which is different for each person so it is possible to use it as a basic of biometric recognition. To identify texture in an image, texture analysis method can be used. There is some texture analysis method, one of them is wavelet that extract the feature of image based on energy. The texture analysis using energy features which are in the wavelet transform. Based on that reason, in this research made a simulation to identified eyes iris based on Haar wavelet transform. First, the image of iris is segmented from eye image then enhanced with histogram equalization. The method used to extract the feature is Haar wavelet transform. The features obtained is energy value. The next step is recognition using normalized Euclidean distance. Four experiments are done in the research, those are influence of number of sample in database, influence of Haar wavelet transform level, influence of different input image format and testing on eye images which are not in database. As the result, the highest accuration is achieved using Haar wavelet transform level 4 with two samples iris image saved is 85,58%. The lowest accuration is achieved using Haar wavelet transform level 1 with one sample iris image saved is 65,27%. Then, from the test result for the influence of different input image format, the .bmp input image format is better than .jpg input image format.     The dynamics of extreme climate change is happening lately it affects the intensity of pest attacks. Like other living creatures, live of pests affected by climatological factors such as temperature, humidity, rainfall and so forth. This study aims to develop an early warning model the emergence of the rice plant pests (PERMADI), especially rodents and WBC based on historical data of climatology. In this case, bayesian algorithm do statistical calculation depend on the input variables are temperature, humidity and rainfall. Output expected is early warnings the emergence of the rice plant pests using SMS Gateway.
