    STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN DAKWAH DI SULAWESI SELATAN MELALUI MEDIA SOSIAL UNTUK GENERASI MILENIAL

    This research is motivated by da'wah development strategies that tend to neglect the millennial generation in using social media. The purpose of this research is to find out the strategy of developing da'wah in South Sulawesi through social media. This research uses a qualitative approach and literature study method. Data collection techniques come from the Qur'an, journals, books, and media. Data interpretation and data analysis techniques were combined. The results of this study show that social media is a common way for millennials to communicate with each other and obtain information. As a result, approaches to da'wah dissemination through social media should be modified to take into account the interests and nature of millennial audiences. This study also emphasizes how important interactive, inventive, and relevant information is to capture the attention of millennials

    This study aims to examine the characteristics of late adolescent development and identify its implications for learning, especially in the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Late adolescence is an important transition period towards adulthood marked by significant physical, intellectual, social, emotional, moral, and spiritual changes. To achieve this goal, this study uses a literature study method by reviewing various library sources such as scientific journals, academic books, and relevant articles. The results of the study indicate that late adolescents have complex developmental needs that need to be understood in depth by educators, especially PAI teachers. Understanding these characteristics allows teachers to design learning that is more contextual, holistic, and able to optimally support students' spiritual and moral growth

    Prophethood in Abrahamic Traditions: A Comparative Analysis

    Abrahamic Religions—Judaism, Christianity, and Islam—are all prophetic religions. These religions share a common lineage of prophets with shared prophets. Prophets are the medium of communication between the divine and humanity. Although the faiths share the same lineage of prophets, starting with Adam, the description of the prophetic institution varies significantly in terms of the prophetic mission, authority, and finality. The paper aims to explore the prophetic mission of the Abrahamic religions, the link connecting them on a common platform, and the differences in the understanding of the prophethood in the three faiths. A systematic comparative framework is needed to explore shared roots and distinctive developments. The paper examines the concept of prophethood in the three faiths. It utilizes primary texts alongside secondary scholarship to identify the similarities and differences in the prophetic mission and its legacy, employing a comparative-theological approach. Judaism holds its roots in the teachings of Moses, Christianity in the teachings and resurrection of Jesus Christ, whereas Islam derives from the life and mission of the Prophet Muhammad. The three religions share a standard list of prophets with significant differences in the concept. It intends to evaluate and draw a comparison of the shared notions and differences between these faiths

    DISTORTION OF THE MEANING OF BIRRUL WALIDAIN: AN ANALYSIS OF PARENTS' MISUNDERSTANDING OF POWER RELATIONS AND CHILDREN'S DEMANDS FOR OBEDIENCE IN MUSLIM FAMILIES

    This study examines the distortion of the meaning of birrul walidain in contemporary Muslim families, where the obligation to do good to parents is often reduced to absolute obedience influenced by patriarchal culture and power relations. Using a critical-interpretive qualitative approach and a phenomenological-hermeneutic design, this study explores the experiences of parents and children through in-depth interviews and participant observation. The analysis uses Foucault's theory of power relations, Erikson's developmental psychology, and the relational ethics of maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah. The results reveal that reducing birrul walidain to mere total obedience gives rise to the phenomenon of toxic obedience that limits children's autonomy, hinders identity formation, and weakens self-confidence. In contrast, families that integrate religious values with the principles of developmental psychology are able to create a dialogical and humanistic relationship pattern, so that birr is understood as compassion, openness, and moral collaboration

    Interfaith marriage is one of the topics in the realm of family law that is often discussed from time to time. This topic is important to discuss because it still often occurs in a plural society with various dynamics. Many scholars are of the opinion that interfaith marriage is haram or prohibited. This paper focuses on the study of interfaith marriage from the perspectives of Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah. Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah are the two most dominant religious organisations in Indonesia. NU is known for its tolerance towards traditions in Indonesia and Muhammadiyah is known for its purification of Islam in the world of education. This research is a library research whose primary data source is the book Bahtsul Masail and Tarjih Muhammadiyah, while secondary sources include books, journals, articles relevant to the topic discussed. The results of this study show that NU and Muhammadiyah forbid interfaith marriage because it will cause harm. NU and Muhammadiyah have different legal foundations. NU based its legal determination on the Qur'an, hadith, and ijma' of scholars, as well as classical books. In addition, the legal istinbath method used by NU is the qauli, ilhaqi, manhaji method. Meanwhile, Muhammadiyah is based on the Qur'an and hadith. The methods used by Muhammadiyah are ijma', qiyas, maslahah mursalah

    Strengthening Santri’s Literacy:Optimizing Meta AI to Foster Creative Writing of Islamic Short Stories at Pesantren Baitul Qur'an

    This article focuses on strengthening santri (students) literacy by optimizing Meta AI technology to foster creativity in writing Islamic short stories at Baitul Qur’an Pontianak. The main argument presented is that integrating adaptive and personalized artificial intelligence can address the challenges of conventional learning models in pesantren (Islamic Boarding School), while simultaneously promoting motivation and higher-order thinking skills in line with the demands of the Society 5.0 era. This article is based on a Community Service Program (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat) involving collaboration between lecturers and post-graduate students of IAIN Pontianak, who directly implemented a learning intervention using Meta AI as a creative medium. The research employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, emphasizing active engagement and collective social transformation. The results of the community engagement program demonstrate that the utilization of Meta AI significantly enhances santri’s creativity, productivity, and digital literacy readiness, while reinforcing the spiritual values the pesantren uphold. The significance of this article lies in its contribution to the enrichment of technology-based community service discourse within the context of traditional Islamic education. Furthermore, it is a practical and theoretical reference for similar future initiatives.Artikel ini berfokus pada penguatan literasi santri melalui optimalisasi teknologi Meta AI dalam mendorong kreativitas menulis cerpen Islami di Pondok Pesantren Baitul Qur’an Pontianak. Argumentasi utama dalam tulisan ini adalah bahwa integrasi kecerdasan buatan yang adaptif dan personal mampu menjawab tantangan pembelajaran konvensional di pesantren, sekaligus menumbuhkan motivasi dan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang sejalan dengan tuntutan era Society 5.0. Artikel ini lahir dari kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) yang melibatkan kolaborasi antara dosen dan mahasiswa Pascasarjana IAIN Pontianak, yang secara langsung melakukan intervensi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Meta AI sebagai media kreatif. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Participation Action Research (PAR), yang menekankan keterlibatan aktif dan perubahan sosial bersama. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan Meta AI secara signifikan meningkatkan kreativitas, produktivitas, dan kesiapan literasi digital santri, sekaligus memperkuat nilai-nilai spiritual pesantren. Signifikansi artikel ini terletak pada kontribusinya dalam memperkaya kajian pengabdian masyarakat berbasis teknologi dalam konteks pendidikan Islam tradisional, sekaligus menjadi referensi praktis dan teoretis bagi program sejenis di masa depan

    TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP IN THE MANAGEMENT OF MODERN PESANTREN

    Modern pesantren face significant challenges in managing Islamic educational institutions to remain relevant in the era of globalization without losing their identity. Transformational leadership is one approach that can be applied to ensure that pesantren can develop adaptively and innovatively. This study aims to analyze the role of transformational leadership in the management of modern pesantren, focusing on strategies for enhancing human resource capacity, strengthening financial independence, optimizing technology, and establishing strategic partnerships. The research method used is a literature study (library research) with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data sources were obtained from indexed journals, academic books, and relevant policy documents. The data were analyzed using content analysis techniques with a thematic approach to identify key patterns in the implementation of transformational leadership in modern pesantren. The results indicate that transformational leadership plays a crucial role in driving positive changes in modern pesantren. Through systematic strategies, pesantren can enhance human resource capacity through leadership training and certification, strengthen financial independence by managing business units based on sharia economics and productive waqf, and optimize technology in pesantren management systems. Additionally, partnerships with universities and industries create opportunities for pesantren to continue innovating and improving their competitiveness at both national and international levels. This study contributes academically to the discourse on pesantren leadership and serves as a foundation for further empirical research. It is expected that the findings of this study can serve as a reference for pesantren administrators in implementing more effective and sustainable transformational leadership

    MODEL KEPEMIMPINAN DALAM LEMBAGA DAKWAH

    Leadership is one of the important aspects in a da'wah institution, because an effective leader can influence the success and progress of the institution in achieving its goals. In the context of da'wah, leadership is not only about giving orders and supervising the implementation of tasks, but also about influencing and motivating members to achieve the goals that have been set. Da'wah institutions need leaders who can understand and apply the principles of Islamic leadership, as well as relevant leadership theories. Effective leaders in da'wah institutions must be able to combine various leadership styles wisely, adjusting to the needs and goals of the da'wah institution. These findings provide insight into the concept of leadership in da'wah institutions, including the principles of Islamic leadership and relevant leadership theories. In addition, various leadership styles that can be applied in da'wah institutions will also be discussed, as well as the importance of effective leadership in achieving the goals of da'wah institutionsKeywords: Leadership Model, Dakwah Management; Dakwah Institution.Kepemimpinan merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam lembaga dakwah, karena pemimpin yang efektif dapat mempengaruhi keberhasilan dan kemajuan lembaga dalam mencapai tujuannya. Dalam konteks dakwah, kepemimpinan tidak hanya tentang memberikan perintah dan mengawasi pelaksanaan tugas, tetapi juga tentang mempengaruhi dan memotivasi anggota untuk mencapai tujuan yang telah ditetapkan. Lembaga dakwah memerlukan pemimpin yang dapat memahami dan menerapkan prinsip-prinsip kepemimpinan Islam, serta teori-teori kepemimpinan yang relevan. Pemimpin yang efektif dalam lembaga dakwah harus dapat memadukan berbagai gaya kepemimpinan dengan bijaksana, menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan tujuan lembaga dakwah. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan tentang konsep kepamimpinan dalam lembaga dakwah, termasuk prinsip-prinsip kepemimpinan Islm dan teori-teori kepemimpinan yang relevan.     DINAMIKA MAKNA HIJAB: Antara Kesalehan Personal dan Industri Fashion Global

    The use of hijab in the modern era has experienced a shift in meaning, from being a shar'i obligation to being part of a fashion trend and lifestyle expression. Social media and the fashion industry have made hijab a commodity that is influenced by aesthetics, social status, and popular culture, rather than solely by religious motivations. Many women wear hijab to look fashionable or because of environmental demands, rather than as a form of obedience to Allah. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze the shifting meaning of hijab from a symbol of sharia observance to a commodity in the contemporary fashion industry, as well as the impact of social media in shaping the construction of the meaning of hijab for the Muslim generation. This research uses a qualitative library research method, with secondary data collected from various relevant literatures. These sources include scientific journals, academic books, and verses of the Qur'an. The results of the study can be seen that the use of hijab in the modern era has experienced a shift in meaning from syar'i obligations to fashion trends, so that it often loses its spiritual value and emphasizes aesthetic aspects and social status. Therefore, it is necessary to reorient the meaning of hijab based on tawhid so that its use becomes a form of servitude to Allah, not just an expression of external appearance.Penggunaan hijab di era modern telah mengalami pergeseran makna, dari yang awalnya merupakan kewajiban syar’i menjadi bagian dari tren fashion dan ekspresi gaya hidup. Media sosial dan industri fashion telah menjadikan hijab sebagai komoditas yang dipengaruhi oleh estetika, status sosial, dan budaya populer, bukan semata-mata karena motivasi religius. Banyak perempuan mengenakan hijab untuk tampil modis atau karena tuntutan lingkungan, selain sebagai bentuk ketaatan kepada Allah. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pergeseran makna hijab dari simbol ketaatan syariat menjadi komoditas dalam industri fashion kontemporer, serta dampak media sosial dalam membentuk konstruksi makna hijab bagi generasi muslim. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode library research (studi pustaka) yang bersifat kualitatif, dengan data sekunder yang dikumpulkan dari berbagai literatur yang relevan. Sumber-sumber tersebut meliputi jurnal ilmiah, buku-buku akademik, serta ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an. Hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa penggunaan hijab di era modern telah mengalami pergeseran makna dari kewajiban syar’i menjadi tren busana, sehingga seringkali kehilangan nilai spiritualnya dan lebih menonjolkan aspek estetika serta status sosial. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya reorientasi makna hijab berdasarkan tauhid agar penggunaannya kembali menjadi wujud penghambaan kepada Allah, bukan sekadar ekspresi penampilan luar

    THE ROLE OF ISLAMIC SPIRITUALITY IN PREVENTING BURNOUT IN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

    The purpose of this study is to analyze whether there is a role of Islamic spirituality in preventing burnout in college students as well as the relationship between Islamic spirituality and burnout. The research method used is this research design using a descriptive qualitative approach. With literature study and filling out questionnaires through g-forms as data collection methods. The results of this study indicate that there is a role of Islamic spirituality in preventing burnout in college students. This can be seen from the percentage level of Islamic spirituality, which is 52.5% in the good category, 32.5% in the very good category. 12.5% are in the good enough category, and only 2.5% are in the bad category. While the burnout level shows that 35% are in the very good category, and 37.5% are in the good category, 17.5% are in the good enough category, while the rest, namely 7.5% and 2.5% are in the bad and very bad categories. This shows that the higher the level of one's Islamic spirituality, the lower the level of burnout in a person. In addition, there is a relationship between Islamic principles such as tawakal, prayer and dhikr, time management and life balance (Wasathiyah), patience and gratitude which have a relationship with Burnout. Islamic spirituality has a role in preventing burnout in students who are used as coping in dealing with various pressures and difficulties
