    As a scholar, Ibn ‘Ashur a prolific scholar. One of this famous works is about Maqashid Syariah. Where in this heory contains the concept of mashlahah which is considered in accordance with the times. One of the problems in the millennial era that is being faced by the world community, especially Indonesia is the Covid-19 pandemic. To deal with the Covid-19 pandemic, the government has established a PSBB policy. It is not the lockdown policy tha most parties have been promoting. The purpose of this paper is to find out the concept of mashlahah in the theory maqashid syariah Ibnu ‘Ashur regarding the Covid-19 polemik of the Indonesian government’s lockdown and PSBB policies in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. The method in this writing uses a research library that is deductive to analysis, where data is collected and then describes the data. Sources of data in this paper are in the form of scientific journals, books, online articles anda Indonesian Government Regulation related ti the theme. Data Collection techniques with documentation techniques. The results showed that in determining the benefit of law, Ibn ‘Ashur used a more philosophical approach. By examining the purpose of the legal text the looking for its arguments. In facing problems in the millennial are, the concept of kemashlahatan Ibn ‘Ashur’s maqashid sharia theory is still very relevant

    Islam perceives muslim women who obedient to Allah and His prophet. This is an implementation of amar ma'ruf nahi mungkar values written in the Qur'an and Hadith. In this research an extreme work was done by Muslim women, their courage in doing slicing the bark of rubber tree to get the latex (noreh) alone in the middle of the night located in the forest.This work really made the researchers amazed.It was interesting to be adopted by all women moslem that they can learnin and understand the life of a Muslim woman that happened in the village clearly. The method of the study uses descriptive qualitative research and the approach is Phenomenology Study, using data collection methods: interviews, observation and documentation, which include Muslim women, rubber workers, and including the people in the village. The location of this study is in the village of Kaula Mandor B, Kuburaya Regency by snowball regardingMuslim women plays an important role in family such as parenting children, obeying their husbands and their parents. While in data analysis, researchers would analyze, explore data. Data analysis is directed at research questions, data reduction, and synthesis. Triangulation and extension of participation is used as checking the validity of the data. The results of this study are the role of Muslim women, the courage of Muslim women, the upbringing of Muslim women, and self-portraits of Muslim women in Islam

    STUDENTS’ PERCEPTION OF FEMALE LECTURER CHARACTERISTICS IN TEACHING: A STUDY OF THE IDEOLOGY OF GENDER SEGREGATION AT STATE UNIVERSITIES IN PONTIANAK

    This study seeks to examine students’ perceptions towards the characteristics of female lecturers at State Universities in the city of Pontianak and identify the position of the ideology of gender segregation in the realm of the lecturer as an occupation. This quantitative survey research employed a closed-ended questionnaire as the primary data collection instrument. The questionnaire was administered to 286 students of faculty of education at the state Universities in the city of Pontianak. Pearson product-moment was used to test the validity of the items in the questionnaire by taking those of r0.3 as the valid question items. The reliability test using SPSS Statistics version 23.0 showed the Cronbach alpha value of 0.75. Descriptive statistics as a data analysis method was carried out using SPSS Statistics version 23.0. The results of this study highlighted female lecturers’ characteristics and position in the ideology of gender segregation from the students’ point of view. First, students’ perception revealed (1) the characteristics of female lecturer namely sanguine personality type (33.98%), (2) the communication readiness dominated by the power factor (37.14%), and (3) personal-social characteristics at the negative extreme of easily offended (33.19%), at the central point of tolerance (14.13%), and at the positive extreme of attention (26.13%). Second, the lecturer, as an occupation in the public sector is suitable for women with a percentage of positive responses of 91.47% with the determinant factors for successful classroom teaching and learning comprising the quality cognitive, social, and personal characters of lecturers without gender segregation

    The rodat dance, which is not favored by many young people, will gradually become extinct, while in its history the media of preaching to ground Islam through culture. The purpose of this study is: (1) to determine the spiritual values of the rodat kuntulan dance, (2) to determine the message of da'wah in the activities of the rodat kuntulan dancers, (3) to determine the socio-religious impact. The research used in this study was a qualitative research approach and these results indicated that: (1) there were seven movements in the spiritual value of the rodat dance, first was the opening movement depicting a person's humility and politeness, second was greeting movements, such as the prayer movement teaching humans to be closer to Allah SWT, third was strolling movements such as the zikir movement as an invitation to contemplate the purpose of living close to Allah, fourth was the movement of horses, this meant that humans must have a firm and strong character, fifth was, the movement of ablution, meaning the order to clean oneself, sixth was the movement of menthul-menthul and carrying hands means soul knight, seventh, the closing movement was interpreted as the full time where the living human would definitely experience death. (2) the message of the da'wah in the rodat paguyuban rodat laklada dance, was in the song to remember the living. The message of preaching through this verse was an invitation to humans to be aware of death.     Why Indonesia Prefers A Mono-Religious Education Model? A Durkhemian Perspective

    This work aims to investigate the preference of the Indonesian for a specific type of religious education model, and to provide a theoretical understanding of this preference. In particular, this study aims to answer two research questions: How do Indonesian practice mono-religious education model? How should this practice be understood from Durkheim’s concept of mechanical solidarity? Three models of ethnographical study were conducted to answer the research questions: Analysing the state’s law on education, particularly with regard to religious education, in-depth interviews with school’ managers (Kepala Sekolah) and religious education teachers as well as the students. This study found that Indonesia prefers a mono-religious education model, as shown in the State's laws on education and the practice of religious education in schools. Unlike previous studies that mainly describe the practice of certain model of religious education, this study offers conceptual understanding of the practice of religious education by Durkheim's notions of mechanical solidarity. The mono-religious model is a social fact because it consists of the norms and values that are practised by and commonly found in all members of society. Comparative studies on the practice of religious education in Muslim countries might be needed as this mono-religious education model is a common practice by Muslim societies

    Cases of hate speech in West Kalimantan increased from the previous year, especially in the momentum of the Democratic Party: the election of the Regional Representative Council (DPRD) of the Province, Regency and the City, the Governor and the Regent/Mayor. Actors of hate speech use social media to publish their content. In its development, related to the momentum of the elections, hate speech also uses religious and ethnic issues. At the same time, the use of politics as religion and ethnicity has become an important issue in the battle of regional heads in West Kalimantan, which is repeated every five years. Political events with religious backgrounds in other regions are also encouraging and disturbing vulnerability in the area of West Kalimantan, as is the case with the DKI Jakarta Regional Election which discusses religious and ethnic issues. These two issues have always been a magnet for politicians to gain support for local political rivalry. George (2017) discusses episodes of hostility, hatred and offense between groups in society that oppose natural responses that arise in society. However, this is the result of sophisticated campaigns made by political entrepreneurs for their strategic interests. The strategy of insulting is a double technique in political battles, this is what is called the twist of hatred (hate spinning).     Artikel ini mengkaji pemikiran al-Ghazali dalam menanamkan nilai religius kepada peserta didik. Metode ini bisa menjadi rol model untuk diimplementasikan dalam dunia pendidikan di Indonesia. Peserta didik harus menjadi fokus utama dalam perubahan bangsa ke depan. Merekalah yang akan meneruskan perjuangan para pendahulu dalam memajukan Indonesia. Internalisasi nilai religius menjadi salah satu solusi dalam menyiapkan generasi milenial ke depan. Metode yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah library research yang difokuskan mencari metode apa saja yang bisa diterapkan untuk internalisasi nilai religius kepada peserta didik. Hasilnya ada beberapa metode yang bisa diimplementasikan kepada peserta didik guna internalisasi nilai religius; Pertama, langkah perencanaan penanaman nilai-nilai religius pada pesera didik. Kedua, pelaksanaan internalisasi nilai-nilai religius pada pesera didik. Ketiga, melalui kegiatan Intrakurikuler disesuaikan dengan visi, misi dan tujuan lembaga pendidikan. Pontianak goverment Builds good and representative mosque until 90%, Mass Reading Al Qur’an and make Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah education cooperate with minister of Religious Affarir and institution of state Islam religion in Pontianak. Setiap pemimpin memiliki misi masing-masing dalam melaksanakan kepemimpinannya. Walikota Pontianak sesuai dengan misinya yang akan membangun sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas dan berakhlak mulia karena Pontianak tidak memiliki sumber daya alam. Sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas diharapkan mampu berinovasi untuk melakukan berbagai inisiatif, kreatif di berbagai bidang ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Kualitas sumber daya manusia yang ingin diwujudkan bukan hanya cerdas intelektual akan tetapi juga cerdas akhlaknya dan bertaqwa kepada Allah SWT yang didukung oleh suasana lingkungan yang Islami. Lingkungan Islami yang dimaksudkan adalah menjadikan Kota Pontianak sebuah Kota Relijius yang akan memberikan kedamaian bagi seluruh warganya. Untuk meraih harapan tersebut Pemerintah berupaya melakukan berbagai kegiatan keagamaan. Membangun masjid-masjid hingga 90% layak dan representatif, melakukan acara Khataman Al Qur’an massal setiap tahun dan membentuk pendidikan Madrasah Diniyah takmiliyah bekerja sama dengan Kementerian Agama Kota Pontianak dan Institut Agama Islam Negeri(IAIN) Pontianak.     The Myth of Religious “Radicalism”

    This work examines an academic exposure on the issues of religious radicalism increasing globally not only in the West but also in the east countries. As a majority Muslim populated country, Indonesia is one of the reluctant examples in facing the problem of religious radicalism. In addition, this research paper examines the term of “radicalism” politically associated with extremism and terrorism. The primary issue is explicitly addressed to religious radicalism in terms of meaning and image. Hence, we perceive that religious radicalism can be understood as mainstream feature on religious behavior including religious actions leading to the steps of violent extremism or terrorism. Religious radicalism today is massively defined as a negative rather than positive connotation. Such glimpse traps us to be “narrow minded” in perceiving the role as well as the holy spirit of religions. Therefore, the critical questions of this research paper include what happens with the framing of religious radicalism today; How is the historical narration of radicalism; and is it a problem when someone being radical to practice and understand religions or beliefs. Lastly, how philosophical meanings of the word radicalism alone response such debate. However, the general terminology of religious radicalism has led significant social, political, and cultural impacts toward religious harmony and religious life particularly in Indonesian context

    Implementation of Character Based Learning Quality Improvement With Islamic Full Day School System in The Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0.

    This study aims to describe the implementation of improving character-based learning quality with the full day school system in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 held in elementary schools. Elementary School, as the foundation for education at the next level, must be in good condition, quality, and teach character values. Primary school is the foundation to be able to continue at the next school level. If the foundation is good and quality, students will find it easier to get succeed in carrying out learning in the next school. Quality learning is the key to the success of schools in creating effective schools, high quality, and demanded by the community. This study used a qualitative research approach with a multi-site study design at Al-Gontori Islamic elementary school and Al-Azhar Islamic Primary with a full day school system. The results of the study indicate that learning is carried out by using government curriculum integration with the school curriculum sourced from the teachings of Islam. Active learning is carried out in shaping the knowledge and skills needed by students in the industrial revolution era 4.0, planting morality, implementing character values that are the core values of the school, and forming Islamic culture. This is done so that students have personal and social skills in preparing quality human resources in the future. Learning quality is improved continuously so that students have the competence and character that are by the quality standards set by the school. The full-day school system can familiarize students in applying character values under the guidance and supervision of teachers
